Thinking of you abby. I'm assuming DD is still on your lap. I'm so glad the next time we do long haul DS will have to have a child ticket as I got fed up of being squashed by the time we came back to Europe!

Good that you're going to talk it through. You do definitely need time to yourself, for yourself. I think we all forget that sometimes.

Sorry that you're feeling so rubbish Kitty :( It sounds like you're doing fabulously with your beautiful boys though and I think that you're being really brave in asking for help. Do you have a friendly GP at your practice that you can talk to?

Hope that your monster journey is ok Abby. I'm sorry to hear about your granddad and that you're going home under such sad circumstances.

I meant to say that we've got a Kitchen Aid food processor Fizz, not a blender. I'd love one of their pretty cake mixers but can't justify the cost. I cook absolutely loads and am always blitzing stuff in the processor but don't bake enough to make use of one of the mixers.

Kitty, I can't imagine how hard it is having two under 2. I can barely cope with one. Time to yourself is important, I think I need to remember that sometimes (although I also get the feeling I should be spending as much non working time with F as possible, and so it becomes impossible to take time off). Hope your hv can help.

We've just had a right shock. F wasn't sleeping, not unusual. Just talking to himself. He started sounding distressed saying "mummy wipe". I found him covered in olbas oil, and had apparently drunk some.

OOH said he should be fine but to keep an eye on him overnight.

We freaked right out. (albeit it a fairly contained way) imagining horrors of internal chemical burns and toxic solvents.

We now think there's so much on his pjs and bed he can't have drunk much. But blimey what a scare.

He was pointing at it saying "drink!" We were asking if he had drunk any and he was going "yes! drink!"

Stupid thing is we've got a lockable medicine cabinet. just didn't put it back.

I bet he isn't choked up now though UBW! If he did manage to drink any I'd imagine it would be a tiny amount. I base this on how friffing difficult it is to get out of the bottle in the first place!

B has turned into an apple monster! All he wants is apples!he loves crunching them. I've taken to putting apple down with every meal so he eats it! It'll be something else next week though!

F has just won an epic battle with Number Two (like from Austin Powers in the toilet cubicle scene: "show that turd who's in charge!") It was like he was in labour! poor thing.

None the worse for wear today after yesterday's drama.

Dh is making dinner. No doubt it will be ready by 9 and by that time I will be tired and have gone past being hungry. I'm an ungrateful old cow I know, but it really doesn't need to take that long.

I always find blueberry poo's strangely gritty. I have yet to witness a Smarties poo, I feel I am missing out.

ILike - sympathies re dinner, sometimes DH insists that we'll eat together once he gets home, then ends up not coming in until 9ish, i'm ready for bed by then!

9 is an early dinner if my DH is cooking (which he does most nights). I have taken to missing out my lunch on the days I collect DS from school, instead I'll have a when the children eat at 4.30 followed by any leftovers. Then it's supper with DH sometime before 11pm.

I feel a bit about eating their leftovers as my meal but I hate waste and food is quite expensive here in comparison to the mainland. If I'm honest I'd eat the leftovers even if I had eaten lunch as I'm a bit of a glutton so at least it helps with my portion control.

Oh dear. You're probably all very envious of my 5.45-6pm dinners then. Usually made while M is napping (like now) and fortunately DH is home around 5.30 so we all eat together.

But now time for a and a of the choc chip coookie variety :)

Argh the sleep monster is here. Didn't get enough sleep today so keeps waking up. I think we had night terrors early on. And A not settling either. Tummy ache I think. He's i with me but restless. I'm not getting any sleep.

He was up at 6 and off to Birmingham for the football. He had fri off and is off Monday. A is not himself very vocal and unsettled. Got his injections in the morning. Already cancelled them once.

He might not get them if he is poorly kitty. :(

Are you up to anything tomorrow with his day off? Any chance you might get some time to yourself? tell me to butt out, but he's getting his day at the football.

Haha would never do that fizz. We are leaving the boys with his parents and going for early valentines lunch. Will see how a is in the morning.

Indeed he is. He's a season ticket holder. But he's been to loads of flipping football in the last week or so. Orient yesterday (I was out with the boys), wembley Wednesday. I did go out for dinner with friends Tuesday.

Don't worry about delaying the jabs Kitty. They're not given at an optimum time for the lo's, it's so they get done before the majority of mums go back to work. so it won't be to A's detriment if they are delayed again.

Being on your own with the boys and knackered is shite, I hope your dh has the mother of all lunches planned for tomorrow!

My mum is a Hammer as was her dad! has your dh ever seen Russell Brand at a match? I love him. Probably just a little too much. I never usually go for men with his look. Apart from Michael Hutchence, he was my first proper crush

Make sure dh gets he night shift tonight. Just knowing you're not 'on call' makesva huge difference ime.

Well c25k has um, well, it's been difficult this week with shitty weather, DH has worked late twice and I have no one to leave B with. I have had a wee walk at lunchtime round the pond at work (avoiding the nasty swans). In fact maybe I shouldn't avoid them, I could run from them when they chose to attack :o

I made more soup today, b is again refusing to even take one spoonful. He would rather have a Hienz Mums own recipe Sunday Chicken Dinner. He is a demon for fruit just now though. Blueberries, apples bananas satumas. Not all at once, but at least he is eating fruit, if no veg. Bar the odd handful of frozen peas!

We had a tea refuser here tonight. Fishfingers chips and beans disappeared in a shot on Wednesday but tonight she licked ketchup off a chip, had a couple of bites of said chip and that was it. Even the beans were spat out. She's had a few grapes, a bite of cake and some banana (most of which was fed to DH). We'll have the banana on stand by for a 3am hunger cry :( but DH and I are full of cold and could do with a decent nights sleep.
