DS is still in newborn clothes at 4 weeks and most of his 0-3 month clothes are way too big.

candy I wind after every feed no matter how tired he is because otherwise it will wake him. Most of the time he brings it up quite easily.

Oh crikey! Tried syringing gripe water into P's mouth. Poor wee sausage properly vommed all over me. I have had to shower and all the excitement tipped p over into a screaming mess. She's sleeping on me now. Let the shoogle, swaddle, shoogle cycle begin!

She's been feeding since 6pm and has just taken 7 ozs - how??? She sleeps horizontal in my arms or on my bf cushion but as soon as I get her in the crib she starts!!! Does not help with dh snoring loudly and pulling duvet over his ears - makes me want to flick him!!!! Right off to try the crib again!!!!!

ds mostly sleeps propped up on my bf cushion during the day glenda. Ive given up on putting him in his moses basket, its creaky and wakes him. Will get a matress for his cot after christmas hopefully, i should be getting his childrens allowance in jan so can get one then. Nighttime feedathon has started, he's been going since 11 o clock, gah.

Hes out of his newborn clothes already too, he'll be 3 weeks on thursday, he's very long though, 55 cm at birth! Don't know where I got my two tall boys from, I'm 4ft 11 and DH is 5ft 9!

finally on the post-natal thread haha!

i was too impatient to get home from hospital on sunday and ended up back in hospital monday night as i needed a blood transfusion due to the amount i lost during labour, so glad to be home (again!)

DH is bein reli gd tho, wont let me do too much, allthough it is getting frustrating allready as i hate sitting there and watching ppl run round after me

hey ho, thats bubba fed and asleep in the cot, time for me to hit the sack!!

I find the mood swings amazing. I can go from feeling despondent and out of control to really happy, content and fulfilled after a bit of sleep! Or is this the madness setting in again.

I have a really achey lower back abdomen could this be period pains? Already? At 5 weeks - 1? Body can't you please give me a break?

And why oh why does he only make the alien noises when I put him down at this time of night? When all is quiet and I want to sleep.

We're having a bad bad night here, LO has been waking every 45min and the longest stretch is 1hr10min and now she's wide awake and doesn't want to settle

Soph I had similar pains at 5 ish weeks n started period a week later. Sucked!

Fucker baby log lite. They reel u in then make u pay for upgrade to carry on using the App. Oh well

N worse. Now I paid its not updated lite version it's added a new app. So data hasn't transferred.

Crappy crappy night. Tuesdays always seem to be shite. I reckon it's because they know that on Wednesdays I'm on my own with them both all day (no creche for DD1) and they tire me out to put me at a disadvantage.

Hi all, wondering if I can join you? My baby was born on 28th Nov by IOL due to reduced growth & is a beautiful baby boy called Oscar. He is generally brilliant but we are struggling with night times - hence the 4am post! He just will not settle in his basket (which he sleeps very happily in during the day!) and will only settle on me, meaning I tend to get less than an hours sleep a night at the moment.

Have been lurking on the thread for a while but would love to get to know you all and share in your wisdom! As a first time mum I will do my best to impart any words of support and advice as well!

Well baby J managed a 4 hour stretch from midnight til now. He's feeding happily from my 'bad' side and I'm hoping he will settl back into crib after a good feed.

Hope everyone else's little ones aren't causing too much trouble!

Been feeding since 2.30 and teddy looks so wide awake! Argh. Had one attempt at putting him down but no. Just want to get back under covers and warm up.

Just got DH to swap over duvets to put the warmer one on, only to realise this is the warmer one! D'oh.

I want to co-sleep. J is so restless and feeds too often so I'm up and down to his cot all night. Only I would have to get rid of the duvet and the DH which is easier said than done.

Is this 6-week growth spurt really that bad? I don't remember hearing about growth spurts before so I mustn't have noticed them with the other two boys. I don't tend to note how often or how long the feeds are so I suppose I must have missed them with previous babies. J will be six weeks just after Christmas so I won't have to go out anywhere or do school runs, I'll be able to sit on the sofa feeding and watching Christmas movies while DS1 and DS2 squabble and fight play with their new toys.

I don't remember noticing any particular growth spurts with ds1 either!

I'm completely shattered! I want to curl up and sleep for at least 12 hours uninterrupted

I'd settle for 7hrs solid sleep nervous where I'm not woken by DH's alarm (he sleeps through it) or by DD starring at me, telling me to wake up or poking me.

Dare I say it but we had a good night. After a horrible grizzly day he only woke at 2,5,7.30 and DP did the 5 and 7.30 so I have just woken feeling like a different person who has had some sleep.

Clearly I shall pay for this in some way today.

I've just skim read the thread as I didn't get online yesterday. Hope everyone is ok and managing to get a little sleep somewhere along the way.

Yesterday I had the dentist for me and DD1 - first time for her, so I made DP come with me as I couldn't see how I could deal with both of them without the pram (very small surgery). He pointed out on the way that he hasn't been able to get much done this week as I keep asking him to help with things I pointed out that there is a new baby in the house, and it's not just mine! And that there's been a load of washing in the machine for 3 days because I need 2 hands to sort it out and I don't very often have 2 free hands. I'm not getting anything done and it's starting to get a bit much

DH you have my sympathy - DD1 is also behaving like a typical 2 year old, and she isn't even 2 yet. I have a feeling it will get worse before it gets better.

We had some of her friends to play yesterday and I kept having to remove her for hitting :( I'm at my wits ends, I don't know how to stop her and I can't even work out why she does it - it doesn't seem to be anger or frustration - could just be over excitement I suppose. It's reaching the point where I dread taking her out :(
