Thought this title was appropriate given that (hopefully) things will be looking up for everyone!

Hello to all - I'm always typing with one hand & ds is bf or chewing his chewy toys!

I stood on my scales this morning (before brekkie) & was 64.6 (yikes!) Have cut out biscuits but need to do more exercise for flab control.

An Alice who sleeps through Envy Grin

I am a very tired mummy.

Alice is enjoying eating food - I am combining mush and finger food (she found pear a bit frustrating but was enjoying carrot today. Also liking banana).

And the nappies are proving most interesting Grin.

PiccadillyCircus · 14/03/2006 12:05

Oh as far as weight goes I think I am about 9.5 stone. I started somewhere between 8 and 8.5 (I think 8.5 was better for me though). Seeing as I ended up over 12 stone before Alice was born I'm not too worried (yet).

wabbitintheheadlamps · 14/03/2006 12:24

Helloooo

Beatie - C doesn't have a time for napping during the day either but since he's been rolling around more will entertain himself of an afternoon and then zonk out where he's lying, can utterly understand Alice not getting time on the floor with dd1 zipping around, Noop only got moments on the floor in the bathroom at this stage as we had sooooo many furry critters in the house at the time - the floor never seemed to be a clean enough place for a baby Blush

Milward - I'm going to weigh myself this afternoon I'll post results later, I'll be dressed but without shoes Smile Oh and I hope I'll have had lunch too Grin

Raining here... I've got an extension for this essay as it's a humdinger of 3000 words - baby crying... got to go! x

wabbitintheheadlamps · 14/03/2006 12:48

PC - sorry didn't see your posts there! C's nappies are far far better now he's having some solids and formula... poor little mite was so runny for weeks and weeks and weeks, think this is helping the weight gain too

I started at 8.5 stone too - not going away as quickly as I'd like Envy Need to get out and walk and perhaps start running again too when my back's completely better - which it is getting Smile

bubbles2904 · 14/03/2006 14:36

Hi all,
WABBIT, my sister didn't have to change her shifts, she's done it because she says no one will look after her dd, but i have never said no, i had her to stay overnight twice a week until she was almost 2, she's told me today that it will be from monday, so basically i'm screwed!!! There's no-one else to mind her, as my mum works the same hours as me and mil is ill, and can't pick her up by herself, so it looks like half of my wage every month is going to be spent on childcare. i don't think we can even get help with the cost but we are looking into it at the moment.
SR, theres a thread i started on the relationships board called am i being silly, that will explain the whole green eyed monster comment, and well done on your weight loss, forgot to mention it on saturday.
I miss you guys so much, i need internet at home again!!!!!

Rhumba · 14/03/2006 20:25

thanks for you support over the possibility of moving to Galsgow. It's something we've been thinking about for ages although I'd rather move to Edinburgh. We'd be near both sets of grandparents and DH's family so would be good for the kids to spend more time with them. Don't think we'd get much help with childcare but would have babysitters which is something. Also wouldbe good to be a bit nearer as the get older.

Simplyred- good luck with the new business, sounds like you've got a good base to start with

Beatie - DS fought his naps til he was about 6 months and then he got more active. Whilst I'm v jealous at her good sleeps during the night I know how frustrating it is when they won't nap and you get no sympathy as they're Ok at night!!

PC - tired here too.

Simplyred · 14/03/2006 21:20

hello all.

Had a bad day.

DS's school organised a trip to the theatre today - ds said he did not want to go so I did not get him a ticket, then he has a wobbly as the kids were getting on the coach. I feel like a meany Mum - Plus had a run in with a very nasty editor at the Beds on Sunday who will only run a story about my Slimming World class if there is a murder there (her words) - the press ahhh so cheery!

wabbitintheheadlamps · 14/03/2006 21:25

Hello back again!

Did Weigh in - am 65.5 kilo at 5'5" I'm a bit Grrrrr at this as it seems so heavy for me Sad

Friend at Bumps and Babies has said she'll help me train up to do the Run for Life... so I'm definitey going to start gently this week, I'm just about to go on the web site and suss it out Smile

Don't know why I'm keeping the weight on, I'm certainly not over eating Angry

Ohhhh and I've found NIKKINOO!!!! Smile Smile Smile she popped up in a breast and bottle thread and so I said Hi... hope she comes to join us back here.

