I think he may have been over - hungry in the same way babies can melt down when over-tired and not sleep.

He is absolutely fine since he fed so that's my best guess really.

Little bugger Grin

Kyzordz · 05/03/2013 14:03

Entirely possible I think, LO has overslept before and woken up with an attack of the munchies. Glad he is ok now :)

Managed to extract my arm back, but cannot sew more legs as am not sure leaving him asleep on the sofa is a good idea. Bugger will decide he can roll over if I left him!

daisychain76 · 05/03/2013 14:04

Marking place. Lost track halfway through last thread. Got to know who are the bfps??? Think another one at the moment would kill dh off!!

Kyzordz · 05/03/2013 14:05

gtbaby and mummapanda are the only two mentalists I think (just kidding!)

ShellyBobbs · 05/03/2013 14:08

We have a baby meltdown every night after tea. Screams like mad, then sobs for a bit, feeds and then is fine. You have to judge when it's safe to look at them again without the crying starting up again Shock

ShellyBobbs · 05/03/2013 14:10

I think my hubby would go a good week in stunned silence. Especially as we still haven't done it yet Grin

TheDetective · 05/03/2013 14:24

AAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

That is all.

ValiumQueen · 05/03/2013 14:27

Something vexes you detective ?

ValiumQueen · 05/03/2013 14:29

I have done fuck all today, and enjoyed it. Well, I have taken care of J and took the kids to school and nursery, and done a load of washing, but the sink is still piled high and the house is a tip. Do I care? Do I fuck!

MissMummy1 · 05/03/2013 14:33

Her skin's not great. Has flared up again today. Resigned myself to the fact it's going to take a while to get on top of it Sad

Passmethecrisps · 05/03/2013 14:45

Shitting hell ladies! I go away for one day and I come back to a finished thread and a new one 9 pages long!

Don't even have time to post anything now.

Laters!

TheDetective · 05/03/2013 15:00

Right, off the phone now.

Poor poor O, he's given up feeding. He's putdownable, and happy because he won't fucking feed.

Am in a right state. Got a GP appt at 4, but have spent all day trying to get a feed in him, and anything that does go in comes straight back out.

Have been back to Boots with the bottles, got new ones.

Have been on the phone to SMA in desperation to find out what the fuck I am doing wrong.

Oh, got these www.nuby-uk.com/view-product?product_id=505. O likes them. Good for teething. Or a baby who just wants to chomp.

StuntNun · 05/03/2013 15:00

Thanks for the offer Dicks but I found the tube I had from weeks ago (phew!)

Contra you may have given up eBay but I bet you haven't given up Etsy! Monkey Mama Necklaces has some lovely nursing necklaces for babies to fiddle with while feeding (breast or bottle).

The FB group is called Nov 12 Babies Panda and has a picture of a pregnant lady with a flower. You should be able to search for it.

I saw the breastfeeding specialist today at the support group. She reckons if J does have a tongue tie then it is a minor one however he is not latching on properly. She thinks as a result he is not feeding efficiently so he is coming off the breast before he has got enough hindmilk, hence the green nappies. So that is why he is feeding so frequently and having such long feeds. She did manage to get him latched on to me properly and he took a long feed after I thought he had finished. It was slightly painful because my nipple was sore from his recent feeds but it did feel a lot better than his normal hoover latch and he didn't keep slipping off.

Her recommendation was to Google Jack Newman lactation consultant as he has some good videos on technique. She also advised going back to basics with skin-to-skin contact, nose to nipple, holding him securely to me, and unlatching him when he latches incorrectly. She reckoned 48 hours would be enough to retrain him to latch on properly.

Lots of hugs to grumpy babies and gin for their mummies.

LO asleep in my arms. Need to leave for swimming in 30mins. Oops.

He was better last night but still two wake ups. He looks so angelic asleep I just fall in love with him all over again.

Det hoping you get a resolution very soon Hmm

fruitpastilles · 05/03/2013 15:17

Just back from taking S for her 3rd lot of jabs, she cried harder and longer than the last 2 times. She is now fast asleep on me, which in itself is unusual for her at this time of day, poor thing.

FatimaLovesBread · 05/03/2013 15:19

M and I have had a lazy day after not much sleep (due to DHs snoring rather than Ms feeding).
Done some housework, how come when you do one thing you see five other things that need doing. I've been list making and it's never ending. How do people keep on top of things? I've been doing a bit a day but its bigger things that need doing and I don't want M to just sit there watching me do a deep clean of the kitchen etc Grin

I've also got loads of things to get rid of, clothes that were hardly worn, house stuff hardly used, where's best? I'm going to do some ebaying but wondered if there was somewhere better I could sell things?

BigPigLittlePig · 05/03/2013 15:30

Epic meltdown with heart-rending sobs and oodles of tears, as predicted. She then proceeded to sleep through half of the group before waking to cry for the songs.

We are now home though, sat in my comfy armchair with the french doors open and sunshine streaming in, and the laundry outside for the first time this year. Fingers crossed LO stays asleep after this feed so I can enjoy the sun and a cake

sweetpea you don't deserve a bad mummy award at all, it is far safer to clear your head for a minute and go back to the screaming baby calmer than to get hot/sweaty/increasingly cross. Glad LO has settled now though, it's awful when they get all worked up like that and you can't work out why.

stunt I'm so pleased things might be looking up on the feeding front
detective and mm - good luck with the doctors appointments

Funny feeling that sweary Wednesday will be welcomed with open arms, no?

ValiumQueen · 05/03/2013 15:35

Would folks object if we put things on our FB page for sale? It could be that one person is getting rid of something that another member is looking for? Obviously not to taking-the-piss levels...

detective hugs x

PurplePidjin · 05/03/2013 15:35

Attempt #2 failed, but he's been an angel for daddy so i did at least manage to get a break in the bath!

I'm right on the edge, he needs to let me sleep tonight, just a little bit. Please?

sweetpea1112 · 05/03/2013 15:59

VQ great idea re the fb page. No objections here.

ValiumQueen · 05/03/2013 16:00

PP can your DH look after him for a few hours tonight, with a bottle or two to let you rest?

fruitpastilles · 05/03/2013 16:00

VQ no objections here.

Has anyone got any tips on getting calpol into LO? She just spat dribbled it all out!

ValiumQueen · 05/03/2013 16:01

We are not allowed to advertise children for sale though. That would be wrong Grin

ValiumQueen · 05/03/2013 16:01

Not even on BOGOF

fruitpastilles · 05/03/2013 16:06

Damn I'd just boxed her up ready! See Facebook Grin
