Hello everyone, you probably don't remember me!! Dropped off when I went back to work in September last year really, but now it's the summer hols (I'm a teacher) and I suddenly had time to think, I wonder how all the other April 2011 ladies and babies are getting on?! Hope no-one minds me tagging along again. DS is utterly gorgeous and totally infuriating all at the same time, haven't read the thread through yet but imagining I'm not alone........Grin

Kittycatcat · 26/07/2012 09:42

Hi daisy welcome back. I hear ya!! I started maternity leave today. Ds2 due in sept Grin.

Daisy17 · 26/07/2012 09:49

Kitty you are a legend and a braver woman than me......congrats! DP and I are just so conflicted about whether to have another. Every now and again we have a long conversation about it, during which we get really excited about the possibility of it and then terrified about the reality of it, and end up firmly back on the fence. Guess there have already been many discussions on this theme on the thread already but if anyone would like to chip in for me I'd be most grateful. I love the idea of being a family of 4 later on but am terrified of going through the whole sleep deprived baby stage again, esp as I am an anxious sort who has not found it easy first time round.....

Kittycatcat · 26/07/2012 09:52

I go from scared to excited. It's going to be hard but I'm 37 next month and wanted them close together for that reason, aswell as it all being fresh still. S is a pretty good sleeper most of the time (unless teething or ill) which should help with the baby.

Daisy17 · 26/07/2012 09:55

I'm only 5 months younger, Kitty, so the pressure feels on to make a decision fairly soon..... we'd probably start TTC when DS is 2.....

Glaikit · 26/07/2012 09:55

I just had the most disturbing dream. Being told I was 6 months pregnant Nd I didn't know, there were kicks and everything. I a rurally woke up and felt pregnant. Yikes! Hope it's not a premonition!

Daisy17 · 26/07/2012 10:13

Ooh, Glaikit, scary! Have just been reading earlier on the thread and it seems that you are too are trying to decide re number two. What are your current thoughts?

Glaikit · 26/07/2012 10:32

It's a yes, just a case of when I think. But I'm just getting back into the swing of things at work, and having 2 in childcare would wipe out my salary completely, so it's looking like once B is in school, because I don't want to give up work. It's the thing that keeps me sane!! I'm 31 next month, so I would like to be at least ttc before I'm 35. My GP says I have to be ready to come of the ADs before ttc too, so it's a watch and wait scenario.

Daisy17 · 26/07/2012 10:41

Pretty much snap re work and childcare! But don't think we could wait till DS at school because I am more ancient than you, and also DP not keen on bigger age gap. Sorry to hear about the need for ADs though glad they are obviously helping ..... have just been to GP on Monday for the first time to discuss my anxiety, wish I'd gone sooner, she was so lovely and is setting up some CBT sessions for me, appears to be free on the NHS here which is amazing. It's my tendency to anxiety that puts me off having two, or at least two close together. So am hoping that the CBT helps and makes me feel more able to cope with things. I have zero problem with DS being an only for his sake but I think I might regret not going for number two in the long run. Hmmmmmm.

Starshaped · 26/07/2012 13:02

I'm definitely feeling the urge for number 2. DD is a good sleeper now and I've managed to conveniently forget all the millions of awful nights we had last year...Hmm I keep telling myself it wouldn't be such shock second time round!

Anyway, I restarted the pill when I stopped BF a couple of months ago and have got a six month supply in my drawer. We've more or less agreed that we'll start TTC when the stash runs out. Eeek!

Kittycatcat · 29/07/2012 08:25

Eugh. On my way to highgate for a bump photo shoot. Girl I work with has done a course and I'm her ginea pig. Will be nice to have some pics but not enthralled by the 1.5 hour journey each way and bump is sore today. Is a sore bump normal? I'm carrying differently (correctly) this time. Concerned it could be scar?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 29/07/2012 11:37

Is the pain right on your scar rather than your bump?

