Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

cheshire I have no energy but I'm treating exercise as medication right now, for the PND. I fed kids, got bottle ready for L (ebm) and put me gear on. When DH got home I gave him a kiss and said 'I'm off to the gym, back in an hour' no asking, just as he would for football Wink

FuzzzyDuck · 29/02/2012 20:35

cheshire we had a few babies who started around the 6 month mark and were bf. the mum brought in a few bottles of expressed for through the day. Remember though that if P is starting at 10 months, she will be well into solids and maybe only a few day time feeds. You could feed before you dropped off and provide a bottle/s of ebm for morning/afternoon. You might find as well that she doesn't bother with milk on nursery days. If she won't take a bottle, try to get her drinking water/ebm from a free flow cup when you start weaning so by the time she starts, she is confidently drinking from one. We had a few baby's who done that Smile. Nursery fees are shocking though. There is big money to be made by owning a nursery!!!

PenguinArmy · 29/02/2012 20:47

Haven't read yet but engel I went back at 4 months full time and expressed so if you have any questions feel free to pm or fb me

PenguinArmy · 29/02/2012 21:11

At 10 months if needs be, they can do without milk in the day. I'd stopped expressing for DD at that point (although used freezer stock for a while to carry on the one 3oz bottle she had from 7 months).

Pumps, while at work don't need cleaning, sterilsing. Put into a ziploc type bag and leave in fridge, clean when at home.

DS is out of growth spurt now :) and is happier during the day as well

Pleased my honesty helped. I agree with whoever said it isn't the rocking itself that's a issue but recongising the mental state

MamaMaiasaura · 29/02/2012 23:36

Here we go again Sad so tired! And I was thinking of a 4th?!

FuzzzyDuck · 01/03/2012 00:05

mama your having quite a time of it just now Sad
pa glad to hear things have settled down at your end Smile

MamaMaiasaura · 01/03/2012 00:18

Everytime she's asleep her legs start banging down and she moans. Then cries Sad. Ds2 awake now too. I'm close to tears

FuzzzyDuck · 01/03/2012 00:28

Could you put a pillow under her legs? I do that to S when she is on baby gym. She likes to bang her legs down and I've noticed this cuts out alot of the noise. My poor neighbor bellow must think I have an elephant running around the noise she makes!!

MamaMaiasaura · 01/03/2012 00:31

I tried with rolled up blanket. She's asleep again as she's laying in my arm finishing off feed. I think she'll end up in bed all night. Means I'll only sleep light. Roll on weekend so dh can have kids and I can snooze

MamaMaiasaura · 01/03/2012 00:31

Grin @ elephant

Scheherezade · 01/03/2012 00:32

Mama, I find c settles quick if I do the blanket down tight over him, so its well tucked in on both sides. I suppose its similar to the feeling of being swaddled- worth a try?

FuzzzyDuck · 01/03/2012 00:32

My baby elephant Grin. I'm surprised I don't get a knock at the door Hmm

Fingers crossed for you Smile

Scheherezade · 01/03/2012 03:21

Tough night here. Fed 11, 12.30, and now.

Scheherezade · 01/03/2012 05:36

And again......

LittlePebble · 01/03/2012 05:44

Bubalie and PA glad things are a little better Smile
Mama and Scheh sorry you're having bad night Sad Mama I put a rolled up blanket underneath E's legs as it helps his tummy.
Wow nursery sounds expensive Cheshire, we only have one option here so I guess that makes it easier for me to decide!
Jnice great you got to the gym what was DH's face like when you left him, did he mind?

(don't want to jinx anything) but E has just slept 9-5.30 not sure if it's baby rice or that he's just passed his growth spurt/ got over his cold but yay I got some sleep Grin

Jnice · 01/03/2012 05:57

scheh and mama - hang in there!

pebble it was a bit :-o but he was happy for me to go. I said back in 1 hour and was 2 minutes early but he complained I was late - well it does feel like twice the time with 3 Wink

Scheherezade · 01/03/2012 06:55

And again!!!

I should count my blessings though, at least he goes straight back to sleep, though he seems pretty awake now. But that's probably due to our crap curtains letting in all the light.

Well done for getting to gym Jnice, though if it were me I think I'd march upstairs and straight to bed!

Scheherezade · 01/03/2012 06:57

He's got a snuffly nose and cough, his first cold :(

Jnice · 01/03/2012 07:02

scheh hope you get a rest soon. I find exercise makes me less tired, although some evenings sleep trumps it. The other night I sneaked off and grabbed half an hour in ds2's bed - no one could find me for ages Grin

MamaMaiasaura · 01/03/2012 07:24

Zzzzzz she was At least every 3 hours and then sang loudly at 6ish. Ended up whole night in with me. She has sleeping bag so no blankets on her and on top of duvet. I try not to come on here as the light hurts my eyes when I am sleepy, but wish I had as scheh soundls like our babies were matching eachother

Shower time for me

sassy34264 · 01/03/2012 07:36

morning.

we've been having some crap nights here too. eva has started to wake up for good aftee her 5am feeds - groan. its brought back memories of the twins doing it, until we managed to ease them bit by bit into their 7pm-7am sleep routine.
she didnt do it today, but still woke up early as i had to move fast to get jacob at 6am cos he was having a coughing/choking fit. they all have colds, so its been phelgm hell here. how can one little nose produce so much snot!

jnice i went to the gym on monday for the 1st time in years. said to dp to ring me if eva gets upset. got home, having thoroughly enjoyed myself and eva was asleep but wimpering on his chest. poor thing had been crying for over an hour. dp said she seemed to be in real pain. i ended up crying at the state of her. WHY DIDNT YOU RING ME THEN! Argh.
unless its a ploy to make me not go. [Hmm]

cheshire regarding childcare. i watched rhe cost of raising britain and was [shocked] at how much the cost has increased since chloe went. it would be impossible for me to put 3 in i would be working for very little.

dp has is first interview next week. fx for him, cos i definately dont want to go back.

sassy34264 · 01/03/2012 07:39

Hmm and Shock !!!!!!! forgotten how to do it. Blush

MrsHende · 01/03/2012 07:51

Morning, can I join the sleepless crew? Feeding every 2-2.5 hours here through the night for the past two weeks. I feel like a zombie.

To add to that, DH has found out that he hasn't got an interview for either of two jobs he applied for and I have an inflamed disc in my back. The physio said I'm just over doing it, and it's down to carrying the car seat/pram/carrycot around so much, and lifting L in and out of the cot and breastfeeding are aggravating it. So, nothing I can stop! She was very sympathetic but agreed. The only thing I cam think of is to have a few days without carrying all the equipment up and down to the flat but that then makes us housebound and I reckon my mental health would then crumble.

It's all a bit of a struggle right now.

Got the health visitor coming to the house today for L's 16 week check. Does anyone know what that involves?

MrsHende · 01/03/2012 07:53

Sassy the price of childcare is horrendous. The nurseries we're looking at cost between £800-£850 a month for full time! Makes me think L might have to be an only child!!!!!
