Or exchange.

ValiumQueen · 05/03/2013 16:09

Very good fruit Grin

PurplePidjin · 05/03/2013 16:14

VQ I'd be able to hear the screaming, it's not a very big flat.

I don't want to sell him, just need sleep so i can face all the other shit

StuntNun · 05/03/2013 16:20

Fruit I got a syringe thingy with the Calpol. I just squirt it out slowly into the back of the cheek and leave the dropper in his mouth until he's swallowed it all. Not sure how to do it with just a spoon though.

OP posts:
TheDetective · 05/03/2013 16:27

Right. Sat in drs ready to kick some ass!

VQ yes that's a good idea. I've often thought about it myself as I'm sure with clothes and reusables and stuff some babies will grow out of stuff an others just be growing in to them! I was thinking about passing on the bumbo at first when he didn't like it. He seems to have accepted it more now.

Damn this didn't post ^^

Anyway, out of GPs now. Got Omeperazole no problem when I asked. Only problem is the chenmist say it's a special order item and they can't get it til tomorrow and no chemist can. .

Lilliana · 05/03/2013 16:30

Sleep and grizzles today. She went down to sleep in cot no problem, wide awake 30 mins later, no problem. Grizzled and fell asleep on me 20 mins later = me stuck to the sofa for an hour - why didn't you just stay asleep until you weren't tired anymore? Just hoping good sleeping in the day = good sleeping at night

Sweet def not bad mummy, best thing to do when you get to that point. 10mins won't hurt LO and it gives you chance to get yourself together so you can go and sort them out calmly.

VQ no objections here either. Does anyone have a large bucket of sleepy dust for sale?

Fruit I do the same as Stunt but do find it difficult to do it slowly as syringe thing doesn't work smoothly, L takes it ok though. LO looks v cute in the box Grin

glendathefedupwitch · 05/03/2013 17:18

I posted early but pissing app ate it and now its hours later I can't remember crap!!! Oh bf'ing necklace off eBay to stop her yanking my nipples round when someone walks in the room!!!

Her jabs have made her unhappy, she just wants feeds and cuddles - I gave her calpol by syringe but as she always spits it out I gave her a clean finger to suck as soon as putting a bit in her mouth which worked!! How come she can suck my boob or finger for comfort for hours but won't entertain any of the 3 different dummies?? I really think she could master self settling if I could detach a nipple or finger!!!

My placement uniform has arrived eeek it's huge around the boobs but tight on the bum n tum so the diet starts today!!! got until end of may to lose a lot so we got sea bass, salad n new potatoes for tea nom nom then lots of fruit to replace the crisps n chocolate we munch in front of tv!!! Got to start drinking lots of water yuk and give up my Capri sun addiction!!!

detective hugs for you & O hope you see an improvement soon - will he take the formula you had before the stay down??

YellowWellies · 05/03/2013 17:36

Detective glad you're getting the omeperazole - wish I lived local would have gladly popped round a few tablets to see you through Sad Give it a couple of weeks and you should see a massive improvement. If it persists you might need a dairy / soy free formula. Its awful - reflux screams break my heart. This too shall pass and all that.

MM Any news from the dermatologist? You're having a rough time of it at the mo - come round for a cuppa / walk in the sun if you fancy.

VQ great idea on the sale board on FB!

All good here, wee man a bit grizzly with teeth and did the biggest buttock reverberating fart in baby massage today - have never put his nappy on so quick Blush . 3rd jabs on Thurs - dreading it Sad

BigPigLittlePig · 05/03/2013 17:52

Grumpy baby has morphed into VERY HAPPY baby. Why? Because I've taken her clothes off. Am I breeding a future nudist??

Elizadoesdolittle · 05/03/2013 17:57

Well E seems to remain a mystery baby. The speech therapist cannot work out why she has this adversion to the bottle or in fact anything going near her mouth which isn't a boob. So this afternoon she had some pureed banana. Now I know E is only just over 16 weeks and in normal circumstances I would not let this happen. With DD1 I waited till she was 6 months and did BLW so this is completely alien to me. However I think it's safe to say these aren't normal circumstances. She only had a very tiny bit but she didn't cry and looked intrigued. It seems like we may be able to go home with the tube in but it still won't be for a couple of days yet.

detective hope o is ok x

vq that's fine with me re fb, good idea. Loving all the photos by the way.

stunt was going to say something to you but can't remember for the life of me what it was. Sorry!

