I bought her a dolly today and she spent ages rocking it and saying ah its so sweet then i gave her the bottle for it and she actualy fed it in the right place whilst smacking her lips Grin

ILovePonyo · 17/03/2012 22:23

Nooo no no ledkr I think I could only cope with being a fly on the wall, you all sound too much for me! I'm a shy wall flower you know Grin Wink

An off to bed now, dp offered me a lie in tomo morning as it is mothers day but I declined as he got up with A this morning, aren't I nice Hmm night all x

tadjennyp · 17/03/2012 22:56

Sleepover was great, thanks, ledkr! Apparently they all got to sleep at midnight. Glad it was the leaders and not me with 40 odd 6 year old girls in one room! Grin Loving the race stories. Lapdancers for the blind is a classic. Grin Grin

I hope you all have lovely Mother's Days tomorrow. I have to wait until May. Smile

blizy · 18/03/2012 01:42

Ledkr- your night sounds fab! I would love to party with you! Thanks for your offer for tomorrow, I may well take you up on it.

I had a nice night out with Dh and adele friends for dinner and drinks ( coke for me as I was driving- boring). I am laying in bed wide awake as usual, Dh is snoring away beside me Angry.

I hope you are all having a good weekend and have a lovely mothers day tomorrow, you all deserve it. Thanks for you all.

wigglesrock · 18/03/2012 11:07

Morning all

Have been working all weekend so haven't had time to catch up, will pop back later but just wanted to say glad you had a great time ledkr Grin.

tadjennyp hope you have a lovely day too, if I were you I'd be milking it and having 2 Mothers Days Grin

blizy thinking of you today, was at mass this morning and priest said a special prayer for Mums whose children had died, so lit a candle for Zoe, sadly had to queue Sad

Weather absolutely gorgeous here Shock.

Talk to you later x

blizy thinking of you today and hope your DH is giving you lots of hugs

ledkr love all these stories Grin

Been reading but not posting this week end as we;ve been busy turning out dining room into a play room Grin

What has everyone had/done for mothering sunday then? Am I the only one severely disappointed? No one has even said happy mothers day to me today yet Sad . I got a cheap bunch of carnations/chrysanthemums yesterday which DH knows I don't really like and was told 'this is for tomorrow' since then nothing. DH been in a stinker mood all morning, I've got a cold and have been crying as I was hoping for at least a 'happy mothers day' greeting and a card. And to top it all off, the bunch of flowers DH bought me I had discounted to buy for his mum for mothers day (yes, I had to buy his mum flowers) a few days ago for looking too cheap, and bought a more expensive bunch for her. I realise this is a massive self rant, but I need to get it out there. Feel bit better now.

ledkr · 18/03/2012 16:29

blizy xxxxx

reastie I gave up years ago hoping for anything special on m day.Ex occasionally ran round the garage for a card from kids. I had a paddy one day and drove up the hill with a coffee and paper and sat there all day Grin I threw the crappy card in the bin too.
Dh is working so we went for a curry lunch and he forgot his card and i paid Hmm
I had a few chocs and cards but next year i am going to leave the dc with dh and go to the pub with my friend, have a nice lunch and bottle of wine and read the paper.
At least you dont have to bother for fathers day. Grin
wiggs hope you have finished now,i used to hate working weekends.

blizy · 18/03/2012 17:54

Horrible day so far, my mum moaning that my you get bro didn't get her a present. I caught my ds smoking, I walked straight past her.Angry I have been in tears most of the day, I don't want a present or a card. I just want my baby girl. Dh is making us dinner and having some brownies for afters. Yum.
I hope you all had a lovely day.

reastie · 18/03/2012 18:49

xxxxxxxxx blizy . I feel so Blush at my moan, but I know you won't hold it against me as you are such a wonderful and caring person. It must be so hard and I just don't know what to say. xxxxx

blizy · 18/03/2012 18:53

Oh no reastie, I wasn't getting at you Blush sorry. It was just some things my mum said today, she was very grabby and moaning about the pressies my younger bro's got her and how much money they spent. ( they are both still at school with no jobs and get no pocket money, somehow she was expecting for them to pay for things I don't know!)

reastie · 18/03/2012 18:57

No blizy sorry, I phrased that wrong, I knew you wern't which is why I find you so amazing. Your Mum (and Ds) being like that today is just not what you need.

ledkr · 18/03/2012 19:08

Aw blizy awfull day for you mate, maybe the worst one? Stay strong is all i can say,you are such a dignified Mummy you make me proud to know you and amazed at your strength to stay in touch with us all when it must be so very painful at times. Things will get better one day I promise, look how far you have come. Enjoy your night.

