Congratulations swiss

Good luck miss! Maybe you should phone the hospital about your ankle?

pass I was a bit of a bitch as many would say strict with visitors, we had alot of people wanting to visit and I made it clear before baby arrived that we wanted a few days at home to settle in together and be a family and I didn't want to get over whelmed with visitors so people waited to come and then come a couple each day for no more then an hour. It was hard with bf when people are there as I had to go upstairs

alayma oh your poor boy, at least the hospital know what's wrong and are making him better and thankfully he hasn't had anothe seizure, I hopes he's okay and I hope you are too you must be so stressed and worried Flowers

rowing my LO is 5w and no where near a bed time routine, whenever I think we're getting into some sort of pattern she changes it

evil I'm a bad mummy that's debaiting an elf costume Blush but if I did I think that would be in for a few hours Christmas Eve for photos Grin

We've been up for almost an hour an LO is playing with the boob and smiling about it Hmm she looks adorable but its not play time missy

Titsalinabumsquash · 28/11/2012 03:16

J is currently having his first bottle of formula Sad
He's fed all day and my lower abdomen is in agony, after 3 weeks I've started loosing clots. Not huge but not tiny either.
He doesn't seem to be much enjoying the formula but it seemed like the only option. He'll be back on the breast next feed though.
3 more days until DP is finished for the year. thank Christ

ValiumQueen · 28/11/2012 03:33

tits could you call triage just to say about clots. I am no expert but I am a bit concerned about clots at this late stage. Seems like a wise move with the formula. One feed at a time is the way to do it x

StuntNun · 28/11/2012 04:00

Are you doing too much Tits? If you're being very active that could cause clots. If they're bigger than a 50p then that's serious, if they're tiny you may just need rest. I had quite a few yesterday but did bugger all so I'm not sure what's going on.

We??ve got a penguin outfit from Tescos
. Was eyeing it up for ages but dh was horrified. He is an ex goth, doesn?t do cute. Anyway, then his muum bought itt for us, so he can?t complain,ha!

Alamaya · 28/11/2012 04:10

thanks for the replies ladies. With regards to the seizures they dont know if they will occur again but i have to keep an eye out. Any really scary looking ones i was told 999. Took a couple of days for me to stop staring at him waiting for it. Sadly with regards to his development they cant tell me what will happen other than he will have regular paed check ups to see if he is behind at all.
xx

kirrinIsland · 28/11/2012 04:40

alamaya your poor boy, and poor you - how stressful. Hopefully he'll be ok now.

DH I am finding it pretty hard with 2. N is the easiest baby in the world but DD1 is playing me up something chronic. Doesn't miss a chance to take a swipe at the baby :( and is generally behaving atrociously. Add to that the fact that she's always been a bolter, so taking them both out somewhere has been pretty stressful so far.
n had her hearing check before we were discharged, luckily, so that spared us a journey. Getting into the birth centre is a bit of a trek for you isn't it? I had to go back in for her Peads check, but it's not so far for me.

N has just brought up her whole feed, dirtied her nappy and then promptly filled the clean one! She is now AWAKE......

Random question for you all. Is anyone else unaware of when their waters went?! I have no idea what happened to mine! They didn't go before I got to the hospital so I guess they must have gone when I was pushing, but I only pushed twice and I didn't feel them go then.it's a mystery!

GTbaby · 28/11/2012 05:22

Ps someone up thread asked about teat flow size. When to move up. I have been meaning to ask the same thing so thought I'd bump the question.

Right back to sleep.

Titsalinabumsquash · 28/11/2012 05:24

I don't think I'm doing too much, I wonder if its the constant feeding and I mean constant, I'm still getting the contraction type pain when he feeds. Midwife/hv says the womb is fine and seems to have shrunk back as expected though. Clots aren't bigger than 50p so I'm not worried, just bloody miserable.

Had a brief set too with DP, he is starting to crack with no sleep and long commutes, he took J downstairs for about 20 minutes then came back and handed him to me. I muttered under my breath in sheer exhausted-ness "I've had enough of this" and got snapped at with "we'll go to the fucking dr then and get yourself sorted" Hmm

This was followed by an immediate apology from him.

Formula was all brought straight back up anyway, he's on the look out for comfort sucking but is a dummy refuser.

Titsalinabumsquash · 28/11/2012 05:30

Gosh look at me and my self indulgent moaning when Almaya's poor wee boy is having such a rough time, I really hope he picks up soon love, are they treating the bleeds? Sorry I know naff all about this sort of thing! I'm sending you and your little one rapid weight gain thoughts.

Titsalinabumsquash · 28/11/2012 05:32

Oh and Daisy we too have the penguin outfit from Tesco! It swamps him atm, he's only just started wearing nb clothes this past 2 days but he's a real chunky bum so hopefully it will fit by Christmas. Grin

Iheartpasties · 28/11/2012 06:09

marking my place :)

NervousAt20 · 28/11/2012 06:12

tits I think it's best to call too and try and take things easy, easier said then done I know Sad take care of yourself

Shock daisy you'll get done great pictures of LO in that outfit Grin

I'm hungry Sad

Alamaya · 28/11/2012 06:38

awww Tits me and hubby were like that with our first. In fact i got so annoyed with him not supporting and snapping i spent most of the first 2 months at my mums lol

With regards to the bleeds. the big one at back apparently is just clear fluid now so red blood cells are gone. Brain can reabsorb this. The little tiny one is still blood but they are not overly worried. Just have to have a head circumfrance measurement every week to make sure not started again xx

StuntNun · 28/11/2012 06:58

It's hard not to worry Alamaya but all you can do is hope for the best and keep an eye out for any signs. FC that's it and there won't be any permanent effect or any more seizures. But if there are any problems it's not the end of the world. My DS1 has ADHD and Aspergers and his development has been very uneven but he will catch up with the 'neurotypicals' before he reaches adulthood. Now this baby has a 25% chance of ADHD and a 20% chance of autism but we can only wait and see what happens.