I've had sore bump before. It felt heavy and tender, but it would go as soon as it appeared, and I never knew what caused it. If you are worried and start to feel unwell, then call a MW. But I am sure it's all fine. Enjoy being a ginea pig Smile

We are off out to a recreated Anglo Saxon village today. It's very close to us and there is lots of safe outside space for the boys to run around.

The boys interaction has stepped up recently. They are just so physical with each other. I am a constant referee and spend a lot of my time feeling frazzled. For the most part I let them get on with it and ignore the whinges and complaints, but gawd it's tiring.

In consequence I am organising lots of meet ups with friends to wear them out. By the time we return home for dinner we are all knackered and I have a glazed over look, much like this Confused

Dh had a night out together last night at Jamie's Italian in Cambridge. The food was god, but the cocktails were better Grin

Daisy17 · 29/07/2012 13:02

I definitely had sore bump, often towards the top, I always put it down to all the stretching.....

Kittycatcat · 29/07/2012 17:12

Sore bump wore off so just stretching I think. It def comes and goes.

I'm seeing my future in your post ilike!! We did Jamie's in Nottingham last year. Yum.

JKSLtd · 29/07/2012 19:34

DD is the one getting physical here! She wrestles her brothers to the floor and whacks them if she gets cross about something. But mostly she wants cuddles, so as long as the boys are in the same mood it's a big love-fest Grin

Still planning on number 4 here, a due date not before next Sept (2013) is my aim, so enjoying the physical freedom of not being pg or bf at the mo.

Went up to London to see some beach volleyball (+ beer) with my brother, went for cocktails, then dinner + wine after, then the late train home. Was very liberating :)

May stay over at his soon for a truly kid-free time.

Sure i had sore bump at times each time, though i was more nervous about it with DD as i'd had a c-s with ds2, but it was always fine.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 29/07/2012 21:50

It's very cute when they cuddle isn't it? See Kitty, it's not all hard work Grin

No. 4?! I salute you JKS Smile beach volleyball, cocktails, wine and the late train home sounds fab.

Glad to hear the bump is better kitty.

I forgot to mention about a talking point last night at the restaurant. The table behind us were mostly transvestites. Some looked great, others looked ummmm, interesting. One guy in particular had fabulous hair, clothes and shoes. But still walked like a bloke and held his handbag down beside him like it was a toolbox Grin

We went along to the Anglo Saxon village. It was mostly fab, and then it pee'd down Hmm Damn bloody weather. Ds2 had a go at archery and loved it. We (stupidly) bought him a toy bow and arrow and he has been terrorising his brother ever since. The arrows have been hidden Grin

TeamGlaikitBritain · 29/07/2012 22:08

Aw, I want cuddly babies! Stop with the stories of cuteness, my ovaries are pinging :o

Dh is back to work tomorrow, I'm back on Tuesday! I'll be glad for the rest!! If it's nice tomorrow I'm going to take B to the model farm and let him tire himself out run around.

It's Bs last week with my wonderful CM. I'm feeling quite sad because he really loves her. We walked past her house the other day and he thought he was going in and started shouting and pointing :(. I know he is going to love her sisters just as much, but still, I'm gutted.

He is really vocal just now, constantly uhingand ehing and calling everyone daduh! And if we shush him he shushs back!!

Watching beach volleyball on tv just now. They must get sand in allsorts of places!!

JoEW · 30/07/2012 09:01

Morning all!

Hi Daisy, is that the Daisylulu of old? My reflux hell buddy?

We're still struggling with the notion of baby number two, though I am at work on four hours sleep so am firmly in the NO WAY camp today. We have a phase at the moment where C wakes up and nothing, nothing will get him back to sleep. We've just had the premolars through so I thought it might be that but throwing Calpol down doesn't help. He's fine if in bed with us but just wants to play. If we put him back in his bed he just screams. If anyone had told me I would still be sleep deprived 17 months in I might not have had baby number one!

I'm 39 next birthday, so am beginning to think that we might well be done with one, I'm also not sure I could face a pregnancy worrying about getting PE again.

