30 weeks blooming heck!
Hooray for all the potty training, things seem to be getting better here, bought a new potty and it has really re enthused her, if that is a word.... That with buttons in the fridge has really helped... Haha

Music if it is over 24 hrs and u have a temp anti biotics should be sought... Don,t forget to get some probiotics into you though, hard as your dairy intolerant? But worth looking into.
If anyone has bf problems or want to talk about something please do give me a pm. I am happy to try and help :)

Biscuits we are the proud owners of two Hughs. I mean Tripp traps, had a cracking discount code for mothercare and took the plunge! Dd is small for her age so it is perfect for her. And a bit naughty but I can eat in peace with H in his with some extra cushioning to support him, he really likes it!

I love eBay for buying... I have bought a side board and dining set for under 300 and they are lovely pieces, I am in to shabby chic and like old chunky stuff as it just is so much better quality. We have been looking for a dining set for ages and even the hundred of ££s ones are made out of mdf or laminate!

Selling on the other hand.. Two non payers! Two! Speaking of which I have my bee + for sale, sand with off white hood. Wink

Any Ipadders know how to take auto correct off? Too many dyac moments! I emailed a friend about tescos and it changed it to testosterone! I had to wait two years to get an iPad so don't lose hope jealous brookers! I wouldn't have bought one for myself I don't think even though I have wanted one since they came out.

I had a childminder for Dd and it was the bet decision for us and dc isso confident with other children and settled into preschool a breeze due to it :)

scarletfingernail · 25/07/2012 13:15

Envy That's Tripp Trapp envy. Where'd you find the discount code Purple?

We've got loads of decent stuff to get rid of on Ebay but neither me or DH have got a clue what we're doing. We tried to set up the required Paypal account, but as DH had one years ago which he can no longer remember what e-mail address or password he used, it won't let him set up a new one. I'm reluctant to start doing it all in my name as it seems a bit of a stress, all the e-mails to and fro from potential buyers so we're a bit stuffed. We have a huge free standing bath stored in our garage in very good condition and no idea how we're going to get rid. Any ideas?

F sounds gorgeous Hawthers, can't believe he's 6 months Shock

DD's jabs were fine, she didn't even cry this time Shock I can't believe she's 12 weeks either Pomme. She's still a little dot though, only 9lb 10oz last week. I tried putting a couple of her little toys in her hands for the first time yesterday, she was holding them really well. I felt like a bad mummy for not trying before, I wonder how long she's been capable of that for.
Jabs were her second lot Biscuits

Never tried a Bumbo. I know people who rave about them. I always think they look uncomfortable, but I know they can't be.

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 25/07/2012 13:25

If I find a good discount code again I will post it on here. It was a staff discount code for 20% and then I used topcashback which gave another 5% there is a 10% code for mothercare on spends over 100 so could get 15% off?
I found it on Facebook from a group I am on :)

eBay really isn't that bad, I sold my bed for 50 cash on collection which was great as put it on there just to get rid. 99p auction collect only. Fabbo!
Take lots of pics in good light put them on picture trail or other photo site with a link on your listing so it doesn't cost. I have never felt bombarded or anything, there is an eBay section on here I think if you want some more advice :)

I wouldn't buy a bumbo new but if you find one reasonable second hand then go for it, if u have a local toy library they might have one to try?

Glad jabs went ok, h had his third lot fri and I am so glad we are done for a while!

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2012 13:44

We have two Hughs too Purple Smile. Ds1 still uses his as it just makes him that bit higher at the table (even though he's big for his age) and ds2 has this beaut to use with his - its awesome Smile. And you can use it off the chair too. I got that second hand off eBay too for about £60 and it was in MINT condition. I swear the woman couldn't possibly have allowed a child to sit in it it was so blooming clean! Am hoping I can resell it in a few months too and to that end I make have a muslin under his head in case he's sick.

Blimey we had just nipped out to Sainsbo's and while there ds2 went from 0-100 on the hungry scale in like 1 second. So I'm thinking it's not far, we'll whizz home so I can feed him (we feed much better at home - it's always hard out). Of course we get stuck in traffic, a car had broken down on a major roundabout. Ds2 screaming, ds1 doing his impression of a baby screaming - Gah! Peaceful now though - ds2 being fed, CBeebies babysitting ds1. Thank god we made choc brownies this morning - I'm gonna need them to make it through the afternoon Hmm.

