ed sorry things are being made more difficult for you, sorry to say it but it doesn't sound like he's going to agree to go on Sunday either. Good that you have MIL on side, can she help convince him he needs to give you some space?

sassy ouch for your DP's ear hope it gets better soon. Could you roast the butternut squash really simply, slice it put a little oil on it and pop it in the oven on a baking tray, then purée it once it's soft.

fuzzzy your day sounds much more active than mine, I've made choc chip muffins and a spag-bol for tea for DH and I. W still won't eat anything that's not really really smooth purée so I'm keeping him on pouches for now.

BB3 hope you feel better now

scheh how are you?

PenguinArmy · 25/04/2012 14:33

ed huge sympathies for you. I agree with the suggestion for starting a thread in relationships, if only to act as recorded timeline for you and your thoughts.

I also agree with just roasting it. I find with the squashes, if BLW, it is good to leave the skin on when giving the babies as it's gives them purchase to hold it. They should automatically discard the skin. Gave DD tortilla's with bean and veggie filling (separately). There were a few beans in his nappy so he managed to pick them up and eat them. He had tofu, fried mushrooms (cut in half so big enough) and spinach potatoes yesterday. Plan to try peanut butter sandwich soon to test for allergy.

I also think steak every so often is fine, just make sure it is served with a food that they can eat like potato. There is still a lot of goodness that can be extracted just by sucking and each new thing is a new thing to learn.

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 25/04/2012 14:39

SIL is on the phone to H now probably giving him what for, she's made of stronger stuff than me and doesn't have the added responsibility/fear of screwing C up over it.
I'm not sure myself what I want yet, i don't think he'll leave easily on Sunday or any other time! I'd like to see if he means that he will go teetotal and stick to it, he'll certainly have enough temptation over the next cpl months as we have a v big football game (where his friends will all be laying on the pressure to go to the pub on Sunday) 3 christenings including M's in may and a wedding in June.
I will either agree to let him stay and prove himself or physically kick him out on Sunday depending on what he says after speaking to his sister/the priest and on his behaviour following the football on Sunday.

We did have a v good talk last night probably the fury time we have done since before I fell pg with M! It was the first time I felt he really listened which is why I told him about the EA.

ATM there is no romantic contact whatsoever and we are being civil in front of C but we are basically housemates ATM.

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 25/04/2012 14:41

I'll start a thread on relationships tonight after kids are in be and I can do it on laptop.

MrsHende · 25/04/2012 21:31

Keep your chin up Ed and let us know how you're doing.

I have a guilty admission to make...I wish L still had a blocked nose SadWink. She's such a quiet sleeper that now she's finally totally over her wee cold I can't hear her breathing at night! So I lie, listening, then panic and jump up to feel her chest move and wake her up!

We've started on food, the baby porridge doesn't seem to upset her too much, not convinced she's swallowing anything though! Tomorrow it's sweet potato purée.

Lizzie's sleep seems to be getting worse. I don't think she's eating enough during the day, she gets so distracted when she's feeding - she's so nosy. Not at all like her mummy, oh no.

Had our last baby yoga class this morning, will really miss the classes but can't afford the advanced course (!), DH isn't working and I'm on SMP...we can barely afford the bills never mind baby yoga! Slight extravagance! Went back up to full pay on Monday though so not too long till we're on a bit more of an even keel and I can sign up for more silly classes Grin.

MamaMaiasaura · 25/04/2012 21:39

ed thinking of you. X

mrsh Grin at your post, made me laugh, especially the nosy bit. tried to feed J in costa today and ended up spraying everywhere as she pulled off to gaze and grin at anyone who was there Blush.

sassy ouch at you dh ear, sounds awful. Sad

Busy day today, went to baby swimming but isn't last long as was quite cold in the pool today, then had breastfeeding group this afternoon.

MamaMaiasaura · 25/04/2012 21:40

bb3 how are you feeling now?

scheh hope your weekend leave went well, how are you song?

Penelope1980 · 25/04/2012 22:51

Fuzzy I am not an expert like Sassy but I actually really like pushups. You have to get the technique right and when I started could only do about three on my toes, but find them a really satisfying way to mark my progress by seeing how many I can do in a minute.

This one is good too (which may have been one Sassy recommended anyway)

www.fitnessvancouver.ca/anatomyassets/exercise%20side%20plank.htm

I like squats and lunges too - not core as such, but what I need to do every second day if I ever want to run again (or so says my podiatrist) (not that I do, although I think about it ... )

One thing I am looking forward to about going back to work is going to the gym at lunch. That's the only thing though

sassy34264 · 26/04/2012 07:05

ha, im no expert! i only qualified in 2009 and ive never worked in a gym. i did it for me to help with my training. i knocked 11 mins off my sprint triathlon time in 6 months cos of it- so it did help.

push ups arent really a core exercise. although they are being used a bit, you are working your pectorals (the muscles under your boobs) and your triceps (bingo wings)

they are a good exercise to do though. the best exercise that works the most muscles at once is the clean. you have to learn a deadlift first, which is excellent for your legs and bum (its basically a squat but with a weight). again the gym guys would show you if you asked.

how are you ed ?

sassy34264 · 26/04/2012 07:11

i thought a podiatrist (sp) was for feet?

not sure how squats and lunges fit in to making you run again. but then i dont know why you cant run! just a bit Confused understand if you would rather not say. Smile

im lying under the duvet, but can hear everyone is awake- so let the mayhem commence- groan.

