Ooh, that's a low blow DSM, add a to the pile!

What's the new thread title then? Can someone please start and link to it?

I am now about to clear up the day's carnage. dD1 is out on an Exciting Adventure With Rainbows (jubilee bonfire) and DD2 is sleeping in the spare room "because she wants to try it". dS had six little spOons of parsnip and sweet potato puree and promptly conked out after his next feed. Turbo tidy here I come....

Why are men such fuckwits? Angry

DP has complained and got in a mood with me as he feels he's had to do all the housework this week!

I don't use the mobile site. I use safari and access the normal one. Reduces my desire to swear and defenestrate the tech:o

Oh yeah, what's with all the adverts down the bottom of the mobile "talk" threads? I do not want to be told that I'm "lovin' it", be flogged baby rice, timeshares in Majorca, recruited to work in covert ops, or whatever else they are trying to turn a profit from....

Whoa misree, that's awful! Healing thoughts to you and yours.

And the toys of choice today are a vTech "pop up surprise ball" (50p from car boot sale) plus the crinkly wrapping that the quavers came in. Who said kids are expensive?

Glad BOi is okay.

MissRee OMG! Hope your FIL is okay? Make sure DH rests his back.

Well I've been around a friends for the morning. She looked after Sky whilst I went to work for my meeting. Discuss a few things which was good.

Melting in the sun tho. Sky is def on the move, every time I look down at her she's rolled over a trying to eat carpet or her play gym!

It's all going off here. My Dads op is next Wednesday, DP's back has gone as well now and FIL has had a heart attack so Freya is with the other GPs and we're at the hospital Sad

+1-ing the excellent advice from others kitty Beating yourself up is Not Allowed(tm)

Today I have bought shorts for the boychild and one of those ridiculous play/romper suit thingies for the girlspawn. There is a day out happening in Sunday so I thought they ought to be able to have their legs out:o

Rightio, all this talk of bouncing babes makes me want to go and collect BOi even more, after this morning's call from the nursery. I think I'll leave now and see the damage give him some cuddles.
I hope he's OK. :(

Kitty try not to be to hard on yourself. I know that it must feel awful but babies are wiggly and i'm betting it will happen to all of us at one point or another. Sounds like he's doing ok though, I think it takes growns ups longer than the babies to recover when bumps happen.

DS just had a 2 hour nap :o he hardly ever sleeps longer than half an hour at a time in the day. So i'm feeling very organised as i've managed to get so much done.

All this talk of haircuts made me realise I haven't had mine done since a month before DS was born, so thought I better make an appointment!

Thanks. I've had another little self indulgent cry and text to see how he is this morning. He's ok, but my poor SIL hardly slept (and kept waking him to make sure he was ok!)

I know this stuff happens, and this also sounds awful, but I really wish I had dropped DS NOT DNephew.

I've just text my Mum (she was up in Bolton last night on a works thing) so am waiting for the phone to ring....although I would hope that she'd ring my brother first....

Oh kitty poor you and your nephew. Accusers happen and as he's been checked by a and e I'm sure he'll be fine. Fwiw my mum dropped my brother down the stairs and he is just fine!

oh kitty how awful! Poor you. I can't imagine how you must have felt. Accidents happen. They know accidents happen and it could happen to anyone. Luckily for everyone your nephew is fine. You poor thing. You have to forgive yourself.
And when he's 21 and handsome, and graduating from uni, and embarking on a fabulous career, you will all laugh about the time when Auntie dropped him on his head (that will be added) when he was 9 weeks old.
You did nothing wrong.
Shit happens.

Morning all! Congrats on the firsts YBR. Hurrah for Hawther's DH and a night of rest. Pompoms for Octoboy!
We had our customary 2 wake ups after his late night feed. But that's OK now.
I took him to nursery, changed his nappy, said goodbye. Just had a phone call, "he's fallen over on a toy and marked his face, but he's absolutely fine now and happy playing with the same toy"... I just want to go and get him and take him home please. :( But no, I will mum-up. This is the first of many to come, so I shall remain at work. All will be well.
My friend in France had sent me lots of cute summer clothes - shorts, tshirts, shortie dungarees, ... unfortunately most are 3-6 months and are a bit on the small side, so I'm going to have to go shopping. Most are from Asda or Next, but as they were delivered from France and are second hand, that makes them Vintage French Childrenswear - n'est-ce pas?

Me, me, me post to follow....

Worst day EVER yesterday....went to SIL's to prep for evening meal, we're having a lovely afternoon with Seb asleep in his pushchair in the shade in the garden and Nephew (9 weeks) asleep on a blanket on the lounge floor so we could see both from the kitchen.

Moved the boys to the playmat where they were very cute and looked like they were holding hands....fast forward 30 mins and I managed TO DROP MY NEPHEW.

Feel like the worst mother/aunt in the word. Queue screaming child with lump on head, screaming child who is being ignored, me crying with guilt and shame, SIL crying with (I would imagine) worry and fury.

Sad

My poor brother got home from a day of hell at work to this scene about 15 mins later. They went off to a&e, were seen and back home within 50 mins and all ok.

They were both lovely to me, but wouldn't you just be bloody furious? What an idiot.
