ILovePonyo · 17/05/2012 22:06

Grin ledkr well done on The Talk, funny Ella bless her Smile

A has started staring when me or dp are in the shower looking both baffled and repulsed Confused

Grannyapple · 17/05/2012 22:15

Hello ladies!

american photo is back up...not sure what happened, as when I checked tonight the photo was gone Hmm

ledkr ha ha, and bless her!

blizy I wondered why your fb pic had you behind a school desk. ps I take it you live near moodiesburn? My BIL lives there & my best mate lives in Cumbernauld...

Off to bed...didnt make running tonight as I forgot to pack my trainers when I left for work this morning...need to do super long run at the w/e now...just as well as I'm getting a tad nervous now about not being able to complete the distance Hmm

Off work now for almost 1.5 wks - woo hoo!

wigglesrock · 17/05/2012 22:16

ponyo was she being a tad bold? Grin

ledkr Oh my God!!, you are soooooooooooooo embarrasing Grin

ledkr · 17/05/2012 22:20

Grin And i said VAGINA several times as she scowled at me.

Twas funny at work,we got told off for talking then a colleague kept on holding up a shush sign every time we spoke, she had this serious look on her face and we were in stitches,

blizy · 17/05/2012 22:42

Granny- I live in the burn too! How weird, such a small world! You need to pm me your bils name, I might know him! Oh I live in the new estate if that makes any sense to you? Grin

ILovePonyo · 17/05/2012 22:43

Wiggles if by bold you mean was she going rigid and flinging herself around screaming, then yes, she was being bold Grin

Granny enjoy your time off, well deserved!

Ledkr love the use of proper terms to embarrassed teens, VAGINA and PENIS how could you?! Poor A has this all to come haha.

wigglesrock · 17/05/2012 22:56

grannyapple yay I can see the photo, Ns lovely, am loving his shirt Envy

ponyo see I'd call that every day behaviour in our house Grin Had A in Tescos this morning, we had a very full trolley and she kept lifting stuff out. It was fine when she was after the kitchen roll (had the Muppets on it) but I tell you I was in a bit of a cold sweat when she lifted the tin of beans. Her throwing has become a bit of a problem. Had visions of being the subject of an AIBU thread re some lazy Mother allowing her child to decapitate fellow shoppers with a tin of 37p beans Blush

Grannyapple · 17/05/2012 22:59

Ah cheers wiggs...he looks a bit 'dour' in that photo, as we say up the road Grin

blizy have pm'd you!

Grannyapple · 18/05/2012 10:02

Well...tis a small world indeed...blizy knows my BIL Grin

americanexpat · 18/05/2012 11:02

Delia - Envy of your cleaner. I think people are overestimating how much housework I do - the house is always a tip, random things everywhere that L has carried about.

tad - things like that happen, don't feel too bad! I reversed into a low wall one time and was so embarrassed because there were loads of people watching! Luckily it was in St Louis so not entirely out of the ordinary. Grin

ledkr - LOL at Ella's reaction to The Talk.

When I collected L from nursery yesterday, he was racing around and ran straight into the side of a bookcase, bounced back onto the floor, then got straight back up and carried on running. I was PMSL, I'm sure the nursery staff were Hmm at me.

ledkr · 18/05/2012 16:15

Did anyone answer my poohing place question?D has done 2 today in the special place i may put a potty in there Grin

Took her swimming today as expected is f'ing mental, has a sife jacket thing anbd just throws herself in going under water etc so embarrassing, old ladies tutting as if i wasnt being carefull enough, not their fault they have never met a ginger lunatic befoe i suppose.

wigglesrock · 18/05/2012 19:10

ledkr Anna will poo anywhere Grin, but she does come and tell me when she's done it - she tries to pull her nappy off sometimes through her clothes Hmm. But Mr W had her at his Mums today and apparently she went into his mums bedroom (its a bungalow) and shouted for her Nana to come in. Anna had climbed on the bed and was lying on the bed wiggling her legs - his Mum always changes her in there. This one may be slightly blessed with the smarts after all!

She's been off her food for the past few days and a bit more unsettled at night - turns out she has 4 Shock teeth just through at the back.

debka · 18/05/2012 19:44

ledkr S tends to poo when she wakes up, so there's nearly always a nice little present for Mummy when I get her out of her cot Grin. Delilah and swimming was never going to be a calming experience!

4 teeth at once wiggs blimey! S did 3 once and I thought that was bad!

How are you 2 doing reastie and ponyo?

Bean's a lot better now, still coughing but productively, as it were Grin.

We went to a garden centre today, local one that we always thought was shut but no, it's open but it was weird, like a mausoleum or Hotel California or something. Looked really, really past its best, there was what looked like a corpse in a wheelchair in the entrance Shock, an old woman in a red jumper and no-one else, except perhaps the ghost of a gardener. Everything was light-faded and old, and there were fully grown trees growing out of gro-bags for sale outside, and pots and pots of overgrown grass and weeds lined up. It was quite spooky, and rather sad.

Grannyapple · 18/05/2012 22:37

Hi ladies...hope everyone is enjoying the start to their w/e...

Think we're having a great start to ours....N woke at qtr to 10 after puking all over his cot, & has a raging temp... Theres been a case of measles at his nursery so hoping to god its not that...tho he's had his mmr in march (booster due again in a couple of weeks).

tadjennyp · 18/05/2012 22:43

...such a lovely place, such a lovely place. Grin sounds scary deb! Glad Bean is getting better. Sammy has usually filled his nappy by the morning too, but otherwise he goes red in the face, looks a little disconcerted and grunts away! I have a Czech friend who reckons girls could be potty trained at 18 months, sounds like your girls are recognising when they go already!

