Pressed post too soon.

Scarlet hope you're ok. Is DH home yet?

Jaggy hope you've had a bit of sleep Smile.

DH came home Weds night in the end Biscuit. Change of plan which I was very happy about.

Thanks for the concern everyone. I fell asleep downstairs in the end, woke a couple of hours later and have been completely fine since! My theory is that I had acid reflux hence, the going to be sick feeling, then got into such a panic about it I caused the diahorrea. Just so relieved. But, DS's potty was full of diahorrea this morning when I went in his room which has never happened before. Bless him for getting up on his own, doing it in the potty and then going back to bed. Wonder why he didn't call out...

scarletfingernail · 07/07/2012 08:38

Have a fab holiday Hawthers

Sounds like another growth spurt Jaggy. I'm always impressed by the amount of poo your DS2 seems to produce! DD only goes once every 4 or 5 days!

I doubt there's anything wrong with your supply at this stage Biscuits. Maybe your body was making too much for nighttime before? I'm pretty clueless about this BF malarkey though as I'm sure you've gathered!

jaggythistle · 07/07/2012 08:47

Aw, well done wee DS Scarlet! hope he feels ok too.

DS2 does seem to poo about 10 times a day. Touch wood he's not pooing so much at night which is less work!

Biscuitsandtea · 07/07/2012 08:58

Soooo glad you're feeling better Scarlet

Maybe it was a little bug if DS had a bit too?

Biscuitsandtea · 07/07/2012 08:59

And y y to the poo from your ds2 jaggy Smile you should get sponsored by pampers Grin

jaggythistle · 07/07/2012 13:59

his brother was the same, I'm sure it calmed down at some point... we're on the Aldi nappies at the moment, seem to suit the sensitive wee boys so far.

the not pooing at night seems to have helped R's bum, it's looking pretty good with almost no rash at all. yay!

feeding again now. only put him down asleep 10 minutes ago to get some ironing done for going away. he woke up and DH couldn't settle him at all.

he surely can't get any more folds of baby chub. Shock

looking a bit soggy down in the south of England, hope no one is getting washed away. pretty damp up here too.

Wants3 · 07/07/2012 15:24

Thanks for link biscuits I will be ordering at some point today, probably from first signs as they have a wider choice of colours and styles. :)
d has been sleeping a lot more in between feeds today so am thinking that all the switch feeding etc has boosted my supply. I also made myself stop worrying about losing it so as not to make it a self fulfilling prophecy iyswim.I just hope he has put on weight by Monday. (getting let down now just writing about feeding!)

Wants3 · 07/07/2012 18:51

Ergo on it's way :)

Evening all - dh out here and girls both in bed. Have just had some dairy free dessert made from soy beans. Fairly average as far as a treat goes!

A has been a bit tired and whiney today but has had more good naps so maybe we're getting there? DD1 still the duracell bunny.

I have now found a house to rent, a pre school for dd1 and a babysitter type for dd2 in Padova for the vague suggestion that we may move there! I love a good task :)

Raining pretty much all day here - anyone have any sunshine at all where they are?

I've had a bit of worrying my milk's gone a bit not enough biscuits but I'm sure it's just a mind thing. I do think though that if it wasn't for A's issues I'd be thinking about weaning properly in the next few weeks.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 07/07/2012 20:50

Yay for Ninja joining us! Bfing sucks in the beginning but it does get better although that might take several weeks

Scarlet sorry you've been feeling ill, I'm glad you avoided being sick though. No brooking that the nausea will stay well away now. Your CA holiday sounds like it was AMAZING! We've only got two weeks so we're planning to stick to Northern CA (San Fran - Napa Valley - San Jose (visit a friend) - Yosemite - Carmel/Monterey/Big Sur - back to San Fran via the Pacific Coast Highway) We would LOVE to go to Vegas / Grand Canyon / Death Valley / LA etc, but we decided it was too expensive and ambitious esp with little A.

Biscuits your cough sounds awful, poor you!! Sending lots of get well vibes your way!

