Easy Milk is said to be 150-200ml per kg per day. Thats roughly 1100-1500ml. It must be before weaning.

Figgy - that's rotten. Work should have told you before you went on MatLeave.

Terrible Twos or threes happened here. I've got a DD who's having terrible 6's & 7's! Sad

Just getting Sky fed & ready for bed. DP is out, so once girls are in bed then I'll be jumping into bed too.

Dd has the terrible twos and I can't see it improving by Monday so guess the three-nager months will begin! She's generally good but pure evil when tired and likely to lash out. She also whinges and whines a LOT - so annoying, winds me up...

AWCH thankfully Dp did his poopys in the toilet so phew! He got a sticker...

Ds cried in his cot prior to nodding off for the night so hoping he sleeps through but fully expecting at least one wake up.

Maybe i should name change to REMputsmykidstosleep?

Report
aethelfleda · 10/05/2012 20:49

REM alternate between being inspired and lazy. (they nicked the chords and most of the tune line for "Bad Day" from their own song "It's the End of The World As We Know It (and I feel fine)" ). At least bother to plagerise someone else!! I do think a lot of their (especially earlier) stuff is great though.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 10/05/2012 20:53

That should of said DD didn't have terrible two's or threes, just the terrible sixes & sevens!

Both my girls are asleep so bedtime for me!

Air REM is great. So maybe a name change is in order.

Hi all! At work all day so catching up now. Major sympathies re cancelled classes grrrrrr

Exhausted after a week of minimopsy waking up every half hour (or more often), at 4 this afternoon I had a major slump!I had three coffees today, most unlike me (usually only have one) but I was soooo tired. On which note, bed! Fingers crossed minim has a better night. She's waking herself with coughing and then getting upset cos she's awake. Poor little bean. So I hope for her sake as well as mine it's a better night!!

I think I need to admit defeat with this stoopid implant. I've barely stopped bleeding since having it put in (maybe a week of not bleeding here and there), my hair is still falling out in massive handfuls (side effect apparently) and I've felt the all too familiar twang of sciatica which I haven't had since I had a 4-inch ovarian cyst removed a few years ago (cysts another side effect apparently).

Gah. Options for contraception very limited - I'm shockingly bad at remembering to take the pill (I've tried everything to try and remember), the jabs are same as implant and I don't want a coil because of scarring, endometriosis and adhesions I already have. I don't want to risk messing it up even more Sad

Sorry for self-indulgent whinge post Sad

Some lesser known variations might work for you misree : not the firat ones people reach for but may work for you? If any sound interesting go to your local family planning clinic rather than your GP who might not be as familiar with these....

NuvaRing. It's like the combined contraceptive pill (so NOT like the injections), but in the form of a runbee ring about 5cm in diameter that you insert like a tampon once a week. Used a lot in France, apparently it's quite comfortable and you have three weeks of a ring in then one week without to get a withdrawl bleed.

Combined pill in patch form: again appllied once weekly. Three weeks of a patch then one week off. If you're able to have the combined pill, don't want a Ring, but have forgetting problems the patch could be ideal.

Diaphragm or Cap. Not the most reliable method but is a good barrier alternative to condoms if you are able to get uaed to it with a bit of practice: it's a bit of an art to put em in and they have to be used every time in advance of sex with spermicidal foam, and left in for 6 hours afterwards. If you go for one of these the clinic witl fit it for you and train you how to use it.

Condoms: an oldie but a goodie. femidom: sex inna duffle bag compared to a condom, but it takes all sorts.....

Does any of those sounds possible?

Similar here Hawthers. Not gone more than an hour and a half without waking up crying since I got him down at 9. I miss sleep!

I'm on the every 2 hours bus too. We've had to return to cuddling to sleep which I KNOW is a bad idea, but otherwise he cries for a couple of hours, as evidenced last night. I just don't know what to do.

Also, we are having grobag problems. He's in a mothercare one and he's continually pulling his legs up and shoving them down whilst refusing to sleep. Often he can undo the shoulder poppers. He's really long which I don't think helps (his feet are about an inch off the bottom).

I had a look at my 6-18 month (official) grobags today and they say they can't be used until he's 18lb. He's only 15lb, so a fair way to go. So what could I do? I'm sure I've seen some grobags with legs for older children in the back of a magazine, but frantic googling to see if there is anything suitable in size has thrown up no results. I can't try blankets as I don't have any, and I would be too scared as I imagine he would do the same but could flip them over his head.

Sorry mimsy don't know what you can do.

Up again he's not even that hungry. So tired.

Arg, three feeds in 4 hours- are they swapping notes!'!!
This had better be a growth spurt and over with soon...

mimsy I believe the safety notice is actually to dobeith torso size as you don't want baby to be able to get their head wedged if the wriggle down into thr bag while asleep (ie strangulation risk). Tye makers of the bag will have worked out a weight Where Joe Average Baby will achieve a good fit in the vest part of the bag. So its probably worth trying on the next size up: if it fits well and theres mo wiggle room with the next/shoulders you may decide its ok but if its loose or you're not sure then wait. An alternative is to change style/brand of bag: DS has a zip grobag he can't squeeze into the 0-6, but his popper at shoulders grobag still fits, and so does his slumbersac and his john lewis popper one. (NCT secondhand sales/ebay often sell them for a few quid).

Thanks aethel - will try tomorrow. Have a feeling he will be too narrow still though as he's a slim long thing.

hawthers - yep, I'm in the middle of a "why are you even bothering?" feed too. Sigh.

Managed all of 3 hours between feees. Am a broken woman.

Fortunately still at mil's and there are two sets of cousins within easy access si DS1 is totally entertained. Mind you I'm dreading Monday with just boring old me to occupy little DS1. Going to be tough I think.

If its to do with neck / torso size and wiggling down surely you could just sew up a bit of the neck and arm holes so they are smaller and so less chance of wriggling down. Would that work?

Morning Ladies

Sorry to see some of you are still having trouble at night.

Sky slept all night, 8-6 waking with a bit of wind at 1:15 but was sorted and back asleep by 1:30.

My whole body aches from painting my nan's living room yesterday. 1 wall still needs a 2nd coat but to achey do to today so chill out at home for us. Maybe a nap at lunchtime if I can persuade Sky lol!