Is anyone watching homeland? Its so good im off to bed at 9 to watch it.

wigglesrock · 18/03/2012 20:00

blizy hope you and dh can relax this evening. I know its really hard but try and put your family out of your head, I hope you don't mind me saying but you know they haven't exactly been pillars of support over the past year. Hold on to dh, have a cuddle, cry, rant - whatever you want, just remember what a fantastic Mum for Zoe you are. As I said before your love for her just shines through in everything you say, hold on to that and feck everyone else. Time to look after you now and thats a Wiggles order xx

ledkr I love Homeland, its our favourite show at the minute.

reastie sweetheart, sorry you had such a poo time today. I'm putting my head on the block here Grin but you have to tell dh that you're not happy with the effort he's putting in. We don't do a lot for Valentines Day or Mothers day, in fact I always think Mothers Day is something thing grown up children do for their parents but your dh needs to be getting you something that you would like, not a panic bunch of flowers.

Years ago Mr W used to buy me the same thing for birthdays etc - CDs and DVDS and in the end I just had to say to him, that I didn't like music or films to the obsessiveness he did, so could he go and get me a t-shirt /bag /scarf/book/picture frame. I stood infront of a top I liked in Tescos a few weeks ago and said "see this top, I like it, and don't forget I'm a size ...." Guess what I got this morning Grin and some slippers which are a boring injoke we have.

Anyway that was a bit boring rambly, we had a nice day, all piled up to my Mums and we all made a curry so there would be no long dinner to cook, my dad and Mr W tidied up while my Mum drank little cute bottles of champagne and got quietly sozzled, I long to be in my 60s Grin, my mil is in Spain for a week, that is my idea of a perfect Mothers Day and I mean being in Spain not her being away Grin

debka · 18/03/2012 20:14

blizy big hug and a kiss from us all xxxx

reastie I agree with wiggs, you have to tell DH what you want. Tell him explicitly, like wiggs did in Tesco, then remind him the day before. My first MD I was upset too, he'd got me a children's book, I mean, ffs, it's MOTHERS day. So I told him it wasn't on and I wanted nice things for ME. Lovely card, flowers and a teapot/cup set this year. I reminded him every day last week Grin. They really really don't know if we don't tell them.

However I was a proper mug, had everyone up to mine and spent the morning cleaning and prepping food, then cooking, then clearing up afterwards. Actually it was nice, everyone seems to be most comfortable at my house, the girls had a brilliant time.

wiggles :( at the queue

Brace yourselves everyone, I am Going to Boast, and it won't be stealthy :)

S seems to be doing stuff much earlier than Imy did, she is running round now after her sister, and says new words all the time. This week we've had teddy, sweeties (I blame my mum!), playground, and breakfast. I am ridiculously proud, I thought I'd got over all that proud mummy nonsense with Imogen but it would appear not Grin

Had a cracking run tonight , I went out without the ipod and i rather liked the quietness, although I nearly got mown down by a white van, knobhead.

ILovePonyo · 18/03/2012 20:36

Hi all,

blizy once again Hmm at your family, I don't blame you for walking past your sis smoking, it must be so infuriating. They really don't have a clue about sensitivity do they, sounds like your dh is looking after you though. Sending you some internet hugs xxx

deb what the frig at Bean - she sounds like a baby genius!! A isn't walking and I don't think she can say any words - she says mama and dada but not to us. Although she can shake her head 'no' when she doesn't want something, very definitely too Grin

reastie agree with everyone else (of course). dp got me a card for mothers day which was nice as we don't usually bother with cards for 'occasions' and some cupcakes, nom. A made me a card at nursery which is basically a piece of card with screwed up paper glued on, very funny, the staff told me that she made it all her self :) Anyway yes have a word with dh - as long as you explain it why youre upset rather than having a go he'll be ok?

wiggles your mums mothers day sounds perfect Grin And well done Mr W - see reastie it works!

Well curry seems to have been the food of choice for today - dp cooked a fab curry which A enjoyed too, yum. Oh and she has been sleeping better

wigglesrock · 18/03/2012 20:36

ledkr Anna has a dolly too, she likes feeding it and wiping its bum with a baby wipe Grin Anna and Dills had better watch out they are not sued by their dollies should they encounter any health problems as a result of being bottle fed Grin - saw you on that charming thread - you "spoke" brilliantly x

debka Just wait until you have a 3rd Grin A is way smarter sometimes than S & O apart from when she tries to eat the dog food Blush

OP posts:
debka · 18/03/2012 20:43

I only recognise these words because she's actually pointing at the thing- sweeties is more like dee dee, breakfast is beh bah!

