Yes I like my hot water bottle Grin. I get to hot with electric blanket so like that I can just kick it out the way Grin. Hand is agony today. Ahh!!!

sch I read online that week 23 is a wonder week so maybe C is heading towards that? S was 21 wks on fri and I'm sure there is a wk between S and C. Just a thought. We have been doing good here. She has been sleeping right though. Stopped waking at 5am looking for dummy. I'm enjoying it while it lasts!!!

Scheherezade · 27/02/2012 09:23

Oh don't tell me that fuzzzy I've only just come out one mega sleep regression! Tbf he slept 12 hours on Saturday, without a dream feed as I had a bit too much wine . Yep, C is one week older than S. He just wants to sleep on me I tjink, he hates co sleeping, but loves falling asleep in the bf position across my belly against my skin, I guess cause its warm. Not conducive to my sleep though! I cant work the sling, and he's too heavy anyway.

Glad you're better Jnice hope the MH people can help.

FuzzzyDuck · 27/02/2012 11:52

I know! Just as one thing is sorted, something else comes along!! I'm off shopping in a bit. The purée all went down well this week. She tried apple, pear, banana, sweet potato, carrot, broccoli, spinach and parsnip. Enjoyed it all Grin! Time to stock up again. Been having breakfast (baby cereal and some fruit purée), diff fruit (mostly banana) around 2ish then dinner (veg and fruit) around 5pm. Will keep at this for another week or so then start to bring in lunch as well. Once she hits 25/26 weeks will start adding pasta and proteins. Have been leaving the veg a little more lumpy the past few days and she has coped well. How are you getting on bub?

CheshireDing · 27/02/2012 13:39

Oh fgs a Wonder Week coming up!

I second what Scheh says we are only getting random nights of good sleeping without Wonder god damn Weeks Grin

Feel terrible today as had a sleep for nearly an hour a lunchtime, feel effed because I had the sleep, feel effed because I need sleep, feel effed because I have done bugger all today :( :(

Have found though that P loves sitting inner chair in the garden in a blanket. I painted and wallpapered (only a bit) yesterday and she was whinging and then suddenly when I popped her in the front garden she shut up. Conclusion - I am chucking her outside in the chair every day for a bit. Not literally obviously Grin.

We are off to see the results of P's underwater photoshoot tonight. Which means we are off to be hard sold too really.

CheshireDing · 27/02/2012 13:40

Are anyone else's nips more wrecked now than after the birth? Mine are red, sore, bald etc :( Even with the Lanisoh.

FuzzzyDuck · 27/02/2012 13:44

chrshire yeah I had S sat in her buggy while I cleaned out the car the other day! Think she enjoyed the fresh air. Can't wait to be getting out more when the weather is better. Right now, I can't be assed out walking with buggy when it's drizzly and cold. Good luck with photos!!!!

Scheherezade · 27/02/2012 14:17

Cheshire, are you rubbing milk in after a feed? It has healing properties and really helped me.

That's excellent with S, you're doing a fab job!

Scheherezade · 27/02/2012 14:41

Oh, today I was sat in a cafe, realised C had been sat on my knee supporting himself for ages! He did it again this afternoon, so exciting! So no rolling, but we have sitting.

FuzzzyDuck · 27/02/2012 14:44

Yay that's great sch! Well done C Grin. We seen that in the nursery, some babies just went from sitting up by themselves, to standing/walking, completely missing the rolling/crawling stage. Looks like he may just do that!!

PenguinArmy · 27/02/2012 15:03

awww that's lovely Sch

DS still spurting, feeds last night either after 60 or 90 mins and that was with hourly feeds in the days yesterday.

FuzzzyDuck · 27/02/2012 16:04

pa Sad you must be knackered!! What age is dc?

golemmings · 27/02/2012 16:41

Another one here envious of even the occasional good night. Last night he went from 8 to 11.30 then 2.30 and the horror lay there chatting to himself and complaining about being lovely until 5. Up again at 8. At least dd didn't have me up last night. She has one if us up 2 or 3 times a week.

Currently have both children asleep in the car so I'm sitting out here on the drive playing on mumsnet waiting for one or other to wake up.

Otherwise a successful day. Coffee with a friend thus morning. Took a with me and left dd and DH cleaning. Came home to find the kitchen relatively clean and tidy, dd wearing swim suit, tights and a dress for age 12mo. She's 2 1/2 and got herself dressed thus morning.

Also DH was so busy cleaning the stove that he failed to notice she'd taken the scales out if the kitchen cupboard and was carefully measuring. Tea bags and cocoa. My lady grey tea could have an interesting taste...

Jnice · 27/02/2012 17:18

Sleep is going much better, just 2 wakings last night and slept until 6.20. Not feeling the benefit yet though, head in fog this morning.

penguin and all other sleep deprived moms, hang on in there! We'll get through it!

scheh well done C! Sitting up already Smile. L loves me to hold him in sitting up position and loves bumbo but it makes all his milk come back up.

Anyone else have a really shouts baby? L yells now. Not even unhappy necessarily, he just seems to enjoy shouting. I think I might be about to go deaf in my left ear! That's the side I hold him on.

