Sorry your ds's poorly IsThat.

Ds was down at 8 woke at 12,3 and up at 6. Ten minute feeds and straight back down so can't complain.

He's really snotty though, he just sneezed it all out but by the time I got something to wipe it with he'd breathed it all back up ShockConfused

WillYouDoTheFandango · 07/03/2013 07:34

Sorry to hear of the poorly big DC hope they feel better soon.

I went to Zumba last night and when I got in j had woken with wind and had been screaming so my mum and dad got him up. He was in such s lovely mood smiling and chatting. I left him naked from the waist down kicking on a towel he loved it. We put him back down at 11 and he's just woken at 7:15. I feel like a new woman!

MaMaPo · 07/03/2013 07:53

Is that and WL - hope the night hasn't been too hectic.

My husband came to bed at 1, meaning C had a feed sometime before that -
And then I managed to hold her her off until 5.30, and then she got up just now. In act, I wrote most of this post at 5.30 but C had such a short feed (8 mins!) that I didn't get a chance to finish it. I love you guys but I ain't staying awake after the baby goes down to finish posting!

FX for good nights far and wide.

Envy At everyone's sleep

EggsMichelle · 07/03/2013 08:18

Hope all the poorly ones are getting some sleep and lots of cuddles.

F slept 8.30-9.30 in the car, 9.30-5 in bed then 6.30-7.30 in the car and still asleep in his car seat now. Had a full week of good sleep from him, I'm going to feel shit when he has his first crap night!!!

MaMaPo · 07/03/2013 08:33

I wonder how different it would be having a baby when you have a car. Being able to see people further away, being able to use the motion to lull to sleep without having to be walking... I'll be back in Aus for baby 2, I'll find out then.

:( Spotty, your night didn't seem too bad? Quick feeds and baby down is great. Even though C slept 12-5.30, I was awake at 1, 3, 4.30 as well, as she roused, expecting to feed. Not a very restful night for me, even if it was for her. I need to learn to do better.

Poor big baby isthat. Sick is so horrid.

Dd1 not going to school as temp still really high. That's my one morning to exercise gone.

SpottyTeacakes · 07/03/2013 09:46

Mamapo I often wonder what it must be like to not need to drive anywhere! I would love it I think.

I've just redone our monthly budget. Eugh!

Hope the big ones are feeling better soon

MaMaPo · 07/03/2013 10:39

Spotty, I love bo

MaMaPo · 07/03/2013 10:45

Oops, being able to walk everywhere but when I'm tired I think a car would be so convenient! C has never been in a carseat yet.

Weigh in this morning, C is on the 91st percentile for height and weight. I'm pleased, because it fits with my perceptions. Last weigh in she was 50th for height and 75th for weight so that's a proper growth spurt.

Now walking around in the rain as she's asleep in her carrier. I'm carrying around 15lb of baby!

OP posts:
SpottyTeacakes · 07/03/2013 10:48

Wow that's a good growth spurt! Eugh walking round in the rain doesn't sound fun, I think you need to go and buy yourself a muffin Wink Speaking (typing?!) of cars I just got my car tax in the post Sad

MaMaPo · 07/03/2013 10:58

Spotty - I'm on my way to coffee with NCT group. May well have a muffin! Just passed a Portuguese deli with some very tempting custard tarts...

Yes, I don't miss the extra cost of cars. We will have to buy one when we head back to Aus - this time factoring in a baby! And eventually 2! How bloody grown up.

Isthat and WL - hope your poorly DC are better soon. Also congrats on your niece Isthat Thanks.

Stacks - hope you're ok and that hv was able to give you some advice/reassurance.

Mama - sounds like a good night and great weight gain. Enjoy your coffee.

Jab morning was fine (much easier than Tuesday was). He only had them 20 mins ago and it's already as if nothing's happened.