Don't downplay what you are going through Tits. You had such a terrible time in the run up to the birth that you have much less resilience to the problems occurring now. Can you trade off nights with your DH so you're both getting sleep some of the time? What about the SPD? Has it cleared up now? I was given a ten-day course of antiinflammatories post-CS and they have done wonders for my hip bursitis! Shame all the sitting on my arse feeding J isn't doing much for the ol' sciatica. You win some you lose some I suppose.

Detective I think 3rd degree no one said. I was just told 'that's a hell of an episiotomy' by everyone who looked at it!! Will get some piles stuff. I couldn't see one.

Ds full of snot. He wasn't eating as much as normal or as fast. Eventually I sat up with him on me just to help him sound better!! Have also used saline this morning to help clear. He's now gobbling up his bottle!!! Poor boy :(

DesperateHousewife21 · 28/11/2012 07:56

kirrin yes same here, ds had been pushing it ever since dd came along. Hoping things settle down for both of us soon!
Yes it was a trek getting there and I parked miles away from the entrance so ds had to walk about a mile! All good though :)

I've been eyeing up outfits in tesco, I don't want anything too ott. Don't know if anyone's seen in asda there's an all in one outfit with a tutu attached! It looks sweet but bet its really uncomfy/ gets in the way.
I just want a nice romper/ sleepsuit with my first Xmas on or something that only costs a fiver.

I weighed myself yesterday and am a stone above pre preg weight, not what I wanted to see really.

horseylady · 28/11/2012 07:57

Alamaya - sorry to hear about your ds. Hopefully all will be fine.

Kirrin my waters going also a mystey!!

Tits hugs - it will get better

Stunt - fc your lo is ok too!! The figures are on your side!!

Ds has two Xmas day outfits!! Two people have bought him one!! A Rudolph one and an elf one!

thereistheball · 28/11/2012 08:33

Hi everyone. I have only skimmed a bit of this thread so I'm not going to name check everyone, sorry. But I thought I' check in to let you know how we're doing.

The boys are 3 months old now and have been home for 4 weeks: they are doing well. When they left hospital they weren't strong enough to take a full breastfeed, so I was topping them up by bottle of milk I'd expressed while they were in hospital (10 weeks in the end). That has now run out so if necessary I top them up with formula, and DH does a ff at 10pm so I can sleep. Yesterday we hit the 3 week growth spurt so now all feeds are taking two hours - we were in a nice routine but this has thrown it out. DH is out tonight so I have to get DD and sort out the evening for te tree of them, and night feeds, which is unfortunate timing.

Health wise they are OK. Their cerebral MRI scans came back normal, and they are having monthly immunisations against bronchiolitis. Those and their normal jabs mean I am seeing their paediatrician every two weeks. In 10 days they have hip ultrasounds and in 2 weeks they are being operated on for hernias. We go in on Sunday night and they'll be released on Tues or Weds depending on what anaesthetic they have to have: potentially one of each which will be tricky. Apart from the big stuff one twin has constipation which is making him very uncomfortable. They both get medicine for gas 3x a day, plus vitamins and iron daily, and weekly vitamin k. DD has a cold so I'm trying to stop her from breathig or coughing on us. All in all it's quite a regime.

Hope you're all enjoying your babies. I'll try to keep up with the thread from now on. Bon courage!

blonderthanred · 28/11/2012 08:36

I have the penguin suit too! I got it after seeing the pic in the fb group, I can't remember who posted but Love. It. We're usually really un-cutesy but where the baby is concerned there is no irony, only soft fluffiness and outfits with ears.

Tits just to say I started bleeding badly again at 3 weeks and there was loads of 'stuff' in the loo, but it passed in a few days so hopefully nothing to worry about (but obviously follow VQ's sensible advice - I told the midwives).

Detective please take it easy! I know you can't properly rest but surely DP can go to Morrisons for the next couple of weeks. Hope you start to heal. Oscar has always been one of my favourite names so good choice there. I know how you feel as my mum said 'I think I preferred Mango' (our nickname for the baby in utero) when I introduced her to her first grandchild after my CS. She still never mentions his name a month on (he is 'my grandson') - gawd knows what she's got against it but I was a bit taken aback.

NervousAt20 · 28/11/2012 09:00

Ladies quick question - DD is 5w5d and over the last 4-5 days she's been having quite watery poos it started of my just one of 2 a day then 10 normal but nicer the last day of so there's alot more watery ones to normal, she seems okay in herself her temp is 37.1. Do I need to go doctors or an I panicking over nothing??

PetiteRaleuse · 28/11/2012 09:27

What's the Facebook group? I keep seeing it mentioned.

CandyPop · 28/11/2012 09:27

chunky and any others who's little one had the snip for tongue tied . Does it really not affect the baby ? Ie. it doesn't hurt and the resume back to feeding normally?

My LO had tongue tied and I have apprehensively asked for a referral . I suspect her tongue tied may have caused poor latching and les to my mastitis in one boob and nipple blanching on the other ......

StuntNun · 28/11/2012 09:41

It's called Nov 12 Babies Petite, you should be able to search for it to join it. The picture is of a pregnant lady with a flower on her bump.

thereistheball wow sounds like you have alot on your plate atm, really glad they're doing so well even if the feeds seem never ending! Well done for keeping up bf that must be tough at times.