Oh bumbo - we have one (second hand from eBay of course). Ds1 was always a bit meh about it and I haven't tried ds2 in it - I might do it this afternoon. Scarlet you're welcome to try ours out with dd when the time comes. I think they just need head control don't they?

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2012 13:46

Yay for good jabs Scarlet - what a brave star for not crying! My two wimpy boys both scream their heads off at any sort of jabbing Blush.

Wants3 · 25/07/2012 14:18

Grrr! The dog is barking at beetles in the garden again! I am stuck on the sofa feeding so can't go and stop him Angry.
how big can they be in that seat biscuits? I love the Tripp trapps but it would have to be second hand. At the moment D is in his bouncy chair when we eat at the table but I feel he is left out as he is low down!

jaggythistle · 25/07/2012 14:27

i did the same thing the other week biscuits DS2 slept through my weekly hospital visit, put him in the sling to nip round the supermarket on the way home and got stuck in traffic. screamed like mad. :( went back to sleep a bit when i got onto the dual carriageway. luckily DS1 was at home as we get the odd impression of baby too!

another pee in potty before nap time (sorry for potty updates, no pastries to report now), guess we just have to build up to longer with nappy off.

surely it's a bit wrong that i had to bribe him with a sticker to get off the potty for nap time. Hmm

DS2 has been feeding more in the (slightly) warmer weather. he's also a bit more unsettled and hard work, possibly because of his slightly sniffly nose bugging him. he only slept for 1-2 hours at a time last night. .

hope all the various boobs are feeling better.

I'm too stingy for a tripp trapp, but have looked at similar toddler/child chairs. DS1 loves his high chair and is still in at 2.10.

musicalmrs · 25/07/2012 14:39

Purple, I went to the doctors this morn, who confirmed the mastitis and prescribed antibiotics, which I'm now on! Thanks for the probiotic tip too - yes to dairy intolerance, but I think you can get probiotic vitamins now? Will endeavour to track some down tomorrow.

Iz loved baby massage! The woman running it suggested looking a nurseries/childminders now :( So will start the search soon. I think I'll be a lot more chilled out about the whole thing when I've found somewhere for her to go. It'll only be 2/3 days a week so I think it'll be good for both of us- once I've stopped stressing that is! Just found a new teaching opportunity where I'll be able to take Iz with me - strange but true - and local, which will be lovely!

Oo, the Tripp Trapps is clever! Way out of my price range unfortunately. Wants, we have the same problem with Iz - at the bouncy chair, which is fine for a while but I think she gets a bit bored after a while (she always gets grizzly!). Are there any other high chairs suitable for under 6 months, just for social purposes rather than eating?

Iz was weighed today - 10lbs 8 1/2 oz! Very impressed - and impressed that her mad daytime feeding is actually doing something! :)

Angry irrelevant question to the topic alert.

Do any of you watch The Killing? I've waited almost a year to find out who killed Rosie Larson, it's the final episode tonight and it's been pushed back later to 11.40pm Angry I can't stay up for an hour to watch it then.

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2012 15:51

Oh no Scarlet - how annoying! What channel is it on? Can you watch it on iplayer or similar? I assume you don't have sky plus? I certainly couldn't watch anything on that late Confused

Whoever asked I think the Tripp trapp newborn chair is up to 6 months and then they can sit in it with the baby set thing to make it a high chair

scarletfingernail · 25/07/2012 16:03

It's on 4. I can record it through on our digibox recorder (similar to Sky + I think), but I won't get to see it until tomorrow night and I needed to know! Been looking forward to it since last Weds Angry

I just put Finding Nemo on for DS. Now he's asking what's happened to Nemo's Mum. I've just told him that she comes back in Finding Nemo 2 Blush Surely a little white lie? 3.6 is too little to be telling him about Mummys' dying isn't it? Confused

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2012 16:55

Oooh that's a tricky question isn't it! I don't think I could explain it to ds1. I'd have to make up something I think. Especially Mummies dying - that could really freak them out! I had to explain a bit when one of my sister's cats died and she got a different one - but I can't remember quite how I put it - it was very tricky indeed!

How annoying about the tv thing - I hate it when that happens! Has it been good though that programme? I have heard of it and sort of wish I had watched it. How many series have there been?

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 25/07/2012 16:57

Oh no, Scarlet, how do you answer that? Don't know what I'd have said. Confused Bloody Disney films harrowing children's hearts and minds - Bambi, The Lion King - even the bit in Dumbo where his mum is locked up and can only touch him through the bars which always makes me cry.

