DS just came downstairs to give me a card from his Dad... In which he has written to blah and blah, congratulations on the birth of your first child Confused.

He also told DS that Oscar is his stepbrother. If you want to be pedantic, he is his half brother, not stepbrother, but why the fuck would you say that to a child who has been longing for a sibling forever? They are both my children, and they are both brothers. End of it.

Also, he sent me a text after he was born asking what he was called, and I said we didn't have a name, as he didn't suit the one we had. He replied 'nice, call him scrotum then'.

What the actual fuck is that man on? He is 30 and behaving like a spoiled brat. Hmm

Bluetinkerbell · 28/11/2012 21:56

Apparently I pood 3 times and weed as well. Can't remember it though... Was on all fours and high on entenox. DH said midwives just dealt with it.

YellowWellies · 28/11/2012 21:58

I didn't poo - not sure about wee. Mindst I was sat backwards on the loo for quite a while - it was a super comfy position as I remember it. I peed in the pool - a lot!!!!! I was also totally bollock naked from about three hours in - just shuffling around in the nip with my wheely canister of gas and air. I could not be arsed who saw.... Blush

horseylady · 28/11/2012 22:13

Lol yw!!! One of my vague memories is being walked to the pool room well I don't remember the walk or the previous hour in the other room. I do remember being told the pool was ready and just taking my clothes off and getting in. Dh asked if I wanted my bikini I said no point.

I asked if I pooed he said no, sick, no. He also said I ate nothing so prob wouldn't have done anything as body sorted itself at home!! They made me do a wee on the toilet before deciding I was fully dilated and could now push.

I would never ever usually get naked in front of anyone but dh. Most of the time he's lucky then to see me!! In labour I didn't care!!

katkit1 · 28/11/2012 22:17

i had a delightful vomiting session loudly in the middle of the night in the ward - struggled to get help for a bowl until the nurses heard me retching - i blamed the tramadol - i stopped taking it after that - lethal stuff - furniture was moving

Chunkychicken · 28/11/2012 22:59

Think we've hit ANOTHER growth spurt. Haven't stopped feeding or if I have, DS is crying & rooting around. Good stuff :)

GTbaby · 28/11/2012 23:14

Hmm. I think LO has tongue tie. He has been screaming for almost an hour. N I noticed the skin that attaches tongue to bottom part of mouth comes right to the front. Like to the gum n tip of tongue. Looked online n I think it's tongue tie. But not 100% sure what tongue tie is. Confused.

Think LO is wearing himself out finally.

dh I'm 6 weeks n only dtd the other day also we have no other kids so have more time.

Chunkychicken · 28/11/2012 23:33

Sounds like tongue tie GT. If you look under your tongue, there is a "string" attaching the tongue to the floor of the mouth. In tongue tied infants, this is too short, causing restriction to the movement of the tongue, which affects feeding. However, in my health authority, they only do anything about it if you are EBFing. It can resolve itself by stretching over time or getting broken by toys/spoons being stuck under the tongue.

Chunkychicken · 28/11/2012 23:37

Also, we've not DTD yet but that's because I don't fancy it when still bleeding. Although that's finishing now... Think DH would like to v much. Will have to get more sleep first before I'll feel in the mood I think.

NervousAt20 · 29/11/2012 00:21

Up for first feed here

passthebakl wow sounds like you have alot going on at the minute, can't believe your boys are 3 moths already! Wishing you all the best with your busy sedules coming up

detective men can be such arseholes

We've DTD a couple of times, first time not comfie a although but gets better

DD is almost 6 weeks old and I haven't had any pains in my scar until now Confused not sure why though as I thought everything should be almost healed by now

Evilwater · 29/11/2012 01:33

And here we are again, LO is wide awake. Has painful wind again. When does it get better??

Evil

TheDetective · 29/11/2012 02:09

Oscar the grouch has gone on sleep strike Hmm. I came to bed just after 10 and fed him. He's been fed/changed/winded/cuddled ever since.

He is asleep on me now but will wake with in 2 minutes of being put in the basket.

Mummy would like a portion of sleep now please!!

StuntNun · 29/11/2012 02:12

Evil it does get better as their digestive systems mature. My DS1 had colic and cried for hours every day. I used Infacol religiously and one day it all stopped.

I'm on my second feed of the night. I tried a dream feed at 10 but J was resolutely asleep and wouldn't have it. My DM is cross with me for calling him a bad baby when he wet through everything and I stomped off to change him in the hall to avoid waking up the neighbours. Bloody semi-detacheds.

TheDetective · 29/11/2012 02:19

You avoid waking the neighbours?! Omg I must be a terrible neighbour! I let him cry for 5 mins before because I needed the loo and with the pad changes and cleaning down there it takes ages! So he had to wait. And cry! Blush

rowingdowntheriver · 29/11/2012 03:06

My neighbours have to lump any crying noises I'm afraid! We're mid terrace but luckily both sides have a couple of little boys each so have both been there and know what it is like!

This is my first feed of the nights better than the 1 am one yesterday, like I said yesterday, it seems completely random when he decides to wake for feeds each night.

Oh, and no, we've not DTD yet. We are both way too tired to contemplate it!

TheDetective · 29/11/2012 03:11

He is asleep. We've done the feed put down cry pick up feed cycle for the last hour again. That is 5 hours now. Seriously? He is being hard work tonight. He can sleep on my chest. I give up. He sleeps fine til I try putting him down.

Bollocks to it. It's the only way we are going to get any sleep tonight.

StuntNun · 29/11/2012 04:57

Our neighbours already put up with quite a bit between shouting, DH's guitar, DS1's trumpet and my saxophone. J cries the house down when he's getting his clothes changed which isn't very neighbourly at 2 a.m. Hopefully he'll be quieter soon and it won't be a problem. Plus next door on the left are taking next door on the right's DD to school so that they have room in the car to take my DSs to school every morning. So I really need to make the effort.

Third feed of the night here (if you don't count the failed dream feed) so it looks like we're settling into a routine. Maybe next week I can start expressing and DH could do one of the feeds. I'm hampered by not being able to lie on my left because it hurts my incision so I have to do every other feed sitting up in bed.

He slept. Til 430. Feeding again since then. Oh my word. I'm exhausted.

My new motto. Sleep is for wimps!

TheDetective · 29/11/2012 05:22

We haven't mastered lying down stunt, so all feeds are sitting up :( and sitting up hurts my fanjo. Can't win!

NervousAt20 · 29/11/2012 05:46

I can't feed in bed I know I'd fall asleep Sad each feed I get up and come in LOs room and use the nursing chair

Spinity · 29/11/2012 05:48

Oh my goodness, I have been up all night, as in no sleep at all Sad

My little miss is one week old and just will not be put down at night, daytime is fine. Grrr! So vey tired and have to be functional for DD1 in about 45 mins, babies truly are ridiculously hard work!

FreddieMercurysBolero · 29/11/2012 05:54

So my mother came to stay today. For ten days. Aggh. More on this fun later, he might be finally settling now...

TheDetective · 29/11/2012 05:58

Glad I'm not alone! 1 hour of sleep just isn't my cup of tea!!

misslaughalot · 29/11/2012 07:03

Woo hoo, I've finally graduated?

Olivia Frances was born at 17:53 yesterday weighing in at 9lb 6oz!

Horrendous labour all in all and ended up with EMCS but she's here now, totally gorgeous and very relaxed!! Snoozing on me now after a big feed and making the cutest noises. Plus, she can fart for England. I'm completely in love with her!