TheDetective · 05/03/2013 18:17

Thanks ladies. Spent most of the day crying. Blush

Waiting for chemist to drop the losec MUPS off as alternative. Phew. O has still not fed since 4am and that was 3 oz. Fucksticks.

gardenpixie32 · 05/03/2013 18:24

I have one word for you all! Jumperoo! It is great, the girls love it!

DT2 gets grouchy and wants holding at around 5:15 as she is tired. Plonked them in the Jumperoos for the first time and they were entertained for 20 whole minutes! DT1 was fascinated with the flashing lights and music and DT2 jumped like a child possessed!

With the combination of the Jumperoos, a swing in the park, a long walk and a bath, they are both now conked out.

Going back to catch up now.

ShellyBobbs · 05/03/2013 18:50

Hugs Detective you must be at your wits end Sad

Tommy did the biggest poo I've ever seen before. It covered his back completely, was all over his arms and on his hair Shock A yellow bath later and back to my sweet smelling baby Smile

TheDetective · 05/03/2013 18:51

He still won't feed.

The teat isn't blocked. He sucks, then pulls away screaming and spitting up the what I've given him.

TheDetective · 05/03/2013 18:52

Have rubg nhsdirect but seems a waste of time.

StuntNun · 05/03/2013 19:00

Please don't worry Detective, O has reserves to get him through a short time without food. It won't do him any harm. I hope you get an answer soon. Have you tried him on his old milk?

PetiteRaleuse · 05/03/2013 19:02

Hugs and Thanks Detective

sweetpea1112 · 05/03/2013 19:04

Oh Detective I'm sorry, I have no words of advice only support Thanks

glendathefedupwitch · 05/03/2013 19:07

Detective - have got some of the old formula?? Try that?? On a spoon/cup/syringe?? Maybe he has an aversion to the stay down milk?? Sorry that's all I can think of!!! Hope you get something down him soon xxx

Evilwater · 05/03/2013 19:20

Detective - thinking of you. You must be beside your self. Thanks

To all the mums having a hard time, have a Wine or Brew. N has been grumpy most of the day too. At least we got a walk in the sunshine.

Evil

Pikz · 05/03/2013 19:28

Oh det, huge hugs and for O. I can only imagine. All I could suggest is some warm ready made normal formula? When LO isn't right he takes this better than anything else.

TheDetective · 05/03/2013 19:33

I just went to get DP from work. I was taking O to A&E. Showed DP what he had been like. Little fucker took 3oz and went to sleep.

Relieved but Hmm typical. Look like a paranoid wreck now.

Will try and feed him in 3 hours again.

I've no idea how the omeperazole works, but maybe it's kicked in? I tried feeding him 30 minutes after it, but it was an hour before he took the feed.

I've not no instructions on it.

Glenda, tried other formula to no avail. He just spat that out too.

ChunkyChicken · 05/03/2013 19:47

horseylady · 05/03/2013 19:49

det hugs. Must be a huge worry. If it continues then go to a&e but great he's eaten. Just keep offering little and often.

eliza hugs to you too!! Hope you get home soon and the support in place.

Fairly sure there are lots more?!
mm what's he done now?! I'm sure he loves you both very much.

Brain can't remember!! Sorry!!

Busy day here, loving the sun!!!! Shame it's rain tomorrow :( boooooo

YellowWellies · 05/03/2013 19:53

Detective it turns off the proton pumps which make stomach acid - it seems to sooth pretty instantly but you won't get a major effect for 12 hours or so as the pumps make the acid overnight. Remember when administering that you must give the same dose each day or an increase if needed as he grows (its highly weight sensitive) - you can't reduce the dose without causing a lot of pain as you'll flood his system with acid - its something that they can only be weaned off very very carefully. I'm so sorry you're going through this its horrible and terrifying. I know how upsetting this is to watch - it will get easier my dear Sad I'm glad he's had a wee feed - fingers crossed he'll take more. For you Biscuit Wine Brew Thanks