How was the photoshoot Kitty?

ilike your posts always make me laugh. Love the toolbox comment. On a night out in Soho (many moons ago) I saw a transvestite with his 'bits' dangling below his mini skirt. Not a strong look.

Beach volley ball outing sounds fab, *JKS. We're off to the rowing on Wednesday. Grandparents not staying over though, I was hoping to wangle a night out. But, I have a day off on Thurs so am going to put C into nursery and spend the morning shopping!

Shame on CM, Fizz. When we moved nursery it took C a while to adjust so bear with it.

Hope everyone has a good week. x

MrsWajs · 30/07/2012 16:24

Sorry been a bit awol again, had my friends wedding on Saturday where R and I were flowergirl/bridesmaids! Was great but I'm now feeling rubbish.
Don't know if it was the bug from 2 weeks ago or something else but I had the runs on Saturday night when we got home and since then have felt really light headed/dizzy and just not myself :( Got Drs appointment tomorrow so will wait and see what they say. Could be a side effect of ADs but don't see why I would have been fine for so long and only get it now?

Re: ttc number 2, we are now in the yes camp but not until after Christmas and New Year. Still waiting for our house to sell and can't go anywhere bigger until that's done so technically can't have anymore LOs until we have a bigger house!!

Kittycatcat · 31/07/2012 07:45

Ooo lots of people gearing up for no 2 /4. Yay.

Shoot was good. Long day tho. Left here at 8 got home at 6. Outdoor dress pics in the grass and trees at Hampstead Heath. Dress and undie pics at her house. Haven't seen them yet. Will post on here when I get them and let you know.

Kittycatcat · 31/07/2012 07:46

Hope ur feeling better mrsw

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 31/07/2012 09:16

Hope you are feeling better MrsW.

Glad the pics went well Kitty Smile

We took the boys here yesterday We had a great time, but the rain later on in the afternoon was a bummer. They both had filthy clothes and scrapped legs, so I would say that it was a success Grin

I like the story of the transvestite with his ball bag dangling below his skirt Grin

No more babies here. Dh has had the date through for his procedure. You remember? The one we're not allowed to talk about Hmm Grin

Kittycatcat · 31/07/2012 11:05

Ooooooo ilike

UnderwaterBasketWeaving · 31/07/2012 12:40

Hope you're feeling better MrsW.

Photos sound lovely, kitty. I always imagined I'd have loads of bump pics, but then I felt so ropey the whole time photos were the last thing I wanted! Maybe professional help would have been a good idea!

Just been to bounce & rhyme with F. He's so embarrassingly enthusiastic! He goes every week with the cm, so knows the routine and people.far better than I do. So was up, ooh-ing and aah-ing and doing all the actions and sounds while all the other children sat nicely on their mothers laps. And I sat there like a lemon, not knowing the words an without a child to hide behind!

Then, when it finished, he made a break for the automatic door, I got trapped behind several tottering babies so he had to be grabbed by random (wonderful) library visitors.

Of course, then it's the anti-carrier tantrum just to make sure everyone's noticed us.

On the way home, past lots of stationary traffic, he waves enthusiastically at EVERYONE! Amazingly, loads of people waved back.

It's very endearing, and I'm glad he's full of confidence. But I'm more used to avoiding attention.

chillikat · 31/07/2012 13:56

I've had an unexpected morning off work. Sadly because M was throwing up in the night :( so we didn't send her to nursery. She threw up the BF I gave her though at 4am, then again about 7am. Gave her cereal for breakfast as normal and she didn't eat much but it stayed down, same with lunch and she's been full of beans all morning. Thankfully having her nap now, then my parents will be arriving in an hour or so so they can entertain her for a bit. I just hope DH and I don't get it, though we don't try and put our hands down the toilet on a regular basis Hmm

Hope you're feeling better MrsW

UBW F sounds entertaining and great fun - I imagine he has a huge smile on his face most of the time too.

No news on the moving house front :( not one viewing of our house yet, though it is summer, it's only been 2 weeks and we're the top of the price range round here.
