RTL pmsl - lovely image of dh running out door, running from loo, mad toddler, and haywire shopping - no wonder you want to go back to work on Monday.

You should write a book, I love reading stuff like this, it remind's me that it's not just my life and makes me laugh at my own upside down days Grin

Definately adding YOU to my MSN!!!!!!!!!!!!

nm glad you had a better night.

I have had the morning from hell and can't believe it's only 12:00 Shock

6.30am - open my eyes to see a big moonface grinning at me "Morgan Mummy"
6.30am and 1 sec - DP "AHHHHHHHH slept in"
6.31am - lovely little giggles from dd
6.33am - dp running out the house hopping with flask in one hand, mobile in the other and trying to put his boots on!!!
6.45am - peace resumed, 3 of us cuddled up in bed, absolute bliss.
6.50am - RTL needs wee, ds2 gets out of bed immediately pits his bob the builder wellies on! RTL moves dd surrounds her with pillows.
6.52am - piercing scream from bedroom, wont give you an image of me, suffice to say, had not finished my wee.

My beautiful wee angle lying on the floor face down, screaming her heart out. OMG it was a gut wrenching, heart breaking scream. Scooped her expecting to see blood everywhere, but not a bump nor a scratch. Almost crying now, thinking about it!

No idea how she managed it, she would have had to have fallen forward on her stomach, pushed a pillow out of the way and rolled over twice to reach the end of the bed Shock Don't think it was ds2 as he was in the bathroom admiring me having a wee on the "potty". Screamed blue murder for all of 10 minutes, then was her happy giggling self.

And to be honest the day has not got any better, including 2 poo explosions (i.e hose down in the shower job), tesco delivery man coming as trying to hose 1 pooey baby and a mad toddler running round in nothing but a vest, bob the builder wellies and a Bob woolly hat.

Tesco delivery man, attacked by a swan. Mad toddler "helps" mummy unpack shopping, cue a mixture of washing powder, baby milk and 10 unrolled toilet tissues.

This is all by 10am!!!

Bugger it, shingles or not, I'm back to work Monday Grin

MG Stick me on your MSM, I need some support!! Grin [email protected]

Thanks Everyone. We had a much better night last night - Joey was only awake twice, but we had deliberately propped him up on loads of pillows in between us on the bed so he could breathe better. Unfortunately there's no magic cure for croup, so it's just a case of waiting for him to shift it, although he seems brighter this morning for actually having had some sleep. We're supposed to be going away this weekend, but we'll have to see how Joey goes.

NM I hope that you and Joey have a better night.

Thomas slept from 9 - 7am this is the first time he has slept through since early Feb Grin I on the other hand had a crap nights sleep, DREAMT that I went into his room and that he wasn't breathing (woke myself up and had to go check on him) not nice so I am hoping for a nice fluffy dream tonight please!

Yorkefleet have never had shingles before, but am currently in bed, milking it for all it's worth Grin

Elf isn't great that she loves her CM, by LOs love their nanny. DS2 screams in excitement when she comes in. I have struck sooooooooooo lucky!

Evie has started doing 180 degree turns in her sleep so she lies width ways in the cotbed rather than lengthways. Bless. At least at the moment there is enough room for her to do so.
Getting fed up at the moment at work but never mind.
Evie very settled with the CM which is a good thing as I dont worry, but a bad thing as I hate the fact she doesn't miss me even half as much as I miss her!

MB pmsl at "toddler who I would gladly sell on ebay" Wink
I am ready for a bit of sun!! fed up of all this rain....soon be summer Smile
Thomas has started sleeping on his front, always put him down on his back but when we go to check on him 10 mins later he is always on his front. Tried turning him back the other night but he woke up as we did and he screamed the house down for 40mins!!

Is that the one on 22nd May in Edinburgh? I think I might be going to that one. It's the day my folks get back from their holiday and I thought I was going to have to collect them from the airport, but they have decided against leaving their car at our house as we got our windscreen smashed a couple of weeks back. That means that they won't need picking up from the airport and I can come to the meet.

Phew that was a long way round explaining! I could have just said "yes I think I'll be there" LOL

Mummygow - can you make it to this one?

Report
RedTartanLass · 29/03/2006 10:11

Mawbron don't feel ill at all, although I am infectious apparently. However have been feeling pretty crap the last couple of weeks, but don't you always when you've got 2 wee babies who don't sleep the night!! Wink

Changing the subject slightly, is there a Scottish meet-up soon, as I really need to pop up and it would be great if it coincided with a meet-up.

Good tip Elf. I'll have to remember that! I'm going to take it bad when Johnny gets ill. He's not had as much as a sniffle and I know he can't possibly get through his childhood without being ill .....Sad

RTL - glad your first day back wasn't too bad. Not glad to hear about your shingles Shock. Do you feel unwell or is it just(!) a rash?

I was speaking to my (young, free and single) sister yesterday and telling her how great being a Mum is. I started gushing a bit (which is SO not me) and I even told her that I miss Johnny when he is asleep. I think she thinks I've lost the plot - but do you know what? I don't care! I'll have to make the most of it before he turns into a toddler who I would gladly sell on ebay ShockWink

Thanks for all the good wishes, 1st day back was fine, much easier than being at home with 2 wee ones!! The only thing is it's a political nightmare at the moment with redundancies, discrimination etc!!

Anyway I was "showing off" this mega rash I've got to a colleague, who recoiled in shock and said "That's Shingles!!!" Went to docs and I do have shingles, have been signed off a couple of weeks!! I didn't have 1 day sick during the whole of my pregnancy!!

It's a massive government department, so they wont even miss me!!The only thing is there is big union meetings etc going on this week. I've just joined recently as have 95% of the office Shock

Anyway hope all the wee ill babies are feeling better.

FOR BLOCKED NOSES : We were sold "normal saline nasal drops", it's a little bottle, only 10ml. We put one drop up Evie's nose as directed, she was sick (I think it forced all the gunk down the throat and she sicked it up) but the night we gave it to her, she was able to breathe through her nose again.
I was dubious but it worked a treat!

another reasonable night here Thomas woke at 5am for a feed then went back to sleep til 7.30, can't complain at that!!
Sweet potato goes down quite well here too, not keen on apple but loves carrot & swede. going to try brocoli next I think.
I was sorting Thomas's clothes yesterday and digging out the 6-9month ones and have come across a lovley top that I had forgotten he had been bought but it is a 3-6month and he is in it just... such a shame must get more organised. Blush

Joey's favourite is sweet potato and carrot, though he's getting rather partial to raspberry petit filous!

Slightly better night, though Joey now sounds like Darth Vader, with his blocked noseSmile