We're off to a homebirth talk later. The mws run one every few months for people who are thinking about a hb, and they've invited us to share our experiences. I found the talk really useful when I was deciding whether to go for a hb, so it's something I'm keen to do. Also chance to tell birth story to captive audience who actually want to hear it Grin.

HoneyMumandSon · 07/03/2013 17:40

Oh dear. D has started to notice the tv. Only time he's stopped screeching today is since I put him in his bouncy chair. I thought we were doing well till I realised he was staring paste and at the tv. How bad a mother am I if I let him look at it so I can han the washing up?

SpottyTeacakes · 07/03/2013 17:55

Ds watches tv sometimes. It's just a light show to them Smile

Chloe55 · 07/03/2013 19:12

Dd watches TV occasionally when she's sat on my knee and I'm watching itSmile making the most of getting to watch my programmes before cbeebies graces my screen again Hmm

WillYouDoTheFandango · 07/03/2013 19:58

Okay D-day, hen do is tomorrow. Starting to feel a bit sick and tearful. Do I go and come back tomorrow night and then go again tomorrow and stay the night or leave again and go and pick everyone up on Sunday morning? (It's ~50mins away) Or do I suck it up, go have a good time and numb myself with wine for the weekend?

I know he'll be fine and neither if us will die and in the long run it may do me good to have a couple of nights off, but I'm scared to leave him Sad

Barbeasty · 07/03/2013 20:20

How about planning to stay, but see how you feel and decide tomorrow night?

A will roll and wriggle around on his play mat so that he can see the tv. And baby tv seems to have an hypnotic effect. At the age of 2 DD could work the DVD player....

Went to the HV today and A weighs 11lb8oz. So just about tracking the 9th centile line that he was on before.

Hope all the DCs big & small, and parents are feeling better.

IsThatTrue · 07/03/2013 20:30

Urgh DS wasn't sick all day, until 5.30 pm when he threw up the only good he'd had all day (at 11.30) Hmm he's saying he doesn't want to go to his dads this weekend. Which is fine if prefer he stayed home when ill but it means I can't go and meet the new baby :(

So so tired!!

SpottyTeacakes · 07/03/2013 20:48

Ds won't go to sleep and hasn't slept since a twenty minute nap at three this afternoon Sad

SeymoreInOz · 07/03/2013 21:02

MaMa Snap! We sold our car when we left the UK and were planning to buy another one here but it's so expensive it didn't seem worth it for a couple of years. I really miss having a car, mostly when it comes to shopping and going further afield at the weekend. Also if you can bundle a screaming baby and 2 fighting DCs into a car you get fewer disapproving looks than you do on the bus!

Isthat You must be shattered. I hope he's on the mend soon. It's annoying weird how they always go downhill at night.

Willyou Can you make the decision when you're actually out? Is it too much of a faff to change your mind?

Utopian I think it might have been the co-sleeping! I have a friend who had the same experience. She decided to co-sleep from that point on! Hopefully it's not though and you have cracked it!

Not a great night here. He's just sooo hungry. I'm seeing the nurse next week to get him weighed and discuss starting baby rice at 16 weeks. It's not going to solve anything instantly but it might make him more settled

SeymoreInOz · 07/03/2013 21:10

Oh no spotty we have days like that. I hope he goes down soon. Sad

MaMaPo · 07/03/2013 21:28

Sorry, ladies, but I'm afraid that I have the most gorgeous baby on the planet.

OP posts:
WillYouDoTheFandango · 07/03/2013 21:42

Yes Seymore I can as long as I haven't got drunk!

spotty hope he crashes out for you soon

Mama your brain has clearly been addled by the pregnancy hormones as my little monkey is the most perfect little boy ever born

MaMaPo · 07/03/2013 21:52

Willyou- sorry you're so delusional. Grin

Spotty, I hope your whole household has fallen into a delightful slumber.

I've got the house to myself as my husband has gone to the pub with the other NCT dads to talk babies - I've eaten dinner and had a glass of red wine, so I think all this evening requires is a small KitKat and off to bed.
