cheshire I wish I had gone on holiday, sadly no as the weather is turning now and it will soon be time when I will be jealous of all your summers.

I don't really want to leave A in a nursery either Sad I hope I feel better about the idea when the time comes though

LittlePebble · 09/03/2012 03:41

Mama well done DS! Hope you're feeling better soon x
Pene I agree with MrsH I'd do 3 long days so I had 4 full days at home with LO.
Scheh be careful with your SPD! I still get twinges pushing buggy/ walking and it's normally a sign I've overdone it a bit.
I think I've aged since having E, although my new mummy friends all thought I was younger than I am so hopefully I don't look too bad (maybe a few good nights sleep would help?).
Sassy yay for Eva! Eli has just woken for a feed bit was down by 7.30 so can't complain.
Eli's been whizzing round in his walker and has definitely just had a developmental leap, he's so different this week from last week has anyone else noticed the same? (was 20 wks last Sunday)

Scheherezade · 09/03/2012 03:46

Ooh I might try C in his walker then lp

So tired I could cry. Fed at 10.30, 12.45 and now.

Jnice · 09/03/2012 03:56

What is a wonder week?

Hmm, I though L was having a growth spurt when this nightmare started about a month ago - sleep has just been awful for ages. I don't think I believe in growth spurts anymore anyway since his weight gain never seems to spike.

He is happy and meeting milestones so I should just be grateful for having a lovely, healthy baby. Soon he will be a toddler and I will miss the night feeds (seriously!).

Jnice · 09/03/2012 03:57

scheh - hope that's the last feed for tonight hon x

CheshireDing · 09/03/2012 04:33

It's basically like a development growth spurt Jnice, there is one at 19 weeks.

Jnice · 09/03/2012 05:57

I see! It makes sense. L has rolled for the first time and recently started shouting a
Lot!

Engelsmeisje · 09/03/2012 08:18

M just rolled onto his stomach from his back for the first time!!!!

And I missed it because I was washing-up!

There's a moral here ladies....Do less housework!

FuzzzyDuck · 09/03/2012 08:35

Yay for all these rolling baby's!! Yes, def less housework Wink. I was hovering the hall a day and S was on her back under the gym, 2 mins later, hover off and could just hear this muffled sound. Looked in and she had rolled but got a bit stuck! Really need eyes on back of your head now!!

lp I've noticed huge changes in S in just a few weeks. I was amazed yesterday when I gave her a carrot stick, she put it to her mouth so many times and was chewing away. Before now, she has never quite got to her mouth without giving up! She is rolling like mad now and even (thankfully) trying to stand more often! Glad E is enjoying his walker, he'll be whizzing around like mad!

We are off to Jo Jingles this morning then a quite afternoon. Still not heard from my friend with new baby. Hope everything is ok. If she gets intouch, will pop over this afternoon Smile

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 09/03/2012 11:06

Hey everyone I finally got my iPhone back but it runs really slowly now Confused so hopefully I'll be able to keep up with the thread more.
Yay for rolling babies, mhairi still isn't rolling but is starting to sit up better now. When she is in her cot now though she bangs her legs really strongly it sounds like she's trying to stomp through the ceiling downstairs anyone else's babies doing this?

OP posts:
MamaMaiasaura · 09/03/2012 13:12

I went to bed 9.30 and j fed 11.30, 1.30, 3.30 and 6.00. Had her photos done this morning.

ed j bangs feet often

LittlePebble · 09/03/2012 13:19

Another leg banger here. E still shows no signs of rolling - but then he doesn't like lying down so doesn't get much chance to practise lol!

Mama sorry you had another bad night.

Very exciting E went to sleep in his cot for a nap earlier and is currently in his cot again (don't think he's asleep yet but seems happy enough) why did I wait so long to give him a dummy...?!

LittlePebble · 09/03/2012 13:41

Oh my goodness he's fast asleep!

I think someone has swapped my baby.....

Engelsmeisje · 09/03/2012 13:49

ed M's full new name will be Eagle Boy Thumper Wouters. A real leg banger.

We are going rolling crazy now! He's worked out how to do it and now he won't stop!

PenguinArmy · 09/03/2012 14:11

EnvyGrin

DS has been rather unsettled, was awake for 90 mins in the night, not wanting to feed etc. Next time he did the same we gave him some calpol. Has been unsettled today as well poor mite. I don't know what the bother is.

