Thankfully she just kicked out a couple of times and did a tiny rear. She was very spooked but ok. I've worked really hard at stopping rearing so was quite pleased it wasn't a full blown one!! Fingers crossed she's stopped doing those now.

PetiteRaleuse · 31/12/2012 13:06

And the dog? Was it loose? Did you bollock talk to the owners?

OP posts:
horseylady · 31/12/2012 14:22

Off lead the Owner seemingly decided I was at fault!! I stopped!!! O should have found the local police officer and told him.

PetiteRaleuse · 31/12/2012 14:29

Stupid owner. They don't realise what danger they put riders in.

DesperateHousewife21 · 31/12/2012 16:12

pr keeping my fingers crossed for you.

We've just spent too much a fair bit on a new laptop Grin

NervousReindeer · 31/12/2012 16:46

Aw Petite at least there keeping a good eye on her. How are you feeling today?

horsey that must have gave you a fright

toomany I had a c section and I drove just under 3 weeks after, my insurance said check with your Gp and he checked me over and was more then happy for me too, I didn't drive a lot but felt a lot better knowing i could go out/use it whenever I wanted

Very nice dh hope you enjoy

My NUK bottle arrived today so going to get DP to try it later, she won't take frozen milk so I've been pumping like a cow and I now have enough for a full feed but don't want to put it all in the same bottle in case she won't take it and it goes to waste but if I keep some back then top up if she has the first bit she never seems to take it the second time

Anyone have plans for tonight?

kirrinIsland · 31/12/2012 17:09

Sorry to hear that PR - she's in the right place, but you must miss her terribly. xxx

horsey that must have been scary, glad you are ok. Seems your work on rearing has paid off!

Good news on hips and sleeping MM1

StuntNun · 31/12/2012 17:14

Nervous - stay up, drink mulled wine, watch the Seven Samurai (3 hours long), watch the fireworks on the telly, give a desultory cheer and kiss DH, go to bed.

OP posts:
NervousReindeer · 31/12/2012 18:00

The NUK bottle failed miserably Sad

horseylady · 31/12/2012 18:39

It annoyed me. At the end if the day we both should have been taking responsibility for our animals. No one died.

Ds has had his jabs. He's sleeping. Lots. Not sure how long it takes for the screaming to start. Had my chat too!! Love it how the nurse and dr both made assumptions on me having another!! Anyway have pill prescription, also info on the injection and implant. Any thoughts?!

PetiteRaleuse · 31/12/2012 18:58

Evening. DD1 still on high dose of oxygen but is eating so well they have taken her off the drip for now.

LO coughing but not excessively.

My appetite back so defrosted chicken to make curry but LO being colicky. Am starving. Hope she lets me cook my dinner.

StuntNun · 31/12/2012 19:07

Oh no Nervous

They don't always get upset by their jabs Horsey, some babies take them in their stride.

OP posts:
ValiumQueen · 31/12/2012 19:52

Glad you are ok horsey and hope LO is fine with the jabs.

PR thinking of you x

I am a bad bad mummy. DD1 fell in the toilet when getting ready for bed. The seat was up (DH obviously) and she sat down without checking. She got rather wet and has hurt her back. I was downstairs feeding, and heard a commotion. I burst out laughing when DH told me. He had used every ounce of his self control to not laugh at the time. Bless her.

YellowWellies · 31/12/2012 19:56

We got omeprazole!!!!!! - it took frustrated tears from me - but omigod the difference is amazing. :)

Happy New Year to all you lovely ladies and babies, am looking forward to sharing our adventure in 2013! DH has made roast pork and we'll be welcoming in the new year cuddling our wee man on the sofa xxx

ValiumQueen · 31/12/2012 20:01

Happy new year to all too x x x

YW good news, and working already. Wow!

Passmethecrisps · 31/12/2012 20:04

Tears are what it seems to take YW. I am glad you got it and that it made a difference already.

horsey I am glad you are ok.

You could tell your DD VQ that I once sat down on the toilet without looking and weed all over it. I was bursting! I was about your DD1's age. Old enough to be mortified.

P is in bed, we are settling down with. Supermarket curry.

ValiumQueen · 31/12/2012 20:06

I am not doing anything special tonight. I will be asleep at midnight if at all possible, although will no doubt be woken by the parties and event at the castle.

ValiumQueen · 31/12/2012 20:08

pass I have found her asleep on the toilet with the seat down and wee everywhere before now.

Evilwater · 31/12/2012 20:24

After a lovely day, start bedtime routine, and screaming starts! AngryMy poor ears. Sad

Every bedtime, screaming. It always takes 2 or more hours. Sad
Evil

katkit1 · 31/12/2012 20:30

hi evil which routine are you using and how old is your baby - we've not started anything yet but curious about what methods people are following

ChunkyTurkeywiththetrimmings · 31/12/2012 20:30

Perhaps he's over tired evil? Or late colic?

PetiteRaleuse · 31/12/2012 21:27

LO also screaming blue murder tonight. I am assiming colic, though she has coughed a lot this evening, decorating my jumper with coughed up phlegm. Better out than in eh?

DD1 seems ok except for the oxygen levels.

Crap. Forgot about fireworks and the cats are out. Ooops.

Passmethecrisps · 31/12/2012 21:50

PR there is no end to it is there? Shake some biscuits at the door - that will get the kitties in.

It will be a pretty damp affair at the castle tonight VQ. The past 3 years we have gone out to watch the fireworks from the garden but I don't even think we will go that far this year.

That is rubbish about the bottle nervous. Is it worth persevering?

Is anyone else totally not arsed about New Year? I can't be doing with it at the best of times but this year I would just like it to pass me by. I would quite like to just go to bed.

Currently watching Ashes to Ashes (telly is truly dreadful) with a glass of bubbly.

PetiteRaleuse · 31/12/2012 22:02

Pass, I have been psyching myself up to LO being ill now for the last few days. It'll happen or it won't. That sounds harsh doesn't it, but somehow preparing myself is helping.

You remember upthread I talked about a friend who looked after LO a little on Thursday and Saturday while I rested (Saturday) or went to hospital (Thurs)?

Well she has caught te bug too and went to hospital this morning having been unable to breathe to the extent she fainted. She's home now but also on antiobiotics etc. I feel espeially guilty as after months of unemployment she is due to start a new job on Wednesday. This strain of RSV is super nasty. Bt I still have some hope that LO won.t have too hard a time of it.

I have some hope I'll be allowed to sleep soon, so happy new year everyone :)