Yay for ABs, Musical - hope you feel better soon!

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2012 17:00

We don't have finding memo - is it good? We have the box set of toy stories 1-3 but ds1 watched TS1 once then we put it on in the car for him and he said it was too scary Hmm (within 5 seconds of it starting HmmHmm) so we mostly watch fireman Sam, Octonauts and Bob the Builder Smile.

Oh I don't believe it! Ds2 is awake AGAIN! He must have slept for a total of 20 minutes today? He finally fell asleep in the library after we'd been to the optician to get ds1's glasses straightened, been for a milkshake and then got ds1's hair cut and been to the Co-op. then as soon as I've parked the pram up at home he's flipping woken up again Sad. He's a little grumble monster today Sad

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2012 17:00

Finding Memo? Errrr, Nemo!

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2012 17:01

Oh and we got ds1 weighed today and he hasn't put ANY weight on on a FORTNIGHT Confused

Eeeeeek

HV says see how he is in a fortnight and keep trying to feed as much as poss but if he is still not gaining we might need to look at weaning Confused

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2012 17:02

Not DS1, he hasn't put weight on in about a year. I meant ds2

pommedechocolat · 25/07/2012 17:05

biscuits - both dds have been absolute horror stories here today - I'm blaming the heat. At least ds2 hasn't lost any weight I guess? Has he been feeding less or been unsettled? He may just be plateau-ing after his epic gain at the beginning?

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2012 17:09

He feeds 4-5 times a day so I'm going to try ans make sure it's at least 5 times a day. Apart from today / yesterday he has been settled and chilled, but I'd blamed the heat for the crying noise emanating from him today.

Right if i get some tea on for ds1 then maybe I can try and feed grumpy again Smile. I guess it'll take me at least 3 days to get my supply up though?

pommedechocolat · 25/07/2012 17:13
scarletfingernail · 25/07/2012 17:18

Did you wean DS1 early Biscuits? What centile is DS2 on for weight?

The Killing is very good. Very gloomy and miserable, but a good story. It's the last episode of the 2nd (and I believe final) series tonight. It's the same murder since episode 1 of series 1 so you need to watch from the very start. The killer is revealed tonight (I hope).

If you want something good to watch though, Homeland was brilliant. Best thing on TV for yonks. The second series starts later this year, but the first series is out on DVD early September. I don't usually like that kind of thing at all, but I was hooked.

DS loves his DVDs. He didn't have any at all before his 3rd birthday, then I went a bit mad thinking he'd need occupying while I was busy with DD and bought quite a few. We have to fast forward a few "scary bits" such as Stuart Little going in the washing machine, but he is ok with the Toy Story ones. If he starts talking with an American accent we'll have to take a break from them Grin

JenFraggle · 25/07/2012 17:27

Hopefully DS2 will start to feed more Biscuits. DD always insists on a feed after a bum change even if she had one just before in addition to her other feeds. No idea how many she has a day, maybe I should keep track Blush

Ouch for the mastitis. Brooking that it buggers off and doesn't bother any of the brookers ever again.

I've been trialling cloth nappies this week. I've got a Bitti Tutto, Fuzzibunz One Size, Bumgenius Freetime and Totsbots Easyfit. So far we've only had leakage with the Bitti Tutto but that is because DH put that one on and it was so loose it's no wonder. The hardest thing I've found so far is trying to work out which poppers to do up to make them fit best.

DD has her jabs booked for a week today. She's got a cold at the moment so I'm hoping that clears up first poor thing.

hawthers · 25/07/2012 17:30

Highly recomend cars and my favorite cars 2. No scary bits as DS1 is such a scaredy cat that he wouldn't cope with any!

Not annoying and actually quite entertaining.

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2012 17:32

Hello Jen - lovely to see you Smile

Didn't wean ds1 until 6 mths Scarlet and even then I don't think he was that bothered - we did it more because he was 6 mths rather than any indicators from him. And up until 2 hours ago I would have said there were zero signs that ds2 would want to wean early. I'm still hopeful I can hold out until 6 months but i guess we'll see. I was quite surprised though for him not to have put on any weight at all Hmm

Biscuitsandtea · 25/07/2012 17:33

Cross posts Hawthers - maybe I'll try cars then. DS1 is also a total scaredy cat! I'm yet to work out actually what is scary in TS1 Hmm but might give cars a go Smile

There was a BTB 1 hr special on CBeebies last week though and he loves that so at 1 hr long that's as good as a film Smile
