Someone is about to face a full on MM1 strop. DD and I still in bed after a mammoth cluster feedathon (best laid plans for a girly trip to tescos out the window) and DP's selfish bastard mate (who we waited in all day yesterday for) has just turned up. House is a tip, DPs trashing my kitchen mmking pancakes (wtf?!) and M has just vommed all over herself and me. Angry

ValiumQueen · 16/12/2012 12:21

nervous I would sling it. It should be refrigerated if not used, it has been frozen, in luke warm water, out all day and night. Not worth the risk.

MissMummy1 · 16/12/2012 12:39

On the plus side I've just - JUST - managed to squeeze into a pair of pre pregnancy fat day jeans after M vommed over my last pair of leggings. Grin

YellowWellies · 16/12/2012 12:51

Stunt ta!!! Yeah I'm not entirely impressed with my HV - she shouldn't be peddling old wives tales! I will indeed be running in the New Year. it's going to kill me Grin

Titsalinabumsquash · 16/12/2012 13:47

I'm feeling very down today ladies, J simply cannot mange to keep his oxygen levels up on any less oxygen than he's already on, DP and both boys have this virus and possibly a tummy bug at home. J won't sleep at all today, I really could cry :(

TheDetective · 16/12/2012 13:53

MM DP trashed my kitchen making pancakes too for lunch! DS let the milk lie down in fridge so the fridge and all food we bought yesterday is covered.. And the house is a general tip.

But it's ok we are tag teaming to get it all sorted! Even stripped the bed to wash it yippeeee! And I'll get in it first tonight Grin all lovely and fresh for 2 seconds probably .

At least Oscar is a happy bunny today, we've had awake time with a little play and a bath and then feed, and snooze again! Gonna go do a few more jobs. Then wrap the huge mound of presents and write the cards while watching Harry Potter.

I do love DP and he helps loads don't get me wrong. I'm just a bit, errrrr... Fussy. And he isn't. So it can stress me out when I feel he isn't using his brain or common sense . I feel like I am the circus leader juggling all the balls in the air while the clowns run amock around me! I would like someone else to take the lead once in a while and make all the decisions...

Passmethecrisps · 16/12/2012 13:57

Happy sunday, ladies.

Really quick check in.

Yesterday wee P refused to eat anything at all. She slept solidly from 9am having to be woken to eat. However, she either refused completely or vommed everything back up. So, we ended up back in hospital.

We were initially told the thrush was causing her pain which was why she wouldn't eat.

However, at midnight a doc had a brainwave and suggested a lactose intolerance. Stupidly, I had not considered my dad when asked about allergies. He is an old fashioned farm man and doesn't talk about having an intolerance or an allergy - he just doesn't like milk. The reality is though that milk causes him major digestive discomfort.

From that they tried soy milk - bottle feeding and syringing got us nowhere so she ended up being tube fed over night. In the end she started vomming that up as well! However, one last vom seemed to wake her up (she slept through a heel prick test) and she finally did hungry mouth.

We are staying in again tonight to see if we can encourage her to eat more than 30ml at a time. It is definitely better than nothing.

She already looks a million times better . . . And I think I had my first smiles! She was so utterly miserable I was convinced she would never smile.

Oh and YW daktarin gel for thrush is the dog's bollocks. Yesterday her mouth was utterly coated - today it is gone!

Passmethecrisps · 16/12/2012 13:58

Big, big hugs tits.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 16/12/2012 14:07

Thick question from the Fairy house, I can't remember.... Is the crusty bit on the forehead between the eyebrows cradle cap as well?

ChunkyTurkeywiththetrimmings · 16/12/2012 14:20

Could be Sophia DS has it & it looks the same to me. With the crusty skin & the bald spot (he had a good head of hair), he looks weird lovely!!

YellowWellies · 16/12/2012 14:24

We've got daktarin gel - am wondering if it's because I'm BFing and expressing and we've been passing it back and forth?

Big hugs to tits and j, and to you pass and p. Your wee ones are in the best place. xx

Sophiathesnowfairy · 16/12/2012 15:08

Grrrr why don't men just f**ing THINK? Xmas Angry

TheDetective · 16/12/2012 15:46

Oh crapping hell Tits and Pass. I'm going to wrap up some good luck and send it your way! Keep venting on here - letting steam off helps a little.