Night night all xxx

PiccadillyCircus · 14/03/2006 21:25

Shock at the Beds on Sunday person. Although as I mentioned before it is not exactly the world's highest quality newspaper.

milward · 14/03/2006 21:26

best wishes to all xxx

wabbitintheheadlamps · 14/03/2006 21:36

Shock at that poxy editor SR - get your leaflets out to all the local bumps and babies groups... ask if you can go along and do a weeny presentation to mums... also toddler groups and don't forget leaving things on counters in Cafes and anywhere really where people gather to chat.

Not being bossy - just hope throwing ideas in helps Smile and fingers crossed for you x

Bubbles - So sorry to hear your sister's having a bit of a hissy fit about childcare issues, especially when it means you'll be working the same hours for less pay {{{hugs}}}

Rhumba - Yes Edinburgh's lovely too, I've got friends in Morningside and just love going to stop with them Smile Such a lovely area. The being close to ageing parents can be a double edged sword though, I ended up taking end of year exams with an immobile 90yo dad and mad mother with vertigo having to be cared for at my house! I'd do it all again because they're my parents but Urggggh Mums ability to time things to maximum effect is awesome!!!

Right... am going now! Nighty night (again!)

Nikkinoo · 15/03/2006 07:04

hello all Sept Mums.

Hope the babies are all lovely and being good and sleeping the night away. Charlotte most certainly is not.

Hey Wabbit, youwill have to tell me your circumstances re. the you know what. I am intrigued as you say it was because of RL. Definately missed you too x, cant wait to hear all about your little angel, had a quick look through and he is rolling.

Chalrlotte is static. i am happy with that, the longer she is in one place the better Wink

Will come back later on today I am going to start brekkies now x

Simplyred · 15/03/2006 12:28

Helloooooooo

Rachels trying to crawl whilst she drawls! She can roll and sits up - but not for long before she flops - she is so cute Grin She sleeps pretty well at night - but caterpillers up her cot - and I find her caught at the top!

wabbitintheheadlamps · 15/03/2006 12:36

Wow early post Nikkinoo - yup he's very active, and is at the moment enjoying playing on his tummy and waiting for lunch Smile

Eeerrrm - the reason I've changed my name is that the previous one links me to real life and I've ended up in a situation where I don't want another party finding out I post here and catching up with how I'm feeling....

I started a thread afew weeks ago about what's been happening - It's a long story though so settle yourself with a cuppa and Charlotte happily feeding! I'll find a link to it and post it for you

How lovely your back! It was like finding treasure spotting you on the other thread! Smile

wabbitintheheadlamps · 15/03/2006 12:39

Found it again \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=7&threadid=146853&stamp=060311130228\here}

Smile at Rachels catterpillaring!

Hope all are well xx

Nikkinoo · 15/03/2006 13:04

Wabbit Sad You are an amazing woman.

I have always felt that you were so warm and lovely from your posts.

Must keep on here to keep in contact wi you.

House is mad kids are exploiting my absorption in p.c so will go for now

huge hugs babe xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

wabbitintheheadlamps · 15/03/2006 13:23

Thankyou! - I'm finding this last bit with the baby the hardest bit to cope with, tearful lately but trying to stay busy.

I was on the Race for life web site last night and I'm definitely going to train up for it - the race I want to enter is not until July 23rd so I should be able to complete the Intermediate training plan for then and go for a reasonable pace... Getting out running again will get the endorphins(have I got that right?) raised and help my baby wobble complex too!!!

Can you CAT me? I've not signed up for it yet - mind you I keep meaning to e-mail Beatie and don't get round to it... don't want to burden anyone

Nikkinoo · 15/03/2006 13:33

Will CAT you definately blimey have loads to tell you.

/by the way was going to do race for life last year but for obvious resons never did

I remember roughly where you lived think its not too far from me. Anyway will cat u later when its less crazy at my end.

Nikki x

PiccadillyCircus · 15/03/2006 17:12

milward · 15/03/2006 20:18

Hello All - great day - in the garden with the kids. I did some gardening! - a big job awaits me here & dds played cutting the grass with scissors! & ds enoyed looking about. No school wednesday afternoon so loads of time to play!

wabbitintheheadlamps · 15/03/2006 22:07

Sounds lovely Milward - yes we've had sunshine here too, no industrious use of the rays though I'm afraid, just a wander through the park this afternoon Smile

Nighty night x

wabbitintheheadlamps · 15/03/2006 22:08