Well, it's proving to be an expensive week. 3 and a half grand on the car and now the washer has packed up! And I cut my hand on a plastic washing basket! Grin It's not really my week. Shock

Hope you are all having a wonderful Friday evening.

tadjennyp · 18/05/2012 22:44

Sorry granny, x-posted. Really hope N doesn't get the measles. Fingers x'd for you.

Emski76 · 19/05/2012 07:15

Noah's quite a secret pooer, tho he does say poo poo after he's been. But the only sign of him going is that he stares in to space and his eyes water, we don't get any grunting!

Granny, hope N doesn't get measles. Shouldn't he be protected if he's had the MMR tho?

Well, Westlife were fab. I screamed so much that I had no voice yesterday!

Wiggles, 4 teeth at once! That's the way to do it A!!

Deb, glad Bean is better, the garden centre sounds well weird, glad you made it out alive!

We met friends at the park yesterday for a picnic. It was fab. Apart from when
Noah fell off the climbing frame! Luckily he held his head up so he didn't bump it, but was pretty scary! I could see it happening but just couldn't get there in time.

I'm on another bloody training day for Rainbows today, so dh has got the bots on his own again!

Have good days all

reastie · 19/05/2012 13:50

Morning all, just popped on to moan to say hello as I have a quick break mid DHs bday lunch with all the in law family - they are off out for a walk while I clean the kitchen. MIL announced at lunch she will be holding a jubilee afternoon tea for us on jubilee week end - the response was literally tumbleweed Wink . Apparently she's usually anti monarchist think she just wants an excuse to make us see her at another week end . Thought I was more than doing my duty today for at least a few weeks Confused

Will reply properly later. If anyone wants any leftover food I have loads left here - chocolate cake anyone Wink

debka · 19/05/2012 14:06

reastie don't tempt me Angry Grin

emski how scary, did he cry a lot?

Measles granny? [scared]. Did I tell you about when a little boy nicked S's drink at Rhyme Time, I said it was fine, so long as he didn't have measles or anything, his mum said, well he does have this rash... and pulled up his t shirt to reveal this livid scabby rash! Needless to say he got to keep the drink Grin

DH is grim atm, he has an idea to make and sell Garden Bars on ebay (he used to be a bar designer, so it does make some sense). Fine, except he just shouts at the girls and tries to talk to me all.the.time about timber and heights and costings when I have 2 little girls constantly pulling on me and demanding things. I ask him why it can't wait till evening when they're in bed- but apparently he has to switch off in the evening. That is after the 2 hour shouted convo with his dad of course Hmm Angry

Moan over. Gorgeous weather here, anyone else got sun and sitting on the sofa MNing whilst the DCs watch Peppa Pig? (speaking of which, S now recognises Peppa and gets all excited when she sees her, shouting PEPPA!! Blush)

reastie · 19/05/2012 16:54

Right, second attempt at writing a post.

granny measles? How scary. Thought if they'd had 1 MMR they'd be a bit protected though?

deb sounds like you are having lots of fascinating conversations Hmm with your DH at the min not . I have to ask, is there a bit market for garden bars as I've never heard of them before maybe I'm not posh enough ?

ems v scary re: the fall incident. I screamed in a scared freaked out manic way the other day when Alice nearly fell off the bed and I grabbed her by her feet Blush she thought it was hilarious

tad they say these things happen in 3's and you've had your 3 things now so you can rest easy Grin

ledkr I can just imagine Dilly being like that in the pool too Grin . I took Alice into waitrose the other day and she kept standing up in the trolley chair despite being strapped in. I had to do lots of teacher glares and serious voice to her which she thought was really funny and got loads of evil glares from old ladies. Next time maybe I should try asda Grin

Well, in laws have finally gone. Like seeing BIL/SIL it's just PIL that drive me insane. Still feeling really jittery after it though. I know you all say that me being jittery/not being able to let things go re: MIL was PND, but my DM (who saw MIL yesterday) said she feels exactly the same after talking to her - really manic and jittery after being in her company. SIL is the same. Honestly - it's not just me. I actually today wondered about just cutting off ties with her and telling DH I won't see her and he can take Alice to visit PIL if they want to see her as I won't go (which is what SIL does except very special occasions such as DHs bday lunch) but even if I wanted to it won't work as she looks after DD when I'm at work once a week. I feel like she is such a toxic influence though. She was teaching her other DGC today to cheat and lie Shock (possibly sounds worse than it was)

debka · 19/05/2012 19:11

reastie in the kindest possible way, if your MiL is so toxic, why are you letting her look after Alice once a week? Glad they've gone now and you can recover :) This is DH's Grand Plan, there's only one other company making them, and they're just 2 blokes with no joinery experience (he knows this because his dad has met them nosy bastard), and they're selling masses of them. He'd better sell a few at least, we've spent £££ on bloody materials already. you're already posher than me btw, you have an orchard and your parents have a Music Room Grin

Had a lovely day in the sun today, think I may be slightly sunburnt Blush

debka · 19/05/2012 19:13

Massive strike out fail, how annoying! Should say:
nosy bastard)
and they're selling masses of the,. He'd better sell a few at least, we've spent £££ on bloody materials already

debka · 19/05/2012 19:14

DAMMIT

nosy bastard CLOSE BRACKET HERE

reastie · 19/05/2012 19:34

deb I hate MIL looking after Alice one morning when I work. Every week I stress about it. I only let her on the basis she takes Alice to a baby class so there is minimum time alone together. I regularly argue with DH about it and nearly didn't go back to work because of this, it's just I felt I had no choice. You got sunburnt? We had zero sun ehre today

debka · 19/05/2012 20:02

That's a tough situation. It's hard with inlaws and family and stuff when you have kids.

Yep, sunburnt, sun shone all day here Shock still shining now in fact [doubleshock]
