blizy I've just finished the last of the Hunger games books, hope you enjoy the film :)

wigglesrock · 20/04/2012 20:31

blizy Mr W saw the Hunger Games when he was away and loved it.

debka was book 3 good? I've read the first two and really enjoyed them

debka · 20/04/2012 20:33

It was brilliant, wiggles, maybe the best of the 3. Might have to twist DH's arm into taking me (he hates the cinema, weirdo)

wigglesrock · 20/04/2012 20:37

Great debka off to Kindle buy and pray for a quiet night in work tomorrow night Blush

ledkr · 20/04/2012 22:55

Deb are you still sw? I may switch to red days next week this is no good for me and i dont even think ive lost weight.

blizy · 20/04/2012 22:58

A bit of friendly advice girls, do not, I repeat do not watch the hunger games. 2 hours of my life I will never get back. It was thee worst film I have seen. Shock

Emski76 · 21/04/2012 07:07

Haha to Ledkrs comment about Debs slippers!!

And pooh to Debs stinky bottom. I find that doing some yoga moves helps release trapped wind, or lying on my left hand side. Yep, I'm a windy girl, lucky dh.

Blizy, dh liked the Hunger Games but I think he prefers the books. He reading the second book at the moment.

Welcome back Reastie, loved the fb pic of Alice with the gnomes!

I couldn't resist popping to Matalan yesterday afternoon and buying Ben some school trousers and polo shirts! He tried them on after his bath and I cried! My baby's growing up!

Busy day today. Bens back at football and drama, Rabbit has to go to the vets and I have a big food shop to do......wow, reading that back my life just sounds so exciting!

debka · 21/04/2012 08:49

They're not that bad, ledkr, here they are.

emski I was up till midnight with a tummy upset in the end :( then the girls were up at 6.10, wtf was that about? Now S is refusing her morning sleep and Imy is nag nag nagging to go swimming because I foolishly told her we'd be going later. Sigh. It's going to be a long day...

emski aaaahhhh to Ben in school uniform bet he grows out of it before September Grin

ILovePonyo · 21/04/2012 09:00

Hi all, just a quick one, I found out last night my dad died yesterday. Am feeling quite numb, he was 66 so not old, we don't know much (he and my mum divorced, he lived with the woman he left her for who me and my sis don't speak to, never met her etc) Just know she found him in bed yesterday so I hope he wasn't in any pain.
He loved anya so much, he was really proud of her and I just feel so sad she won't see him again.
I'll prob be lurking for a bit.

debka · 21/04/2012 09:40

ponyo I'm so sorry :( That is such sad news. Hope your DP is around to look after you especially today. Much love and hugs xxxx

RobinSparkles · 21/04/2012 13:12

Oh Ponyo, I'm so so sorry! What an awful shock for you. I'm glad he got to meet Anya and you'll be able to tell her, when she's older, how proud her grandad was of her, and how much he loved her.

Take care. Give A a huge cuddle.

Lots of (((hugs))) from us.

ILovePonyo · 21/04/2012 14:36

Thank you all for being so lovely, it means a lot.
Ledkr is right, didn't speak to ow, it's a bit of a weird situation (like most families!) so am not quite sure how the funeral is going to work. So not really thinking about it right now. It's like he had 2 seperate lives, me and my sis and then ow and her family, he never asked us to meet her and we never wanted to. I know her mum died recently too so do feel a bit sorry for her.
My mum is coming to stay tonight, she was going to anyway but I'm glad she is now.

Please don't stop posting today, I want to hear what the babies and Alfie cat are doing! A has been a little star today, very cute and babbling away non stop Smile
We called my dad grandpops, he used to come visit every 2weeks and we'd take A out, he always pushed her and chatted away to her (ignoring me Grin) if we took her out of the pram out and about he'd hold her and just looked so proud showing her off Smile anyway I just keep thinking about how he won't see her grow up now.

Thanks again ladies, I mean it x x x

blizy · 21/04/2012 17:36

Ponyo- I'm glad your mum is staying with you. Your dad sounded like he was so proud and in love with Anya. He won't see her grow up but I'm sure he will always be watching over her and you . Xxx

ledkr · 21/04/2012 17:40

Ponyo its amad suggestion but could you bear to contact his dp?
My Mum didnt let us have contact with my dads ow but when i was an dult and in a horrendous violent relationship she was the one who stepped in and helped me and i love her dearly.

Also as you know my dh went off with an ow and i hated her for years but when she had a baby i realised that Ella had a sister and i needed to facilitate contact. We still dont speak but i do send gift for the baby and also encourage Ella to be friends with her. It sometimes helps to let go a bit.

Also at least you can plan the funeral together and like it or not he loved her and she probably loved him back-just like you Smile

You can send me a punch on the nose emoticon if you like i dont mind, its just a thought.

Been to the farm park, very funny.Dills would rather steam all over the place than look at animals but she did feed a goat and then cried and got more dirty than one could ever imagine.

I asked dh to get her an ice cream and told him off when he bought her a cornetto but she then proceeded to eat the whole lot apart from the point which she chucked on the floor of the gift shop Grin

Ella of course bought the usual crap stone and cup with built in straw

RobinSparkles · 21/04/2012 17:57

Ledkr, L won't eat ice cream usually (weird child) I think she finds it too cold, although she did eat a bit of a choc ice before. after we had McDonald's She loves the cone bit though! Glad Dilly and Ella loved the farm.

Ponyo, do you have plenty of pics of your dad with Anya? I hope you can show her some day :) I'm sure he will see her grow up! He'll be watching her from somewhere.

I'm not really religious and don't believe in God as such but I do believe that people live on somewhere - I don't know whether that's helpful or not, but I do think that our spirit lives on somewhere else. I lost my Dad 15 years ago and I miss him everyday but I like to think that he can see us and he knows what we're up to. Infact, I've just reminded myself that I have never shown a picture of him to Isabel, even though she asks about him and talks about him a lot. I need to go and dig some out!

debka · 21/04/2012 20:04

Evening all,

Hope you and your mum are ok, I'm sure Anya has been a good distraction, ponyo.

ledkr zoo sounds fun, we went for Imy's birthday, Bean spent the whole time following the chickens round Grin

robin my weirdy daughter doesn't like chuffing CHOCOLATE, if I didn't distinctly remember her emerging from my fanjo I would certainly doubt her parentage Grin

Had a nice day today after a rather shaky start, went to the pool with my sis, mum and the girls, which was lovely, then a slightly less lovely lunch in the pool cafe (baked potato and boring old beans, only sw friendly thing on the menu).

BTW ledkr I'm still doing SW, lost 5st 4lb to date . I'm well into a size 20 now, starting to feel excitingly roomy! Low carb always sounds appealing at the outset but does get hard very quickly ime. Maybe give red days a go, I've heard you lose well doing just red days.