She is certainly a genius though, thank you for recognising that ponyo Grin S has never tried to eat dog food she drinks the water out of the bowl though Grin

Like Anya's MD card, that's cute :)

RobinSparkles · 18/03/2012 20:46

Hi everyone! Just popping in quickly to say Happy Mother's Day! I haven't caught up properly, just skimmed through the last page.

Blizy, lots of hugs to you. Hope you enjoyed your dinner and Brownies! I would want to smack your sister with a spade for smoking like that Sad.

Hope everyone else had a lovely day. Need to go do some ironing - boo! Zzzz!

Four4me · 18/03/2012 20:49

Hope you are ok blizy and having a nice evening. Big hug. So difficult for you my love.

Sound like you had a total blast ledkr loved hearing about it. Grin We are out next Saturday with the same couple from jaguar bomb night back in december, help.

debka wow at clever S. That is amazing. Archie is still very babyish, crawling (super speedy) only saying 'dada' and pointing saying 'wa'dat?' and that is about it!!!!

reastie I agree with deb and wiggles, I learnt a while ago the art of steering dh into getting what I wanted. As the children get older you can use them to drop massive hints. So a couple of weeks ago I started the 'oh i'm so looking forward to a long lie in on mothers day' 'if you need any ideas for mothers day I'd love a new xyz, a xyz etc etc'. So this morning I got up fed Archie, took him downstairs and dh got all of them dressed and fed while I sprinted back upstairs and dived back into bed. Then a hour or so later they all came up with the correct preordered Grin presents!!!! Joseph even wrapped me up an envelope full of 2pence's that he had saved up.
Hope the Alice's playroom looks good.

ledkr · 18/03/2012 21:06

*4for I would go even further dH i would like some benefit mascara dont buy it in boots as too dear go online! No nonsense bloody hinting.
Dills is walking a fair bit now very drunken. She has been very sweet too.Im amazed at their understanding too.She walked her walker into the wall and couldnt work out how to turn so she banged the wall a few times before giving it a damn good hiding with her little hands Grin
wiggs I felt all glowy and proud when you said i was good on the thread haha.I was quite proud too and got a few pms from people suggesting i should write professionally I felt very passionate about it.
Must go homelands. Btw wiggs wtf is she doing gettin pally with brody?

wigglesrock · 18/03/2012 21:21

ledkr you were fab Grin I posted on it at the beginning as I thought it was joke thread, I was very angry when I realised it wasn't Grin Its all water off a ducks back to me, but when I think about someone like my sister who is such a new Mum and so frightened and worried about everything and had such a hard time feeding Emma, I get absolutely incensed.

I love Claire Danes, always have, but think she's treading on dangerous ground attending the meetings, who says I overthink made up tv shows Grin

OP posts:
ledkr · 18/03/2012 21:39

Dont bother me either wiggs but i like to stick up for the less gobby Grin My sis isnt having much fun either,Mani is a bit unsettled most of the time,i think its reflux but she wont be told, she is doing very well though and he is just adorable.

Oh brody is going to see the guard Shock

reastie · 18/03/2012 21:50

deb I was wondering how the meal went Grin house can't whiff too badly then I take it .

I'm amazed at the babies understanding and thinking too - this morning alice was walking in the kitchen and got her legs all caught up in the hoover lead. I thought she would fall over it so left her to it Blush but she pivoted her foot to make the lead longer so she could free herself and continue walking. Just the amount she understands and joins in with is quite amazing now - she seems to suddenly be 'getting' everything [fellow genius child]

I love homeland too but am videoing it so no chatting allowed about it until I've watched it

blizy · 18/03/2012 22:30

Ohh homeland is getting better. Wiggs I like Claire Danes too, I remember when she was in my so called life with the lovely hated Leto.
Thank you all again for the kind words, oh and wiggles fir Zoe's candle.

Reastie I'm glad your Dh finally recognised md. I agree with the others though, men need proper directions with gift buying. For my birthday one year my Dh bought me an electric blanket and s balloon modelling kit! Confused

I had a positive ov test yesterday- first ever! Let's hope we caught the egg as we swi'd loads over the past 4 days! Dh is away with work tomorrow for the week, he is working around Kent and London. J told him to wave to you reastie and granny!

Grin at all the little einsteins on this thread. Righto, bed for me time to stare at the ceilingHmm goodnight all.