I'm doing the same Grin. S is mumbling away but I'm having 5 mins before I get up to her!
I had a dream last night that she started walking at 7 months old and I came on here to tell you all and no one believed me! I was then asked to leave mumsnet for lying Blush!! My mind goes crazy when I'm so tired!

CheshireDing · 26/04/2012 07:48

ha ha fuzzzy i a coming on here this morning to gloat that P did 6 straight hours last night, i did have to get up at 6am to express though as the sheets were wet ! did get 7.5oz fro one boob so that will be supplies when i am out monday night.

currently back in bed all 3 of us as dh off today, so snuggling and feeding, hence only 1 hand for typing

sassy is that the clean and press, we used to do that in bodypump, thats a great classfor seeing results.

hope ed is ok

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 26/04/2012 07:55

I'm ok sassy thanks, he's still here, I'm feeling a bit better and he seems to be trying hard, I'm still not trusting it will last, only time will tell. I've told him to come up with a specific plan as he is now saying that he would still like to have a drink in "social situations" so not quite teetotal ten Confused I've told him to write down a plan with v specific goals/limits on so that he can't deny/twist it at a later date. So I guess I'm giving it one last go.

My last baby is 6 months old today how dd that happen Sad

Grin @ your dream fuzzy

FuzzzyDuck · 26/04/2012 07:57

Go little P!! That's great! I remember back to when I was bf and she started sleeping longer at night, the amount of mornings I woke up soaked. Fingers crossed its not just a one off. S kermit bag came yesterday, I love it! The card that came with made me Grin. 'be careful when putting me down on grass as I'm the same colour' Grin I need to get out more
I'll second body pump for results. I must get back to the classes. I doubt i could lift a 1.5kg now Blush

MamaMaiasaura · 26/04/2012 09:40

fuzzy Grin at your dream

Re core exercises, ds2 was doing his version of the plank yesterday. Funny.

Re sleep Envy Jessica has decided cosleeping is the best, which is fine except ds2 the same and so I'm on high alert for sibling squishing Hmm

FuzzzyDuck · 26/04/2012 11:02

S been sleeping on me for about an hr and 20 mins. Why can't she sleep like this in her cot..? my house is a tip and friends on way over ahh!!

sassy34264 · 26/04/2012 11:34

Hmm ed he's back pedalling after less than 24 hours. i wasnt mad on your behalf before, but i am now. i understand you want to give it one last go, but i think you should write down a specific deadline too. like how many months/ years you are prepared to put up with it for- and then you cant deny/twist it on a later date. Grin

a lot of people give it a last go, so they can say they tried everything, which is fair enough. i wasnt hopeful before to be truthful, but if he's changing what he says after less than 24 hours- you've he's got no chance of changing imo. really hope he proves me wrong though. x

cheshire yes its the clean in clean and press. the press is an additional move.

fuzzy i have rhinnitis and my nose is just running like a tap at the moment, so i have to stick tissue up a lot very attractive i dreamt that i went outside with it still in and forgot.

jnice hows it going with l? has he repeated his 7hr and 20 mins?

OP posts:
sassy34264 · 26/04/2012 11:36

oops forgot to say- happy 6 months to m. x

OP posts:
EdwardorEricCantDecide · 26/04/2012 12:07

I haven't set a deadline as I see this as a last chance so even if he stays reasonably sober ad completely off cannabis for say 2 years then relapses it will still be over IYSWIM?
I am now worried about what to do with work? I was meant to be reducing my hours to 18 hours per week but if I do this then we split then I'll no longer qualify for tax credits so I think I'll need to increase hours to 24 now while I can in case it does go belly up?!

FuzzzyDuck · 26/04/2012 12:43

ed yes I would work 24 hrs a wk just incase

sassy34264 · 26/04/2012 12:54

not much faith here either ed i would ask for 24 hrs too. Sad

sassy34264 · 26/04/2012 13:00

there is something up with isobel. she has been crying and whiney for 2 days. ive tried checking her teeth, but she wont let me. i hate giving paracetamol for nothing but im a bit ARGH with the wailing at everything and especially at nothing!
ive been up 4 times since i put them to bed for a nap. its took 40mins and she has only just gone quiet.

OP posts:
FuzzzyDuck · 26/04/2012 13:02

Aww, poor I Sad. It's so difficult when they can't tell you whats up

PenguinArmy · 26/04/2012 14:03

well DS didn't go more than an hour after 10:30pm, often less. DD was up at 5:30. In addition to sinusitis I have a large red patch on my book and it's sore. I don't think it's quite mastitis yet and DH is away for another two nights yet. Doing OK even if my day is a bit frantic

{{hugs}} to ed

I did some pilates today otherwise I am ignoring all exercise talk. I am still losing weight, down to 50kg now which actually I am finding a bit disconcerting.
