Ditto the others ubw

I think fair enough chilli. I don't put bath pics on.

S can do 3 iccle steps. Yay. I was back at work today and I really missed him Sad

mumtomoley · 02/04/2012 22:30

argh just wrote long message and lost it.

In brief.. I haven't posted for months and it's just taken me a week and half to catch up on everything I've missed.
Congratulations outme I saw your news on facebook and it's what reminded me to come back on and see what you're all up to.

Sorry to hear the debrief wasn't all that glaikit. I'm thinking of requesting my notes too. I still get quite emotional thinking/talking about G's birth and think there is probably some stuff I need to work through before having another one. Not that we can afford another one anyway :(

Been back at work since mid january. I burst into tears as soon as I got to my desk on my first day back. Not the enthusiastic, professional return to work I had in mind really...!! but it's got better since then. I enjoy work more now than before I went off, but I do miss being at home with G and it makes me feel a bit sad/really jealous reading about the mums who are at home with their babies but you got to do what you got to do!

At nearly one G is toothless, still has night feeds, needs cuddling to sleep and quite often refuses point blank to eat his food. But, he also has an adorable cheeky grin, a happy go luck nature, and is very generous with his kisses and cuddles. He's also got the hang of walking and sometimes responds to 'no'. With all this in mind, he is of course, perfect. (especially right now when he's upstairs sleeping!)

I often think of the April ladies so now I am back at work I will endeavour to keep up to date with you all!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 03/04/2012 20:30

I hope you were able to enjoy today Chilli Smile

I've just done a run , but I am cancelling that out by sipping tea and popping mini eggs into my mouth. They're so good though .......

Baby I actually used the walker today and was more than able to walk along with it and control it. I have a sneaky feeling he could do it all on his own if he could be bothered to try Grin

Oh and the poor little thing got stung twice by a wasp this afternoon - he howled Sad Luckily he got over it quite quickly - i think the lure of his dinner helped.

Since ds2 was about 9mo he has had what we thought was reoccurring impetigo on his ear. Today we finally managed to see the dermatologist while it was active and she has diagnosed a cold sore, not impetigo as advised by the GP. Am gutted as he has got it for life. However the outbreaks aren't as common as they used to be and the dermatologist has prescribed an oral medicine which should nip any future outbreaks in the bud.

Nice to see you Moley Smile

Can't believe my baby is 1 this month Shock

On other MN PN threads we put on updated lists around birthday times, if I have time tomorrow I may find out birthday list, with apologies to those who've already turned 1.

It's birthday time! H has wolfed his scrambly hegs and we're off to London Zoo later, fingers crossed the weather holds Confused

OutMeAndDie · 05/04/2012 15:38

Happy birthday h

Starshaped · 05/04/2012 18:48

Happy Birthday H Smile

It's been glorious here today, so hope the weather was kind to you at the zoo.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 06/04/2012 07:52

Hope you had a fab day at the zoo Cycle, and happy belated birthday to H [busmile]

In a moment of 'oh shit what do I buy I for his birthday?' I have managed to purchase the whole of ELC. At least the more expensive things were 3 for 2 and then the other things had money off plus I had a 20% off code (which is MONKEY btw).

I have a day of keeping the boys amused while dh starts to prepare the bathroom for the new suite. It the not too distant future I will have a bathroom upstairs - hurrah. Although it will be slow going as dh had an accident at work last week (he fell off of a roof, not as dramatic as it sounds but he has deep and extensive bruising from his bum to his ankle), and his ability to move is rather restricted.

What is everyone else up to?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 06/04/2012 07:52

Look at these [busmile]

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 06/04/2012 07:54

How strange, it didn't come up in my first post, but then appeared when I made the second post? [buconfused]

OutMeAndDie · 08/04/2012 19:58

Happy Easter. Nji. S is walking. Yay.

NotBobbysGirl · 09/04/2012 01:50

Happy Easter all [busmile]

And happy belated birthdays to H and S :)

Well this time last Easter I had just given birth to R!! Feeling very sentimental about the whole thing!

I'm having similar "oh shit" moment re: birthday pressies ILTMI so far haven't bought anything and still not sure exactly what I will buy!? Any suggestions? We still have a million things from Christmas that she hardly looks near so it seems wasteful to go and buy a load of other stuff?! Hope that doesn't make me seem stingy, I just hate to waste money.

Nice to see you again Moley :)

So where has everyone else gone, we're not tearing through the threads like we used to!? At this rate the next one will be entitled "Here comes OutMe's new arrival"

Speaking of which yay for S walking! R is cruising like a good 'un but the balance just isn't there yet for independant steps although she'll do a good few holding hands. She has however turned into a complete diva over the last couple of weeks, everything is a tantrum when she doesn't get her own way! Guessing she takes after her mummy then! Oh and tooth number 3 has finally arrived, so that may account for some of the stropping!!

JKSLtd · 09/04/2012 07:57

Happy Easter all, went away for 1 night, not much sleep had as DS2 was up for hours in the middle of the night, lovely.
Bliss to be back in my own bed last night.

