The answer to the sleeping though question was a chorus of "no"s but there were a few resounding yesses and a lot more keeping quiet because the rest of us would be well jel.

MM1 classic!! Grin

Gross isn't it in the bath?!

Titsalinabumsquash · 16/01/2013 21:06

J has found his thumb thank The Lord he's managed to settle sucking it a few times today!!!

MissMummy1 · 16/01/2013 21:07

Horrific. She was mighty pleased with herself though!!

Passmethecrisps · 16/01/2013 21:13

mm she will sleep the sleep of the freshly emptied! I wondered if p might poo in the bath today but no.

BigPigLittlePig · 16/01/2013 21:31

Catbag I too have the quiche banner, it's been there a few days though so think it's just a happy coincidence!

Chick little pig was 5 weeks early (luckily, as she was due on Christmas eve!). Congrats on getting your LO to double figures - we're a way off yet but she's doing her best to pile on the pounds. I think I'll feel weirdly sad when she does hit 10lbs because it means she's definitely growing up. I've sort of wedged her into one of her original babygros tonight, it's way too small and quite tricky to get the 2nd leg into so will have to be packed away after tonight. How old is your LO now?

MM I live in fear of bath poos - especially if I feed her when we're in the bath. Nothing gets the bowels going like a feed, so it would seem.

blonderthanred · 16/01/2013 22:30

Will be thinking of you tomorrow Eliza, best of luck. Let us know how you get on. It's a horrible feeling when you think it's going to be bad news but I do hope it's not.

Welcome Purple.

BPLP jealous of you feeding LO in the bath. I don't get time to get a bath, let alone one where I can feed him!! I've never done it (despite feeding my DD til she was 9mo), never thought about doing it tbh, and yet it seems lately loads of people have mentioned doing it. I just can't imagine getting the water hot enough for me, but not too hot for Aaron...

Eliza good luck tomorrow, as long as she looks well and is meeting her milestones etc she's probably fine, just a slower grower... But it is worrying when you feel like its a hurdle you have to face at every "weigh-in".

TheDetective · 16/01/2013 23:20

MM That made my day - but probably not yours. Grin Bad baby!!

Horsey We are hoping to go swimming on Friday - if the snow stays away. It is the council run classes - £4.70 a week. Waterbabies wanted £130 up front. I almost dropped the phone like a hot potato when they told me. Gonna stick with these council run ones we have found. Hope it will be good. He has his little all in one swim suit with a shark on the front Grin. Just need to get some swim nappies! We don't want THAT in a public pool....!

You buggers have been far too busy chatting today! Give up keeping up when I'm not on all day!

We made baby group - woohoo! Me and DP singing Old McDonald to a sleeping Oscar was not the highlight of my day! Felt like a twat stupid idiot! I had him sat up on my knee doing actions. He lolled his head on my arm and let the Zzzzz's rip! That does NOT happen at home! Hmm

It was bloody freezing outside today! Still can't feel my toes. But was on a mission to get out the sodding house today, I was up, dressed, make upped and hair done by 8.30. I didn't manage this pre baby, so post baby... hi-five!!

We had some good news today - DP's mum, offered to have the baby on one of the days we needed a CM for. So now we only need 4 hours childcare a week. Am made up. She is fantastic with kids. She should be a childminder, she would be amazing. Oscar is a lucky boy! And she said she will have him to fit in around any extra hours DP wants to do at work, as they work in the same place, she will tell them not to give him extra hours unless she is off, so that we don't need to worry about childcare. I wish I had known this ages ago! Would have been less of a worry, but oh well! I think she wanted to wait and see what kind of baby he turned out like. He's an easy baby, so she feels it will be manageable, and that is why she has now made the offer.

Right, off to bed for me! Been a long day, and I am going for my fanjo check up tomorrow at hospital. Nervous about what this may bring.

ChunkyChicken · 16/01/2013 23:57

To dream feed or not to dream feed, that is the question....

