It sounds like you both have a lot on your plates.

How did you think it went today Simpson? How is J?

That's a hard day for you JKS! I have no particularly wise words for you, but am hoping you get a glass of wine and a good night's sleep.

S+D are up playing farms suddeny with great enthusiasm. S I think may have chicken pox, which is as much as to say she has a spreading rash and one or two of them look sore. Danny has had fevers all day but a sudden burst of energy now. I'm going to leave them to it and make something tasty to eat.

Oh no hope it's not chicken pox!

M was back at school today and J seemed happy and the HT did not speak to him but took my word for what is happening.

Apparently she left the meeting with me and went straight to his class and pulled the bully out and J's words were "you could hear her shouting round the whole school and then X came into class crying"

AIBU for thinking, good!!

HT is also sitting in on J's parents eve next Monday so we can talk about it. He (J) has issues with talking and goes mute when things are bothering him (although not with me or M but pretty much everyone else - so I knew something was on his mind when he did not talk to my mother last week).

JKS - did not realise T was dyslexic Sad not nice for him to be kept in at play/lunch times. Hope it's sorted. Have a Wine

How are things going with J at school/ I'm glad the teacher gave the bully a rocket.

JKS how are you?

D has been as poorly as he has ever been these last few days with a horrid cough and fever. I think I'm getting it now but have to go into work for the rest of the week. It's our busiest time.

Is everyone ready for Christmas? Amazingly, I think I am. I just have to work out what I'm cooking around the big day and wrap presents.

Have just got an amazing bargain from a charity shop. A telescope for kids (8+) for £10. Just looked at the same product on eBay and it's going for £276!! Shock

J seems happier, HT has sorted it but forgot to tell the class teacher Hmm so when I went to parents eve last night he knew nothing about it!

Grin I got three Design a Friend outfits (£12.99) in a suitcase the other day and I thought that was pretty good!

Now, are you going to keep it or sell it ..... Grin

OP posts:

simpson · 07/12/2013 01:23

I guess I have to keep it as J has said in the past he wants one.

M has asked for a guitar which my brother is getting but she is left handed so it is a bit more ££.

Sick of school, the bullying is still going on. I have had J sobbing this eve saying he cannot remember the last time he liked school Sad He is also moaning that the (maths) work is too easy and boring which he never says but I am at loathe to go in (yet) again and speak to them.

Any news Simpson? It must be horrible. I'm sure he will love his telescope.

School concert today. Hankies at the ready!

Hi all.

We've had a lovely Christmas, but tiring with lots of family. Still got my parents until tomorrow, then it's operation get the house back!

Can't believe we're looking at 6 birthdays already!

S is 6 today! She spent 45 minutes screaming at me that I was a nasty mummy last night after having a nightmare about me hitting her Hmm and eventually came downstairs to find the nearly-finished three tier Hello Kitty cake I had spent three evenings making her, which somewhat stopped her in her 'nasty mummy' tracks Grin

Happy birthday S!

What did she get for her birthday? I need some ideas.

The only thing I have got M so far is a scooter (iscoot) which is a (much) cheaper version of the maxi micro.

LaTrucha · 01/01/2014 16:18

The things she got are pretty idiosyncratic to Sabela but for what it's worth she loves them all.

Baby Annabell bed (It actually cost me £15 new!)
Baby doll school uniform which she was mad for.
Melissa and Doug sticker which I thought was incredibly expensive for what it is but she loves.
nail varnish and make up sets I got in the Monsoon sale
Cinderella DVD
Charlie and the Chocolate factory pop up book (it actally cost me a fiver)

She also got for Christmas the Leapfrog reader pen, which is a bit of a flop and the Vtech secret diary which also does not cost that much and is great.

Slushy cups have also been a great hit. They also don't cost that much. Hmm I got mine for £8 each.
I don't know what amazon have those crazy prices on. The toys really don't cost that much.

I have no idea what to get either S or D for Reyes, so any ideas welcome!

She also got a watch, which she is quite good at but largely ignores.

Complete flops were the Orchard games Tell the Time game and Operation which is in a rubbish new version.

The LED bath dolphins are going down very well this minute. I'm sitting outside a completely dark bathroom where they are loviing playing with them in the bath.

Happy Birthday Sabela!

I'm getting H a maxi scooter joint with pil and that's it so far!
Led bath toys sound great but the we've just gained bath toys this week.
All I can see is stuff everywhere! Sigh.

We are planning a football party at the place where he goes every week for football so think any money left over will just go into his account.

Have to decide if I'll get the other 2 to 'buy' him something too to join in.

JKS - check out the iscoot on amazon, it looks exactly like the black maxi but is only £44!! M's best friend has one and it looks really good.

M is very into playing "schools" atm so need to think of something she can use for that.

Going to check out the LED dolphins!

Thanks I will do. Though T has one and want it to look similar.

Re schools - we have an A frame thingie with a pointer stick that you flip over the pages. We were given it though. But will try and look for similar online for a link.

I did look at it for Christmas but thought it was over priced but then forgot about it Blush

Will look at it again.

Right, just been shopping (gotta love amazon!)

Birthday sorted Grin

A ukulele book ( she got one for Xmas and knows a few chords), a "real" classroom register, set of praise pads, set of "well done" stamps, 1000 "good work" stickers and a non fiction book on Louis Braille (she wants to learn Braille - odd child!)

With the scooter and her party, should be fine Smile

Oh, I forgot, I got the light up ducks!

She is being taken to the theatre by my mother to see Matilda too.

I thought it was too expensive too. I want a ukelele! If she is anything like Sabela, she is going to love that stuff. There is probably not time now, but I have just remembered that there is an ebay shop which sells personalised teacher stamps and ink pads.

I wanted to get her a plant your own Venus fly trap kit too but the reviews are really bad.

My brother got M's ukulele (J got a guitar) as she has tiny hands. We have had to tune it in reverse though as she is left handed. She loves it as its bright pink!