Bubalie · 27/02/2012 17:48

Oooohhh so much to catch up on, this thread moves too fast for me!
I am the same with sleep - constantly sleep deprived. L still fighting daytime naps, so I'm trying to time going outs with his naps so that he naps in the car, otherwise have to rock him to sleep and he will only sleep for half an hour. Really struggling with it all at the moment. At night he will only settle sleeping on his tummy. As soon as I turn him around he wakes up. I am so paranoid about letting him to sleep on his tummy so we're all awake most of the night as I'm trying to settle him sleeping on his back. Toooooo tired of all of this, please, please someone tell me that their baby sleeps on their tummy?! Anyone?!
I have lost too much weight I think, I was 59 kg before I got pregnant, went to 70kg in pregnancy and am now only 55kg (around 9st I think!) :(, would love to put another 4-5kg on, but I think all the stress is not helping :(
Fuzzy you are doing so well with the weaning. Your little girl seem to be doing so well with all the foods. Well done. I'm still on baby rice only once a day, will do it for another couple of weeks and then move on fruit/veg I think.
Scheh well done C for sitting up, L still can sit up unsupported although I do strap him in his high chair and he sits upright nicely and holds his head, but is still some time off sitting on his own I think!
Jnice L has started 'singing' (as I call it, but it's really shouting Grin) in the past few days, sometimes he does it in the middle of the night, but I've noticed he does it also when he is trying to go to sleep!

MamaMaiasaura · 27/02/2012 18:50

Cheshire -you may be allergic o lanolin which is in lasinoh. I found air drying and rubbing milk in helped.

Still spurting here too and she's not keen in naps in day. This morning she woke singing at 5, then did huge up back thro vest, babygro and sleeping bag poo. So in bath at 6.00 zzz she's asleep now, bless her. Will prob have dream feed around 10.30 then will wake around 1am and 4 zzzzz so tired.

I've been letting her taste Ella's kitchen purree off my finger (ds2 has them as drinks them like a smoothee). She loves it and I actually put a spoonful to her lips and she sucked most of it off it. Not weaning as only 4 months but was amazed at how "ready" she seemed. Goes to show how different each baby is as ds2 was no way near interested at this age. I want to hold off tho till alot closer to 6 months

I'm feeling sick most of the time, like morning sickness (it's not). Anyone else getting this?

Jnice · 27/02/2012 19:00

bubalie can you get a motion sensor, or borrow one, so that you can let L sleep on tummy with no worries? If he's happy that way and you have a monitor maybe you could get a decent night instead I turning him over? Are you eating enough? Sometimes it's easy to forget when you're so busy. 9st sounds ok but how tall are you? It would be a perfect weight for me at 5'4".

Jnice · 27/02/2012 19:02

mama not feeling sick but I went a couple of weeks feeling really dizzy - like I was on a boat. Feel better now. Do you have any other symptoms? Sometimes I get nausea with PMS, could it be that?

MrsHende · 27/02/2012 19:56

I'm often feeling sick too mama, I was putting it down to tiredness! And definitely not too much chocolate

Bubalie · 27/02/2012 20:02

Jnice we have one of those AngelCare monitors which would sound an alarm if no movement detected for 15 seconds. Even with that I am so paranoid, although everyone is saying if that is the only way he will settle and sleep to let him (even his consultant at the hospital). I let him early part of the night and then when we go up around 10 I turn him over and we 'battle' from then on. I'm sure if I let him sleep on his tummy all night we would have a decent nights sleep!!
I'm 5'7" I'm sure I'm underweight! I do eat properly most of the time, but my problem is if I'm worried I kind of don't think about food, but my DH always makes sure I eat when he is around bless him!
mama I often get that sicky feeling too, but it's not constant. Could it be one of those tummy bugs that seem to be going around?

CheshireDing · 27/02/2012 20:05

Thanks ladies I will try the milk rubbing in, they are just being worn away by the feeding at the moment!

I have a yeller and growler Jnice, she seems to take it out on her toys and blanket mostly.

I agree, if you have the monitor pad I would not worry too much about tummy sleeping if that's what he wants as the alarm would go off.

I am going to look at all the options of childcare and might start to arrange some nursery visits soon are there any questions I really should ask if putting a 10-12 month old in nursery from anyones experience?

MamaMaiasaura · 27/02/2012 20:32

I've not got any other symptoms other than feeling wobbly/dizzy at times too. No temp or anything like that. Prob is tiredness, as it's only got bad since J waking more.

No ideas on questions for nursery (sorry)

MrsHende · 27/02/2012 20:33

I'm at the same stage Cheshire - dreading visiting nurseries! Can't bear the thought of leaving her there in just a couple of months Sad. I'll have a think about questions - are you watching panorama on BBC1 just now, the rising cost of childcare!

FuzzzyDuck · 27/02/2012 20:35

Nurseries, that's my specialist subject Wink

MrsHende · 27/02/2012 20:37

That's true!! Grin Fuzzzy can be our nursery guru!

FuzzzyDuck · 27/02/2012 20:42

Er..... I can try my best Grin