Jaggy I sympathise with the constant pooing! DD is still producing multiple scary smelly nappies a day at ten weeks old. (We had a particularly eye-opening episode today in the sling! Envy

pommedechocolat · 07/07/2012 21:07

I LOVED Carmel and Monterey when I was in ca scream! Have you read cannery row ever? If you have then its like being in a book. The aquarium at monterey is awesome too and would be perfect for a baby too. Sounds amazing.

Just wanted to add my bit to the gina ford discussion - I too am slightly blindsided by the revelation that it involves crying to sleep. I always thought the nap thing would have been to do with all the swaddling, either that or knowing what the actual fuck a draw sheet is :)

Biscuitsandtea · 07/07/2012 21:11

Grin at the draw sheet Pomme GrinGrin

Hi all, too tired to post properly, sorry!

DD still peaky and hot. Temp going up to 39.2, but only 38 this evening so improving. Haven't made any plans for tomorrow too, but I'm guessing you might prefer to stay away from DD's bugs, (though they're fairly non descript but have involved lots of lethargy and being cuddled and carried round and sitting in the buggy for a long time with pretty high temps, not eating/ drinking)? Or are you non bug worrying types?! she's had a little bit of yoghurt today, some ice cream, and is a bit brighter so might be ok tomorrow. Is it terrible that I loved that yesterday I put her buggy in the lounge and she sat in it for 2 hours?! Not strapped in or anything, but she just wanted to sit in it!? Made the 3 v managable Blush. Til The Crying...

Anyway, love your organization pomme! I'm like you, always a project. Current one is to bottle feed an ebm bottle before bed to get more down em. S had forgotten how to do a bottle but breakthrough tonight, and either fluke or it helped. So just off to express to try to repeat tomorrow to see.

Gah. Long and self indulgent post
Sorry brookers

Will try n check in for any update from you too and pm address. Sorting more baby clothed so house bit of a tip though

DreamingOfPeace · 07/07/2012 22:45

Oh, n sun all day here pomme :)

pommedechocolat · 08/07/2012 01:23

Seriously, awake for an hour again?!
19 weeks on Monday and still no sodding sleep. Something's going to have to be done soon because I can't carry on like this for much longer!

Biscuitsandtea · 08/07/2012 02:18

Cough cough cough

Cough cough cough

Cough cough cough

Here we are again Sad

Pomme could you look at a sleep consultant person like Hawthers saw?

OP posts:
DreamingOfPeace · 08/07/2012 08:34

Argh, too, DD has some spots on her chin/ round her mouth. She's slept in and is refusing to let me take her out of her bag so i can't check the rest of her yet. (Can't be bothered to battle so doing S instead). Can you get hand foot and mouth more than once? Or is it the pox?! We had a totally rubbish night from S, so think dh and Ben asleep downstairs still...

Biscuitsandtea · 08/07/2012 08:39

Oh no Dream - no more illness allowed in your house! According to the NHS website you can get it twice SadConfused.

Chicken pox spots were quite 'raised' I found. I first noticed them by touch on both boys because they felt 'bumpy' iyswim. So it was more u felt it and thought 'what was that'.

Of course your DH will know CP though and be able to explain it much better than me Grin

OP posts:
pommedechocolat · 08/07/2012 08:50

DD has had hand, foot and mouth three times I reckon (although the second was more than it never really went away between flare ups iyswim). boo!

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 08/07/2012 10:44

Grr, MN ate my post!

Dream, do you think DD has chicken pox? Poor you! If it's chicken pox we won't come, but if it's not then we will - what does your DH think? I'll PM you our location and you can tell me how far away we are from you. The idea is to have Sunday lunch here and then get on the road by 2.30.

pommedechocolat · 08/07/2012 12:47

A really, really unsettled again today am planning another visit to a and e. Am favouring it over out of hours as this way I see a paed not a gp who so far have been of bugger all use. GRR. Fed up of this now world, throw me a bone!

DreamingOfPeace · 08/07/2012 12:54

Yep. Blisters on thumbs now, I can see 2 mouth ulcers already, I'd say H,F&M. Gah. Still, at least it explains the 39.2 temperature. How unfair they can get it more than once!! And your poor DD having it 3 times pomme

Plus its summer, therefore ridiculous you're coughing so badly too biscuits. I shall brook no argument it goes soon. No, today!!!
