Hi everyone sorry to hear about all the bad days, nights, weekends - hope it's all going better.

Hi raine nice of you to join us!!

Sister had kids yesterday as it was my friends funeral - it was massive, there must have been over 500 people there, there was a police escort because of the number of cars - it was very sad Sad

Anyway phoned sister this morning and she said Cameron woke at 2.30am and 4.45am as he was teething - dont understand this as he has been teething for weeks and hasn't woke up during the night - anyway going to collect him at 2.15 so hopefully he was just missing his mummy!!

Raine71 · 11/03/2006 16:51

justbonnie Finlay is still in 3-6 clothes (just) but 6-9 sleepsuits, he looks like a little buddha when he's just got his nappy on, bless him. I thought he would have to have bigger clothes, but so far havent needed to (not that that stops me buying them!!)

Mummygow thanks for the welcome. Smileand everyone else that Ive missed, xx

Elf1981 · 11/03/2006 19:58

We have a massive stash of 6-9 and 9-12 clothes in the drawer under the cotbed, starting to buy 12-18 months as we have so many already!

Mum & Dad have looked after Evie today, she had 2oz milk between 12:00 and 5:00 and wouldn't feed off me til 7:00, now currently screaming as she is overtired. Bless.

OMG we are under about a foot of snow today. Shock It's still snowing and I don't even know if we can get out of the driveway!! Perhaps a perfect day for staying in bed and feeding all day Grin
Johnny slept 7pm to 7am last night. He didn't dirty his nappy at all yesterday or through the night so there could be an explosion. Better watch it doesn't start an avalanche outside Wink

I love snow. Grin

We are spending the day on the setee with toons on the telly as dh and the kids all have this flu like bug that has been going round. We have the washing machine on full tilt as ds always pukes constantly when hes poorly and calpol gets everywhere {sticky). I have had to make a spreadsheet showing when everyones medicine is due, I am just so efficient Wink.

I am feeling perkier than I have for weeks. Funny things hormones.

Elf1981 · 12/03/2006 09:02

Finally got Evie into bed and asleep at nine. She'd filled up on me (had about an hours feed) and we'd put her in the carseat to bring her home, but woke her up trying to move her to bed. She wouldn't feed as she was full, so it took me lying with her and singing while she sucked her thumb to get her to sleep. Thought I'd be in for a rough night but she slept til 8:30 so that's good! She seems to sleep a lot longer on the weekends, not sure if she knows mummy and daddy want a lie in or if its beause she isn't disturbed by the alarm clock.

Anyway, mum and dad took her out in the pram they have, which is a three wheeler and looks outwards and sits up. App she had a lovely time in it just looking around, so I think maybe the time has come for me to put my M&P one to the pushchair not pram. Kinda sad about it, might hold off, as she's already in her own room, started weaning etc, and this is the only "baby" thing that she does iykwim. Will have a see today with DH about the pushchair.

Mawbroon Envy of snow AND 12 hours sleep!!
elf Envy 9pm - 8am of sleep!!!

Trice [impressed emoticon] of spreadsheets,am glad you're feeling perky.

Does anyone else still have bad days, when you don't know if you've got PND or are jsut totally and utterly exhausted? Or is it just me? Grin

mummygow · 12/03/2006 12:37

oh the snow is fab we cant move it's about a foot and a half high - the only thing is though Jess took a bad turn - she had been out with her dad building a snowman (didnt eat any breakfast as too excited) and came into get a scarf for the snowman and just collapsed - I screamed for dh and we had to keep her awake as she kept flopping back down and trying to close her eyes, she is alright now and I phoned NHS Direct and the said that they think she just fainted, but I will take her to doctor during week to be on safe side.

Cameron slept fine last night, dont know what the problem could have been at my sisters.

MB excellent sleep - any smellies yet Grin

Elf, trying to cling to your wee baby already - they grow up sooooooooooooooooooo fast!!

Trice hope you all get better soon

Raine thats what I acll Cameron - Buddah Boy!!

mummygow sorry crossed posts hope your lo is ok now

mummygow · 12/03/2006 12:40

RTL still feel totally exhausted too some days - but if you do feel like this dont keep it to yourself, talk about it, keeping it in makes you feel worse, I had PND with Jess although did not realy realise until I came out at the other side!! Take Care

mummygow · 12/03/2006 12:42

Yorkfleet she is now looking after baby annabell so I think she is fine!!

nervousmum · 12/03/2006 13:58

Can anyone recommend a pushchair to buy as a second one to go in DP's car? It needs to be quite robust and up to going 'off-road' as we live in the countryside, and it needs to be compact when folded so it will also fit in my (titchy!) boot.

I was considering a Quinny Zapp until i read the dire reviews! It needs to be more substantial than just a 'stroller', preferably with plenty of padding as Joey's only 24 weeks old now (and preferably plenty of change from £150 as it's 'only' a second oneGrin). Thanks, NM x

Thanks Elf - just got to hassle DP to come and look in Mothercare with me tomorrow nowSmile

No snow where we are (S E Kent), just bitterly cold. Took Joey out in his forward facing pushchair for his morning walk and all i could see was little clouds of cold breath! Either that or my son has started smoking!!!Grin

Hope everyone else has had a nice weekend, NM x

mummygow · 12/03/2006 19:09

Elf quite like the red one - I was thinking about getting a new cheap lighter one but all the ones I look at seem dull - do you think red would be suitable for a wee boy?

Elf1981 · 13/03/2006 08:18

We were going to get a red pram when I was pregnant, we didn't know the sex at the time. We ended up with a grey one and we're going to buy a nice pink brolly to put on it in the summer :)

Evie struggled to go to sleep last night, usually it's about 7:30 - 8:00 but the past few days have been nearer 9:00. She slept til 6:30 this morning and woke up crying (unusual, usually she just babbles til I go get her) and her arms were freezing. Checked the temperature thing in her cot, it was 60 degrees, usually it's 70 degrees. DH had changed the heating settings and they hadn't quite worked out right!

My lo's wake at 5.30, cold or warm!!! Grin

Thinking of putting dd in bedroom wih ds2, am I mad?

mummygow · 13/03/2006 09:53

What age RTL?

Cameron and Jess share a room, he is 4 months, she is 3.8, its fine!!

RedTartanLass · 13/03/2006 10:04

Mummygow dd born 21 Oct (what's that 4.5 months?) ds2 just 2.

However neither of them sleep through. DD sleeps in our room and I've got into the bad habit of popping a bottle in her mouth as soon as she grizzles, so as not to wake ds2!

She is in a crib at the moment but it's too wee now. Have moved ds2 to a bed last week to see if that would help his sleeping, he still crys maybe twice a night, but falls asleep after 10 mins or so. He has always been a terrible sleeper.

I sound like I'm talking myself out if it, but if they're going to wake each other up anyway, it might as well be when they're in the same room.

What do you think?

mummygow · 13/03/2006 10:14

Does dd wake ds2 up? Jess sleeps through Cameron's gurggling and cries in morning and if Jess wakes in night through needing toilet or bad dream Cameron stirs slightly but doesnt waken (I know this as I am dragging her from bedroom with gritted teeth saying shoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo) no seriously - its not as bad as I thought it would be. I put Cameron to bed 10/20 mins before Jess and they are fine Grin

Why not give it a try and see and if it's too much leave it for another few weeks!

RedTartanLass · 13/03/2006 10:19

A mouse having a fart would wake ds2! Grin He wakes up when she crys during the night anyway!

DD grizzles and has a few ounces of milk during the night, but I'm sure if I left her to it, she'd settle down after a few minutes.

What do you think?