He is currently fidgety & grunty so ideal time, but last night he fed until 1am (from 12) on & off, & still woke up at 5.30, after feeding for about an hr. The night before was worse, feeding (& pooing, farting, swapping boobs & burping) for 1.5hrs!!! He then only went until 4.30, although no dream feed as I only finished feeding just before 11!!

ChunkyChicken · 16/01/2013 23:58

Oh, good news detective. One less thing to worry about the return to work.

Night all!!

kirrinIsland · 16/01/2013 23:59

Grin MM Clearly a warm bath does work then!

Good luck tomorrow detective

N has her jabs tomorrow, I'm dreading it - although I found the ones at 12 months the worst with DD1 - I hate it that you know it's a good thing for them, but they just think you've just let someone hurt them :(

katkit1 · 17/01/2013 00:06

Kirrin - hope the jabs are quick and painless. I sobbed on Tuesday during alex's, I thought I would be ok too and not cry - oh well. Alex was fine and cried for just a moment per leg.

Detective - ouchie not the most fun of day outs ahead for you tomorrow

Dixiebell · 17/01/2013 02:28

Those of you with older DCs, how are you finding it these days? Ds1 is 2.3. Yesterday I got cross with him so many times, having to negotiate over everything, he's started screaming when he doesn't get his own way, just won't do what I say. Usual toddler stuff really, but he wore me down yesterday. I found myself getting a bit rough with him- dragging him upstairs by the arm to get dressed for example. I think that the lack of sleep and having Teddy often crying while I'm trying to deal with him just made me less patient to deal with his usual behaviour, and I snapped more. How can I stop myself getting so angry with him?! Felt either peed off or guilty all day, and I'd rather I enjoyed the time with him as I used to!

Anyway, we did make it to our first toddler group since Ted's arrival. Teddy helpfully slept all the way through it. I miss the lovely quiet baby groups I used to go to with ds1 tho...can't take a rampaging toddler with you to those! Ds1 at CM's today so looking fwd to a quieter day.

Dixiebell · 17/01/2013 02:44

Want to see les mid with Teddy...those of u who've been, how comfortable was it feeding/holding LOs? Wondering whether it might be sensible to take a cushion or something to prop him up or rest my arm on...

GTbaby · 17/01/2013 02:47

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 17/01/2013 03:55

Today has been all about over-active letdown, over-supply and vomit! I have used every muslin square I own! How do I cure this please? Answers on a postcard...

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 17/01/2013 03:57

No sleep here GT! I haven't got to any groups yet. I hope I'll be able to but I hate having to cope in social situations (I'm partially deaf - just enough to make chatting awkward) so I've been putting it off. I'm getting fitted for a hearing aid next week so I might wait until I have that.

We're on the third feed of the night here (12:30, 2:30, 4) so might have another one before morning. J is a chubby little thing compared to my previous two skinny runts, I'm not sure why he feeds quite so often, most days he has an hour between some feeds. It's like growth spurt feeding all the time. It could be that I've been eating so much chocolate that he isn't actually getting milk, it's more like chocolate milkshake.

Catbag · 17/01/2013 04:54

I'm here, but ridiculously tired so am just going to lurk...

TheDetective · 17/01/2013 05:14

Oh thank you Oscar!!! So after his early 8.30 start yesterday, he was tired by 9.30 last night. He fed and was asleep by 10. We went to bed at 1130. Didn't bother with a dream feed as he fed at 7.30 and wanted his bedtime feed (screaming, eye rubbing, general bedtime cues seen!) 2 hrs later, so I knew he would do his longer stretch. But figured he might wake anything from 2 onwards. Well he went til just before 5. I now love him just that little bit more. Grin

don't slap me oh sleepless ones!!!

And in the 10 mins I've been writing this, he has almost finished his feed. Who swapped my baby?!

TheDetective · 17/01/2013 05:17

Sorry cat Blush
