Happy new year everyone! Another one here who slept through it all (except for being woken up by the fireworks, but not woken enough to actually be bothered to get up).

Sorry to hear about your DD PR. I hope she is discharged very soon.

Good news about all theses with babies sleeping well. Can't say we have that here. Every night is different but tonight, for example, he settled at around 8.15, woke at 10.30ish (when I went to bed so DH gave a bottle). Don't know what time DH got him settled again but the previous night it wasn't until 2am and on other occasions it has been around 12am. Am expecting him to wake again around 6ish

I think Ewan is working!!! Using in conjunction with the no cry solution technique. Today is the second night in a row that she's basically only wakes for a feed and then goes back into cot . When she goes back she may not necessarily be asleep but that's when Ewan seems to come into play and do the trick in keeping her calmer ....

Ewan does look a little evil tho.... But an evil hypnotic genius at that!

I've come downstairs to use my breastpump because A has just spent about 2hrs using me as a human dummy!! I know this because as soon as I offered the other boob, he stopped feeding. Luckily, it wasn't constant & I was asleep for much of it!!

Also DD has a temp of 38.4, lowest night temp since boxing day...

Happy New Year!!! :)

Happy New Year to you all.

GOt back from NI on Sun, just finished catching up!

My thanks too for all the support and friendships. Someone earlier said they come here before Dr Google, I ask advice here first too! That says alot. My sanity has been saved by this thread too.

It has been a great 2012 I hope 2013 is just as groovy.

I am so sorry to hear of all of you with colds and you pr are having it rough. I hope things get better soon.

gt as . Stunt says it might be wiser to put two in hold as it is a completely different ball game. The busyness can be comedy! If you were sorted at home I think it would be a goer and gets all the baby stuff over with, but your PIL sound hard work and that you don't need that with two in nappies.

You fault horsey I dreamt I was back riding last night! Oh how I miss it. I have decided to wait to go back till the kids are in school and I might be able to persuade DH the field in front of our house needs a horse in it!

Love my Morrck. You could use it in a pushchair and pop the straps through, I do useit in the pram like a super swaddle! They do do a rambler Morrck which is warmer for a buggy.

chunky your DH has redeemed himself by the skin of his teeth.

My new year resolutions are to (this order);

ALWAYS sense check MN posts before posting Grin

Love my DH and kids with all my might

Know that they love me and are only trying their best when they completely do my head in Hmm

Meant to explain using pump because 1 boob like a deflated beach ball & the other like a canon ball!!!

Having to use self-settling at mo because DS is grunting & groaning upstairs (I can hear him downstairs but DH is sleeping through it all 3 foot away!!) and I'm trying to pump...

Just lost some of the milk collected in a breast shell by knocking it over... grrr!!! Not much but still. Don't cry over spilt milk, except when its breast milk you've just pumped!!!
