And counting! Do you have an i-phone? You can get a free wedding countdown app, just plug in the date and time, and you'll get the countdown to the second. It carries on working after too, so I can tell you that I've been married for 1 year, 186 days, 20 hours, 49 mins, 52, 53, 54 seconds...

AnAirOfHope · 24/05/2012 12:00

We did go to creative kidz but i have done four loads of washing and dismantled the chest in airs room and done a tip run.

Next:
Feed air
take.to nursary
get hope weighed
give back breastpump
go food shopping
sort clothes for charity shop
dh going to meadwohell to get a new phone so i will have to put up with him 'showing' me how good it all night!

AnAirOfHope · 24/05/2012 12:01

We didnt go to kidz - should of spellcheck

KateM77 · 24/05/2012 12:15

I haven't had a chance to catch up on the thread since last night, so apologies if I haven't commented on something I should have, and now need to post and run too, but had to tell you a small miracle has just occurred:

DS took 1.5oz of Aptamil from his bottle Shock

Days of pullling silly sucking faces worked. He copied me and actually sucked on the bottle Grin. Lets hope it continues and the quantities increase!

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 24/05/2012 12:36

Oi I do have an I-phone. Which app do you use?

Kate Yay for DS!

OiMissus · 24/05/2012 13:27

Hurrah for bottle success!
can't find what it's called. I searched for wedding countdown... I think. It has a pic of a swan, but I betthere are better apps. :)

BJR · 24/05/2012 13:29

DSM 11 weeks, thats very exciting :o

We are currently pottering indoors as its cooler, but will be out in the garden when it's a bit shadier. Playing with bubbles went down well yesterday, DS was very impressed that he could pop them!

Cherry DS has been wearing short dungarees or vests mostly. If he's comfy in just a vest then i'm happy with him wearing that.

MissRee · 24/05/2012 13:30

Ready for the sunshine!

MissRee that is a very cute photo :)

MissRee · 24/05/2012 14:05

I think everyone should post pics of their summer babies Grin

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 24/05/2012 14:13

MissRee So cute Smile

I've got one posted on FB.

BJR it's exciting but still lots to do.

HoneyLovesCake · 24/05/2012 14:17

OMG MissRee she looks so grown up! Adorable too :)

Thanks for the link aethel I actually hadn't considered a proper backpack carrier, just ruck carries with my woven sling but as the weather gets hotter I definitely like the idea of the air gap between him & my back [sweaty emoticon]..off to check ebay as I've just seen the retail price >_<

And thanks for the the info about light clothing being preferable to sunscreen before 6 months; is this because of the chemicals? I got DS a supposedly natural spf 45 Kids Sunblock from JASON. It smells divine & isn't too thick; wasn't as pricey as my usual Piz Buin either.

My plan was to put DS upstairs for his morning nap & then go sunbathe in the garden but 2.5 hrs later I woke up beside him when he started snuffling for another feed Blush Oh well, he didn't have a very good night so I guess I needed the extra sleep; just wish I'd managed to get a tan with my nap :( He's still sleeping but once he wakes I think I'll walk down to the local garden centre for a late lunch in the cafe :) & maybe a slice of cake Grin

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 24/05/2012 14:21

Oi I've downloaded an app. It's officially 2months, 25days, 1hr & 10 mins till I we get married Grin

hawthers · 24/05/2012 14:44

MissRee · 24/05/2012 14:44

I'm not on the Facebook page Sad

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 24/05/2012 15:28

MissRee pm Easilyboard and she can add you to the FB group Smile

OiMissus · 24/05/2012 15:30

missree - she's gorgeous, and I'm loving the jelly shoes!
Aw! It's really not fair having to work in this weather when I should be playing with my little man in the sun! I hated leaving him this morning more than ever. So I'll have to wait til weekend to take a sunny pic. :(
And I also miss the cafes and cakes of maternity leave. :( :( :(

The glamour:

  1. Being in work in a karen millen dress and heels (I had visitors, I'm not always well turned out.
  2. The dress NOT having any dribble or sick on it.

The reality:
I'll go get a drink, close my blinds, and get out my pump to express - to feel like a dairy cow in a k millen dress!

CherryBlossom27 · 24/05/2012 15:38

Cool, I think I'll have to invest in some shorts for DS!

We're cooling off in the garden at the moment...so glad we have a garden, our old flat used to be sweltering in this weather and there was no park nearby!

On my phone so I can't name check v.well, but agree a hair cut is a great idea to feel better! I've not had a hair cut for a year now and very fed up of long hair so I'm getting a hair cut next weekend :)

Kate - that's great news the bottle is being accepted now!

Can't think what else I was going to say! Agh!

MissRee · 24/05/2012 15:38

I'm not searchable on fbook, DSM, and nowhere near a laptop to sort it Grin

hawthers · 24/05/2012 15:46

missree I've also added a photo to my profile if you can view that with your phone

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 24/05/2012 16:04

Ahh well when you get near a laptop get it sorted Grin

We have a baby who can roll on to her front and then back onto her back Smile

OiMissus · 24/05/2012 16:10

Hawthers love the stripey playsuit. Where's it from?
BOi was playing out yesterday in this, (Pic of playsuit, not of BOi.)

scatocrat · 24/05/2012 16:27

Plu's baby here. Mummy forgot to namechange before leaving for Serbia. We're going to be stuck here a bit longer than expected, and the smartphone doesn't work except in a wifi hotspot. We hope you're all well!

hawthers · 24/05/2012 16:28

Playsuit from sainsburys a couple of years ago bought out of desperation due to a change in weather. Think more are needed. Seem to remember mothercare had a cute one.

OiMissus · 24/05/2012 16:39

I'll have to shop around. The tesco boys range just aint doing it for me this season.
pluscat what are you doing in Serbia?
dsm well done to Diddydsm! But beware, once they start, there's no stopping 'em.
I need to leave now and go and play with my baby... 7 minutes to go. I'll log out slowly... I never did get around to pumping earlier, got caught coming back from the kitchen with my drink and then didn't get free. I'll have to force feed him as soon as I get to mum's so I don't burst!