Happy bleated birthdays to those I've missed :)

DD desperate to walk, but still isn't crawling, cruising, pulling up, getting into sitting from lying down or even rolling Hmm She has been grumpy the last few weeks too - seen some rather worrying signs of a temper! Grin Shock

We aren't really getting DD anything for her birthday, will put some money in her bank account & I've got a pink ride-on thing we won at a Christmas raffle I put aside as well as a doll I bought with her Christmas money but haven't given her yet so she has something to open - for her brothers to see really not for her.
We're planning to go to our usual playground after school on the day with cake and maybe a balloon, again really so the boys see she's had a birthday. (alight contrast to major efforts for DS1's 1st birthday, oops!)

We have got a something for the garden. It's called a bounce zone from elc. It says age 2 + but he's on the move already and we will supervise. My dm has bought him a happy land train set. Dmil has bought him an activity table. My dn has bought him a pop up playhouse.

A also strops when I tell him no.

I'm 16 weeks today. Can't wait to find out what kitten %232 is so people can stop guessing.

Hurrah for tooth nbg

ecuse · 09/04/2012 11:47

Hi everyone. We've had no internet for 5 days - nightmare! Am so internet-dependent, I had no idea!

We've had a quiet Easter. Were supposed to be doing nice things with friends but J has D&V again. Third bout in 6 weeks - beginning to wonder if we're doing something wrong. Just about to take her to doctor. This is her fourth day of barely eating and she seems like she's losing weight. I can see her teeny ribs Sad.

Think we're going to buy her one of those trikes with a long parent handle for her birthday. Thanks for code, ILTMIMI, will see if ELC have any.

We have cruising here but not walking. But she did stand unsupported for about 5 seconds her last night so it's all excitement here.

GlaikitFizzog · 09/04/2012 13:07

Are any other babies refusing to eat? I'm lucky if I get b to eat a banana and a slice of toast a day. he'll have a weetabix in the morning then nothing substantial for the rest of the day. he's still having 3 bottles a day. but point blank refuses any of the soups casseroles or anything I make for him. he'll eat anything we give him from our plates. is it just a stubborn phase?

OP posts:
chillikat · 09/04/2012 16:01

I've not got a great eater Fizz. Breakfast is usually ok and she'll eat a good slice of fruit toast or teacake at lunchtime but anything else is a bit hit and miss, usually miss and hitting the floor. Food from our plates is usually slightly more interesting but not much. I worry it's effecting her sleep - not been great again for the last week or so :(

In other news I'm back to work tomorrow and M's at nursery with DH doing drop offs in the morning and I pick her up at lunchtime. I wasn't concerned as it's mornings only until I picked her up on Thursday and she was in a right state having refused lunch and probably hungry. I gave her a BF when I picked her up and she was fine then but I'm worrying now that she might refuse breakfast too - new surroundings, etc. and be hungry all morning. I'm not leaving milk as she can easily go without for the morning. That, coupled with lack of sleep - she woke at 5.30 this morning and wouldn't go back to sleep til 7am which is when I'll be getting up tomorrow, and I'm in a foul mood snapping at both her and DH. He's taken her out for a drive to try and get her to have a (late) nap as a walk in the pram failed when she started screaming. I took her out and found that DH had caught her leg up in the strap. She then refused to go back in and I ended up carrying her home - I need a sling for times like this.

[sigh] Sorry for the epic moan. I'm sure she'll be fine at nursery after a few days. Maybe she'll learn to eat better too. I want a Wine and an early night.

OutMeAndDie · 09/04/2012 17:03

A loves his trike ecuse

Hope tomorrow goes ok chilli

OutMeAndDie · 09/04/2012 17:25

Not sure how s became a!

Starshaped · 09/04/2012 18:06

Good luck tomorrow chilli - hope it goes well for you both and that you get a decent night's sleep.

Hope J is ok too Ecuse, tis horrid when they're poorly :(

We seem to have the opposite problem with food at the moment. DD is a little scoffaloterus. She'll eat anything! She's really active though and looks pretty lean but but I'm a bit worried about overfeeding her. Does anybody know how many grams of pasta constitutes a portion size for a baby for instance?

Oh, and huzzah for S walking Outme! [busmile]

GlaikitFizzog · 09/04/2012 18:25

Tried a different approach tonight and tried a ellas kitchen pouch. I'm now wearing it! I think its the spoon.
I've given him some cherry toms bread sticks and cheese. and he is giving them a lick. what are we doing wrong????????

OP posts:
Fraktal · 09/04/2012 18:26

I'm here but we have family visiting. Ugh.

M is so nearly walking - I can't wait! He's a fab little swimmer now too. He eats when he wants to but still has night feeds - with you there moley, nice to see you again - and when he's had enough he signs finished.

Birthday wise we are waiting to see whether the next house has a garden and my parents have promised stuff for that. We got human activity table and a huuuuge thing of blocks. Must organise his party.

I haven't been on here for ages as I lost you. Happy belated and upcoming birthdays! Good luck with returns to work and happy Easter holidays Grin
