spotty yum!
isthat poor poor ds. You are right, xh is an arse and gf has a lot to learn.

SpottyTeacakes · 08/03/2013 17:52

IsThat he should definitely have still had your ds it's not like he's got measles or anything.

Ds is very sicky again today yuck!

I just had a yummy dinner. It was very healthy until I piled on the coleslaw and garlic bread Grin

MaMaPo · 08/03/2013 18:23

Just worked out that I am probably holding my baby for 8-9 hours per day. No wonder I'm bloody tired. Bring on renewed ability to nap places that aren't my lap.

Spotty - yum. I don't eat dinner until 9pm.

Chloe55 · 08/03/2013 18:29

9pm? Shock I think my withering body would slip between the sofa if I had to wait that long! I wish dh did a 9-5 job though and that we could all eat as a family.

MaMaPo · 08/03/2013 18:33

Chloe - it's fair to say I'm hungry a lot! Not much chance for snacking, breakfast is early and lunch is hit and miss. No wonder I'm thinner now than before I got pregnant. I should get more snack food in the house. Wish I had some Aus salt and vinegar crisps...

SpottyTeacakes · 08/03/2013 18:48

I'm usually asleep by then Grin

We didn't used to eat quite so early but dd needs to eat then so we all eat together, or at least she and I do dp's often gets kept warm in the oven!

SeymoreInOz · 08/03/2013 20:59

Seconds I feel your pain, I have really struggled with a newborn in this heat. It has been a record breaking summer, even the Aussies are starting to complain now! Thrush thrives in warm temperatures, we had a nightmare with it. Is it too late in your stay to try another formula? The cost doesn't help does it?!

Spotty YANBU but that sounds suspiciously like my "breastfeeding diet"!! And YANBU, I got MIL a card but I draw the line at gifts!

Isthat Poor DS, shouldn't XH's girlfriend have gone somewhere else so that DS could see his Dad? I'd be livid too.

Pidj Great news that he's making such a rapid improvement, hopefully the fact that he's so healthy is speeding his recovery along? DH had to have blood tests for life insurance recently. He's in his mid 30s and quite active and slim. His diet isn't perfect though and he should probably drink a bit less. The tests showed elevated cholesterol and a borderline diabetic blood sugar level. It was the slap in the face he needed!

Spotty Coleslaw and garlic bread!!! Yum, I'm still dairy free at the moment. I've just added those to my list of things I'm going to gorge on...

DS did a 4 hour stretch between feeds last night, and he's just gone down for his first nap without protest. It might be the migraleve though.

WLmum · 08/03/2013 23:04

First night out done! It was short but sweet and I didn't feel anxious really. Think I might book a date night for DH and I!

HoneyMumandSon · 08/03/2013 23:19

I've had wine [hiccup] but god I needed it and DH doing first feed.

SeymoreInOz · 08/03/2013 23:48

Hooray for Wine and nights out!

WLmum · 09/03/2013 02:31

Quiet night? Don't tell me there's some sleep going on?! Fx!

PurplePidjin · 09/03/2013 03:23

Seymore yes, he probably wouldn't be here if he had a less healthy lifestyle. Glad to hear your dh got sorted earlier rather than later :)

WL 4 hours, 30 minute feed, then 3 hours shame my sleeping's fucked from not being able to breathe through the snot!

2blessed · 09/03/2013 03:35

Ds has just woken up screaming for a feed - first time in weeks he's been up at this time. Now happily cooing to himself in his moses basket.

Well done on your night out wli

IsThatTrue · 09/03/2013 03:41

seymore you would think so wouldn't you. Her parents are only round the corner and only too willing to take her in well they did when she had an affair with my H, as walking passed my front door to get to hers (she was my upstairs neighbour) was quite uncomfortable . XH kept saying 'but I've explained to him' and my brains thinking 'all a 6yo will hear is that he is not your priority! :(

Fidgety DS2 tonight. It does not help me get back to sleep!

utopian99 · 09/03/2013 03:44

Hurray for nights out wl, and for wine honey!

My friend's dh has made them a co-sleeping crib for the impending baby; it looks so pro. Grin Envy Definitely thinking of gettingon for next time.

Secondsop · 09/03/2013 03:51

isthat your ex husband's girlfriend should have buggered off elsewhere to allow the contact to happen. Your poor son.

seymore today's poo was much yellower so maybe he's adjusting to it (or got over whatever gave him the green poo). I've worked out he doesn't like formula feeding when he's too hot (he'll happily take breast fore milk though) which is a pain as that's exactly when he needs to feed! But once we get him cool he feeds ok. I guess none of us like eating when it's boiling.

Just checked the Melbourne forecast for next week ... 37 degrees on Thursday...

MaMaPo · 09/03/2013 04:33

Ouch, seconds. The weather really is bananas. I hope you're managing ok. I'm not surprised you haven't ha tho heat before when in Devember - iits a notoriously tricky month, can easily be cool and rainy. Jan and particularly Feb are when the heat really kicks in. Or march apparently.

My first feed of the night - not sure when my husband did the last. I suspect she doesn't need a feed now and we coul do some self-settling work; but given she doesn't suck her thumb, can't hold a comforter and won't keep in a dummy, I don't feel like she's got enough options!!! As she gets older she might be able to suck thumb/fingers, and then we might transition to one arm out of swaddle.

I have such a sore throat and have lost my voice! I have never lost my voice in Aus but it's happened 3-4 times in London. No idea why.

SpottyTeacakes · 09/03/2013 04:36

Every three hours without fail. Feeling pretty knackered.

Glad the poo situation is looking better seconds Grin we've got snow forecast next week Shock

SpottyTeacakes · 09/03/2013 04:50

Now he's asleep on my chest because he wouldn't settle in his cot. Silly cold.

Chloe55 · 09/03/2013 05:29

spotty I'm still feeling your pain, you are not alone Sad

I am Angry. My fb app crashed on my iPhone 3, I deleted it, tried to download the app again and it's saying I require iOS 5-what the hell is that when it's at home?!

Secondsop · 09/03/2013 05:49

mamapo my issue at present is that I only have 3 dresses that are anything like suitable for this level of heat, and even those are long-sleeved! (But very thin cotton jersey). My husband insists it'll get cooler - in fact he is insistent he'll be wearing the leather jacket he bought at Daylesford Mill Markets before our month here is out.

SpottyTeacakes · 09/03/2013 06:40

Chloe have you done all your software updates? Fb app is crap atm it takes aged to load every time you click on something

MaMaPo · 09/03/2013 07:46

Seconds, you need sleeveless cotton stuff! You must be wilting!

C fell asleep during last feed but woke when I moved her. She took ages to fall asleep, but she got there! Good girl!

Bad news Chloe your phone is too old for the new iOP (operating system) it's like trying to install Windows 8 on a very old computer. You will have to access FB through safari.

I think we have cracked the sleep, 7-4, 4.30-6.30. He stirred at 2 but managed to put himself back to sleep, he has mastered sucking on his hand. And he tried to roll over again but keeps hitting the side of his play gym!