No words of advice, just lots of hoping your babies get well and home pronto.

sweetpea1112 · 16/12/2012 15:51

Do you need to vent Sophia? If so, go for it! Smile

TheDetective · 16/12/2012 16:05

Just to update on my shitty washing machine! Washing the sleepsuits inside out, poppers closed, inside a pillow case, at 30 degrees, on a 30 minute wash, with less detergent and softner... has stopped them being ruined! I'm not sure which bit did the job, but just gonna carry on washing them like this! All his first size clothes look shite. I ended up taking back to Next a few which were destroyed after one wash. I have no idea why the machine dislikes baby clothes so much, seeing as our clothes come out just fine....? Oh well. At least I know what to do now Hmm.

Gutted I've got a load of pretty much ruined clothes now though. Not too much of the up to 1 month stuff has been ruined though, and he has outgrown (in length not girth!) the first size stuff anyway. Just would have liked the option to reuse/sell it. It is only fit for giving away really, for spare I guess.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 16/12/2012 16:08

He keeps making decisions that have an impact on me without talking to me. I know he thinks he is doing the right thing but I would like to have a input. Like apparently I can sit squashed inbetween the boys in the back of the car between Berkshire and Holyhead and dangle a bottle in LO's mouth at feed time so we can do it in one go. A five hour or so trip. Obviously LO will sleep all the way if we do it like that and then it will be me up all night and spending the rest of Christmas week trying to get back on track. When I have worked so hard very he last few weeks to get a routine in place.

I want a cuddle.

Am hiding in the kitchen sulking.

Titsalinabumsquash · 16/12/2012 16:15

Argh! The boys are not coping (behaviour wise) at home, I need to go back but then I have to leave the baby. This is so bloody hard!!! I'm getting a constant running update from DP about the kids feeling unwell, DS1 has had 2 poo accidents since we've been gone, he's 8 years old ffs of course this causes me worry!!!
I'm very much not coping right now at all.

TheDetective · 16/12/2012 16:19

He's an idiot! Tell him that you can't possibly bottlefeed a baby in a car seat! What are you meant to do about winding them? Or if they vomit. Or choke? Seriously... thoughtless idiots! Never mind about your routine which he wants to feck up!

Also, babies shouldn't be in car seats for 5 hours in one go. They need to be broken up, 2 hours is the maximum in one stretch. You can easily find links online to show him if he is being all stroppy and sulky bout it!

Tell him, thanks for the thought, but we need to consider xyz... Let him back out with dignity and get your own way? Grin

MissMummy1 · 16/12/2012 17:31

We managed a trip to tescos on our own! Driving for the first time in 5 weeks was a strange experience!!

sweetpea1112 · 16/12/2012 17:45

Well done MM I have only managed one trip out with O on my own so far and that was only a half hour walk around the block.

After being awake most of the day O is now asleep, waking every ten minutes or so to fart before going straight back to sleep. Classy child Grin

TheDetective · 16/12/2012 17:49

Fuck! I destroyed the bedding! We only have one set! I put the cream and purple duvet and pillow covers in with purple fitted sheet and pillow case instead of doing 2 washes like usual. Thought it should be okay. How wrong was I?! Never really liked it in the first place! Like it even less now it is pink! Off to google how to fix it and make everything better!

It would have to be Sunday evening. When all the supermarkets are shut. Hmm

In other news. My car has gone moldy. And DPs car reverse light has stopped working. And it's not the bulb at fault. For actual fucks sake.

It's ok because I am still smiling manically.

ValiumQueen · 16/12/2012 17:50

On Pinterest there is a tutorial for an attachment for the car seat for hands-free bottle feeding. Utterly dreadful.

DS slept in his cot for 1.5 hours. It is two weeks since he was in hospital. It has taken this long to get back to anything resembling normality. He is still up to his ears in snot. Bronchiolitis is a bitch!

ValiumQueen · 16/12/2012 17:52

detective the bedding should be fine. I wonder if the thermostat is wrong?

blonder how are things?

MissMummy1 · 16/12/2012 17:53

Mouldy car? Vinegar should sort it right out if it's on the inside.

Sweetpea it was quite stressful!!

TheDetective · 16/12/2012 17:55

I might have stuck it on 60 to slaughter any beddy bugs
