Hello all. Couldn't see a new thread so thought I'd do the honours. Sorry for rubbish title, I'm no good at witty! :)

So, this morning DS's photo was back up on the Maths expert board and the other boy has been taken off (no other roles has been changed since it has been up). . Assuming the other boy hasn't been naughty then what will he and his parents think Confused. Unless all little boys who are good at maths are also little pests which I can well believe TBH.

I'm off today and trying to blitz the last bits of my OU work, have made some headway.

Badvoc · 29/06/2012 13:01

Toby is in hospital with breathing problems ... Please pray/send good thoughts.
Thank you
X

Debs75 · 29/06/2012 17:14

Kagey · 29/06/2012 18:43

Oh no Badvoc I hope he is getting quickly better - thinking of you all x

Meglet · 29/06/2012 21:42

your poor DS badvoc. I hope he is on the mend and better very soon. x

Badvoc · 30/06/2012 08:10

Quick update:
Toby home now.
Not pneumnonia, thank goodness.
Chest infection and viral wheeze (?)
Was very poorly yesterday but hopefully 48 hours on ABs will make him happier
Thanks for the good wishes x

Meglet · 30/06/2012 20:00

ah, that's good to hear. Poor little mite, hope the AB's have kicked in now. Hope you can both have a good rest now you're home.

digitalgirl · 01/07/2012 15:29

Missed this badvoc - sorry you had such a worrying Friday. Glad it's not too serious though - poor T hope he gets better soon.

F still doing v well. Even his growth spurts aren't too bad - I think having a terrible sleeper first time round hardens you to things like an extra waking or two! DS1 still sleeping badly but he now goes to the toilet on his own at home without quarrel. And his challenging behaviour is improving too. Have bought 'how to talk...' and finding that it's making me more aware of how I respond to him so that's good.

Meglet · 02/07/2012 12:13

Hope everyone is having a good (if probably rainy) Monday.

badvoc How is Toby today?

Badvoc · 02/07/2012 14:25

Hi all and thanks for the kimnd messages. Toby is doing ok but his ABs finish tomorrow and he is still coughing so prob back to gp om weds :( think he may need a stronger steroid tbh... Its horrid weather here so toby and I have been baking...gf fairy cakes and gf flapjacks...yum yum :)

ninja · 02/07/2012 20:05

bookmarking, I'm incredibly busy at work at the moment and I'm afraid to say I cheered when I heard that Caoimhe's sports day had been cancelled as I was really struggling to get everything done.

Being away the last weekends with the kids hasn't helped (but has been fun :) )

CappuccinoCarrie · 04/07/2012 12:53

Bookmarking.
DS1 has worms, but because DS2 is under 2 we can't buy the over the counter stuff so my one morning in the week where I only have the baby with me has been scuppered by taking them all to the docs.
MN says this is a rite of passage. I'm not convinced

Debs75 · 04/07/2012 13:04

I want a sling for Lucy, she is coming up 2. I have tried a mei tai and it was great on my front but I want her on my back. Are there different sizes for baby and wearer

Badvoc · 04/07/2012 15:52

Worms? Oh, poor you carrie! I am sure it is a rite of passage, as are nits etc...but that doesnt make it any better I am sure...

Toby still has a chest infection Sad so new ABs and more inhalers Sad

Truly fed up. Got so much to do this week and now toby is off pre school and not happy. Supposed to be going on hols next friday.....

Meglet · 04/07/2012 16:05

carrie the dc's had them last year . Didn't take long for the tablets to work though.

All towels are changed daily in this house these days. Bugger the environment. The hassle of worms meant I spent 2 weeks cleaning like a woman possessed. I still check their poo's every so often, they didn't know they had worms though. Can you imagine that being blurted out in the supermarket!

badvoc poor Toby. Fingers crossed the AB's really work this time around.

CappuccinoCarrie · 05/07/2012 13:13

We have a family sized batch of medicine to beat those worms! Kids bedding all stripped, fully compliment of cuddly toys/blankies in the washing machine .
What was lovely was that the GP I saw is the lovely one who referred me for my endometriosis problems back in 2010, one of my issues of course being secondary infertility. She looked at me, looked at 10mo DS2 and beamed! It was so nice to be able to introduce her and tell her the end of the story. She did say that if we have three then we have to have four Shock. Well, if its doctors orders Grin. She also told me she'd had another patient in with infertility and she was in tears and she (the doc) just wanted to fix her and tell her it would be ok, but of course she couldn't :( I love a 'human' doctor, although her humanity means she's always running about half an hour late with appointments!
badvoc so :( to hera Toby is still ill, that's really rotten. But rest up now and he'll be fine for holidays and you can recover and put it all behind you

Badvoc · 05/07/2012 19:45

Thanks. Hoping he picks up over the next 48 hours or so. Good luck carrie x

Meglet · 05/07/2012 20:35

carrie I love chatty doctors. I would rather wait for a late-running, friendly and listening GP, than see the narky one on time.

I remember wiping the entire house with anti-bac wipes, all the door handles, bannisters, floors, the lot. Eeeeeew. Kids probably thought I'd gone mental....um....cleaning things Blush.

badvoc Hope Toby is a little better now.

I've been dipping in and out of Aillidhs threads all day, poor little soul. I hope something wonderful happens and she pulls through. My cousin died from leukaemia 25 years ago but another cousins 6yo daughter has just come out the other side from ALL type leukaemia, but there were some dark days for her parents. Terrifying illness Sad.

Badvoc · 05/07/2012 20:59

It's heartbreaking isn't it meg?
I want to cry...

Debs75 · 06/07/2012 12:03

Robyn has got another chest infection so is back on antib's. She was really struggling last night and we had a godawful night with Robyn and Lucy whinging at us.
And my bloody freezer has packed up, we knew it was going so lovely dmum bought us a new one on weds but ours just won't shut and keeps dfrosting and refreezing so we switched it off last night and the new one isn't coming till Tuesday! I have a stack of meat to cook and try and find something to do with and loads of home cooked soups and stews.
On top of that it is pouring down again and DD1's prom is tonight so I have her to faff with plus a cake to bake for dsis's birthday tomorrow.

I am tired and want my bed

Badvoc · 06/07/2012 12:07

Oh debs am so sorry about R.
Toby is on his second lot of ABs for a chest infection :(
Hope she is on the mend soon.
I am tired too...haven't got much done this week...lots of little jobs to do...

Debs75 · 06/07/2012 15:39

Thanks badvoc, the doc was a bit clueless so I can see us going back when the antibs have stopped. Dp is gong to have fun next week, I am back at college all week so he has both girls again

Badvoc · 06/07/2012 17:33

Debs Toby was in hospital this time last week! He was so poorly.

The ambulance diaptcher said she had never known anything like the number of cases of breathing problems in the past week...she said it was something to do with the change in atmospheric pressure Hmm

We are supposed to be going on hols next Fri - and ds1 came own this morning with a gammy throat...sigh...oh well North Yorkshire isnt looking too good atm anyway!!:)

Meglet · 06/07/2012 19:51

badvoc I was just going to ask if the weather was causing the breathing problems. We need a bit of summer Sad.

Debs75 · 06/07/2012 20:49

Thankfully she isn't that bad this time, although the hospital docs were better then our local gp.
We definitely need some better weather beforewe shrivel up.

DD1 has gone to her prom. She looked lovely with her posh hair and dress and even false nailsShock. She is all grown up nowSad. Robyn wanted to stay and dance with her and got a bit upset when we left them all. She cheered up when I told her we could see her friends puppies tomorrow