He cried in the car all the way to where we were going. Babies are supposed to sleep in cars and buggies, not cry. He doesn't cry all the time in the car yet just under certain tired situations.

He rolled L to R (F to B) for the first time today but still no rolling back to front (hope that makes sense)

MamaMaiasaura · 09/03/2012 14:18

I think leg banging is prelude to rolling. For rollers, remember not to leave them on bed or sofa now.

Although j was awake frequently, she settles quick on boob and doesn't scream place down

Crap mummy, cbeebies on, feeding sleeping Jessica on sofa with ds2. Dreading mum showing up as I know she will wake her with her irritatingly fake mrs bouquet sing song voice.

Feeling shit, can you tell? Wink

Engelsmeisje · 09/03/2012 14:26

mama my FIL does that.

When I say, "M is trying to get to sleep" my Dutch is apparently so bad that what I'm actually saying is, "Go and shout in his face and wake him up."
The only way I have found to deal with this is getting DH to have a word with MIL to have a word with FIL to tell him to leave ua alone for 5 minutes, or alternatively locking the door and shutting the blinds! (although getting my boobs out helps as well Grin ).

PA M has done the other way round (b to f). You sound like you need a Brew

Okay, finally going to get some photos printed online to put up around the house, send to GPs and put in M's baby book. Watching Pocahontas (the Disney-fest continues...)

MamaMaiasaura · 09/03/2012 14:30

Grin engels that made me laugh (quietly). I stand corrected, my mum let herself in and ds2 told her to "be quuuiiieeettt shhh yessika skleeeepin". Bless him.

PenguinArmy · 09/03/2012 14:33

Our ILs clearly state that they think sleep if for either (i) at home or if they are here (ii) when we are not. I'm quite strict with it now. They are due to visit in a few weeks, not sure when. We'll get informed at the weekend apparently. Hmm
.

The car crying gets to me because i find it just so stressful. Sleep not to bad (although if it carries on it will get to me) more Confused as I don't know what's up. Normally he wakes and is asleep by end of feed.

FuzzzyDuck · 09/03/2012 14:36

enj that reminds me, I really need to get photos printed. I have none round the house yet! I'll do it tonight once the little lady is asleep Smile

We had fun morning at music! She loves it!! Although second time this week I've been caught short with her and leaking nappys! I really need to start packing her bag better! Other day she ended up in costa with trousers up to her knees and no vest, today no vest and no socks! He trousers were a little damp but had no others so she just had to wear them. Thankfully had a wee pair of boots in bag so she got away with no socks. My poor baby!!! People musta been Hmm

Another leg thumper here too. I said it a few wks ago, when she is under her gym, I need to put a pillow under her legs or my neighbours will be complaining about the noise!! Grin

MrsHende · 09/03/2012 15:39

I realised today that the spare clothes in my changing bag are all way too small! Must sort myself out too! My current issue is that the change bag lives in the bottom of the pram but I've taken to using the sling a lot more for local journeys and so realise once I've arrived at playgroup or the library that I have no change bag with me at all Blush!

PA I'm with you on hating the tears in the car. Whenever L starts screaming (not often, but often enough!), I put my hand into the back to wiggle the car seat or try to touch her hand, at every red light in a vain attempt to soothe her. Never works and I just end up with a sore arm!

We went to make handprint mugs for Grannie and Grandma for Mother's day yesterday - made one for me too Grin. We put a handprint on one side and a footprint on the other, they look fab!

FuzzzyDuck · 09/03/2012 15:55

Oh mrsh where did you do that? Sounds lovely!!

MrsHende · 09/03/2012 16:07

It was at The Life Craft, it's in DeCourceys Arcade off Byres Rd. The shop is upstairs, right at the back. The girl who owns it is called Vonnie and she's brilliant with babies. Each mug was £8.99. If you want it done for Mother's day you'd have to go pretty soon, I think she said on FB that if you did a ceramic after Tuesday that was needed for Mother's day there would be a quick turnaround fee.

It's a lovely wee shop, she sells wool and threads too and there are loads of different ceramics to paint.

FuzzzyDuck · 09/03/2012 16:10

Maybe I'll be cheap and try do it myself Grin Was it a special paint you had to use?

MrsHende · 09/03/2012 16:38

We did it on an unglazed mug so I think it was ceramic paint and then it will be glazed and fired.

I reckon you could use any paint on a plain mug but you wouldn't be able to wash it! It could be decorative!
