Thank you for all your bedtime responses! I don't know if I'm putting too much pressure on myself thinking she should be down to sleep earlier, but then wondering if I'm getting us into a bad pattern if we don't try. I've never ever questioned what I do half as much as I have since she came along and the constant questioning from DPs mum doesn't help

Fatima my M is a nosey little sod, he often looks around as I'm trying to feed or his latest new trick is to chat away to me halfway through a feed, attempt to latch on then change his mind, chat some more and repeat this process at least 10 times.

Shelley I completely forgot about OBEM, thanks for the reminder and thank fuck for channel 4+1

VQ I watched call the midwife yesterday am and thought the exact same thing re contraception. Watching gave me a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. I thought it would end badly for all.

Bedtime here is around 7.45pm onwards, M has a bath around 6.30 with DH then I usually feed him on one breast downstairs, once finished take him upstairs, mobile on and feed on the other side. Sometimes he will feed to sleep, occasionally he won't and I put him in the cot awake, he then sucks his thumb to sleep. He usually sleeps until between 7 - 8am

Lol pass! misslaughalot e goes to bed at 8. He would go earlier I think but we do bottle, bath then bed so it ends up being that bed time is at 8. I don't know when to change this or if to bother, as 8 works fine for us. He has usually finished his bottle by 7:30, sometimes up to an hour earlier depending on when he has it and how fast he drinks but he tends to sit up for a bit if he's done early and watch tv whilst I eat. If his bottle is a later one he eats after me and if earlier, I sort dinner and then feed him and then me. 8 seems ok to me though, then he'll have a dream feed around 10-11 (he's due now actually so I should fuck off) and then that's him until 6-8 in the morning except for the odd squiggle for his dummy.

Glad you all like my octopus :)

What shitty shit car insurance crap you're suffering detective they are indeed cunts

Hope there's sleep all round! Am nackered and coming down with something so I hope there aren't many dummy squiggles tonight! Two nights in a row hes been wide awake at silly hours BUT if I give him his dummy he goes back off or just talks to himself. Fc this is as bad as his sleep regression thingy gets lol!

Evening.

Hugs to all the people who are being robbed. Of money and sleep!!!

Vq - we need bigger grow bags. Which is odd as he's still in 0-3 baby grows? All other clothes 3-6?!

Oh nuuuu! Missed out on ending the thread! I was going to tell my grandchildren about that in 30 years time!
I was actually off doing Zumba really enjoyed it though it made me realise just how much of a belly I had!!
Some of the girls hadn't realised I was pregnant before I stopped going at about 6.5 months! If my increasing belly wasn't a giveaway then my mum(who was doing it with me) coming over and rubbing it between each song should have been!
Going to catch up with the rest of the Fred whilst I feed a quiet baby for 30 mins before putting her down for the whole night! ... I wish!

Detective J has £60 never mind that it was £10 from me and a mighty £50 from his Grandma

There's a good table on sleep times here MissLaugh. J goes to sleep for the night any time between 8 and 1 but usually between 10 and 11. Confused

Must sleep now and try to think of something to be thankful about tomorrow. Tonight will be the 99th night of broken sleep in a row.

Damn. I meant to say like 2 days ago... Sorry horsey my sleep deprived mind must have confused you and VQ!! [grin{

So what was it about the spinchter you were saying?

Snot now seems gone, cough almost gone. Vomit.., still here. We had a 3 babygrow/vest changes and an extra vest change when he vomited in between me getting the babygrow done up on his last feed. Hmm

VQ I got the bus with O yesterday. First bus in 9 years! No reason to get one but after walking to the GP for his injections, it was a nice day so we got the bus to town and had a wander around before getting the bus home. Only flaw in my plan was, I had no idea which bus to get home or where to get it from. And mr google said 'fuck off' when I asked for the answer!

Duuuuh.

OHMYFUCKINGGOD.

I'm petrified. Please can anyone tell me if they know anything about boilers.

We just got woken up by the sound of what can only be described as the whole house shaking and someone drilling a jackhammer in to the foundations.

The boiler was going apeshit, sounded like it was about to explode. It was turned off at the wall (must have been knocked off when DP hung the washing - can be knocked off sometimes) but the pressure was at the top bar, and it literally was going mental.

I was seconds away from grabbing both children out their beds and running out the house. I didn't know what the fuck to do. Who the fuck do you ring when it sounds like your boiler is about to blow up?

Really? What do I do? Help.

shit, its doing it again

I would call british gas emergency line and ask for advice, or is there manufacturer details on boiler or in guide book. You said it is 18 months old. Get a maintenence plan bought asap. I could not sleep without mine.

Back to bed. Hope for none of the same.

How neither children woke up is beyond me Hmm

Evening ladies.

Slightly cunty day here. Went to post office and Cba to take the BjCS as its so fucking heavy with dd 13kg, ds 8kg and the pram itself which I think is 15kg with both seats and I live at the bottom of a huge hill. So I took the maclaran and put ds in the ergo. He screamed the whole time we were out. The stuff waiting for me at the post office was HUGE and they wouldn't hold it until the weekend when DH could collect it in the car. Had to load up around dd in the pram and drag it all home. Lots of kind old ladies offered to help. All the young uns just barged past.

Had a lovely morning with a friend from Beijing whose son is 3 days older than ds. So nice speaking to an adult who I'm not related to! Confused

Anyway, both kids asleep. Going to have a dose on the sofa.

Jeez it's quiet - have you lot all had the best nights sleep ever?!

I am thankful that it's still technically night time and therefore still technically wednesday so I can say buggery bollocks and arse to headaches and to toddler tummy bugs and to not getting a baby that sleeps :)

Exciting news for me N settled herself to sleep in her cot with a dummy. I'm not going to get too carried away as experience tells me she will never ever do it again, but I have allowed myself a little dance of joy.
