Holding sleeping baby when Air is sleeping in his room Shock

I feel guilty about not doing a lot with Hope. She isnt talking or walking yet and there has been no growth spurt or anything. We have the top teeth thru but thats it.

Dh had the snip on Thursday and is having a self pity party. Im trying to be nice but its self inflicted so im finding it hard so i give him choclates and i will let him have a lie in tomoro.

Air is settleing in a school but i have lost his birth cert so i have to go get him another.

I need to learn to drive before next September so i have to get a passport and licence - i cant put if off for much longer :(

Sorry everyone is having a hard time right now and i hope it gets better soon.

AnAirOfHalloween · 07/10/2012 16:38

Thanks LMF holds up four bowls :)

OiMissus · 07/10/2012 16:55

I made a cheesy pasta for lunch, but hey, it's weekend, just a little won't hurt. :)

AnAirOfHalloween · 07/10/2012 17:00

Omg how can i spend £90 on food shopping on Friday and have nothing to cook for tea on the Sunday?

OiMissus · 07/10/2012 17:24

Easy! £70 on wine! Grin

LittleMissFlustered · 07/10/2012 18:56

I can spend £90 on Friday and have nothing in to cook on Friday! I am grade A useless at times!

Aethelfleda · 07/10/2012 19:07

I've got food in the house, but only got a fiver in my wallet if that helps....

Cuddling sleepy DS in the blanket I knitted him. So much nicer than tidying the house for tomorrow's viewing.....

LittleMissFlustered · 07/10/2012 19:19

Cuddling > housework :o

Figgygal · 07/10/2012 19:37

DS had Popeyes pasta from the AK cookbook for tea...... I spent £76 on a dress in monsoon that I def don't need but I saw it a few weeks ago and it's been calling to me.....buy me.....buy me figgy I hoped when I tried it on it would look shit but no I loved it. Now need dress appropriate activities so can wear

seven77 · 07/10/2012 19:41

Pregnant DSM? Hope you enjoy Zumba!

figgy I meant to say when you were saying how big figgyboy is, Eva had her review a couple of weeks ago, she's on 98th percentile for height, and is longer than our changing mat.

I was looking at old photos at my parents earlier, Eva looks identical to me as a baby. I took a photo of one of them on my phone, DH thought it was her!

NorthernChinchilla · 07/10/2012 19:42

It was meant to be a nice friends and family weekend, mainly over at my Dad's. However, it was a bit like figgyboy and the salmon, only much, much worse. Started getting really bad stomach cramps Saturday morning, and then although we got to my Dad's I spent most of the day in the loo. I haven't today, but only as I don't think there's anything left to be ill with. Have no idea what's caused it, and the only thing to be thankful for is that it's not come with a temperature/being bed ridden package.
Urgh.

DS is still the snot goblin, although it's improving a little and he's sleeping a bit better. Not helped by the next two teeth coming through on the bottom, so he's the proud possessor of 8 now Smile!

Glad there's some relatively good news on the housing front- it's a bloody stressful thing to go through when it's going swimmingly, never mind anything else, so am delighted for you ladies! But aethel, really, midori and orange juice Shock?! How, why?

Hope that you've had constructive talks with your (D)P tonight BJR- even if it's stuff you don't want to hear, at least knowing where you stand will bring some small level of comfort. Thinking of you.

Three days at work then off to see family again up North- it's non stop at the moment....

OiMissus · 07/10/2012 19:50

figgy I know a dress-worthy event! northern you must travel oop north again...
...for my 40th Birthday partez! It takes place chez moi, on Nov 3rd, there will be fireworks, dancing and black peas (Bolton bonfire night speciality)!
All dec thread peoples and families are invited and welcome! Grin

GeeandTee · 07/10/2012 20:12

figgy when DD started crawling she cried the whole time too! Then after about a week she started laughing hysterically instead and now she is quiet, but she does like carrying things around in her mouth like a little cat Grin

northern sorry for the horrible weekend of illness.

oi I also want to get rid of my mummy tummy but have ZERO willpower.

BJR hope the talks go well and you get things sorted out as much as possible.

Can't remember what else I wanted to say...but DD only woke once last night and slept until 7.30am! I didn't do anything differently, it is very weird. No idea how tonight will go. Am going to try and get an appt with the dr this week for my scar pain, am worried now that it isn't normal! Thanks aethel for the great advice as always!

OiMissus · 07/10/2012 21:03

Ali crawls with something in one of his hands. And uses all sorts as walkers - be they pans, buckets, coasters or my glasses case. Anything to hinder him...!

seven77 · 07/10/2012 21:14

Does anyone have any recommendations for pretty changing bags to stop me buying one of these If I spend £79 on one DH will kill me! I really don't want to spend more than £50.

LittleMissFlustered · 07/10/2012 21:32

You can get a pink lining bag on fleabay much cheaper than that :)

LittleMissFlustered · 08/10/2012 06:14

Tonight I have had enough. If there was another adult in the house I would have got my shoes and gone for a long walk. There isn't. So I can't.

Aethelfleda · 08/10/2012 06:40

hawthers · 08/10/2012 07:02

Poor you lmf hope with a few deep breaths you can make it to drop off time and then take a walk even if it is with octoboy in the pchair.

How much milk are our nippers supposed to he drinking? is the 600ml including milk on cereal, grimace fraud etc?

F is on milk strike. Yesterday he had around 120ml at 11 ish and 240ml at bed tome and that is it. I offered him bottles at 9 and 4 that he usually has some of but couldn't even get them in his mouth. His front teeth have just come through and there might be more on the way but he seems fine in himself and goes mental with the sippy cup with water in at lunch and tea. Has he just dropped them? Anyone got any ideas?

will continue offering them this week to see what he wants.

AWomanCalledHorse · 08/10/2012 07:19

(((BJR)))

seven, it aint pretty, but this is a man friendly changing bag & it's roomy. You can get it much cheaper elsewhere (paid £40 for min).

LMF, sorry you're having a rough time.
DS woke at night for the first time in about 2 months (bar last weeks A&E trip) & he's been very screechy today (tooth no.9 is coming through). Roll on 3pm when I can palm him off on DH

Figgy, hurrah for pretty dress!

mopsytop · 08/10/2012 07:35

Ugh horrible night. Minim crying for 3 hours for no discernible reason. Teeth I suspect. Feeling v tired now. She was a right grumpy pants all weekend, mainly refusing solids and just wanting bottles. She did the same last time she was teething. It was a trying weekend!

OiMissus · 08/10/2012 07:47

Well, he went down for his usual 5pm nap (it usually coincides with a trip home in the car from nursery/GPs), but didn't wake up again until 9pm. So he got his bedtime bottle and went back to sleep, but then woke at about 4am. I kept him snuggled in and settled until 5.30am, but he'd had enough then. As had I, my back was breaking. :) I got up, and DH took over the wrangling. they went for breakfast as I left the house at 6.30. Poor DH.
No one wants to get up for breakast when it's so dark outside!

OiMissus · 08/10/2012 07:59

BTW seven, it's hard to find stylish changing bags at a decent price. (But I don't like changing bags as a rule. I bought the stokke one because it is plain and simple, and of course it matches my stick :) ) I'd probably just buy an insert, in the future, a washbag sized thing, and then get myself a stylish tote of some description - and probably spend much more, but it would be fabulous. Wink
