MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 22/11/2011 14:03

Neither of those really take my fancy chul :( Thanks for looking though.

I have started making something for my friend's ds2 now so can't really be arsed to bake too. Haven't even washed up the frying pan and breadmaker tin from lunchtime yet

Chulita · 22/11/2011 14:09

Grin tsc I look forward to hearing all about it when you get back, sounds like a popcorn/pepsi moment!

Chulita · 22/11/2011 14:11

Yoghurt never lasts long in our house, I like it with banana and raisins. I might try those yoghurt muffins anyway, see if I can tempt S to eat something other than weetabix.

Chulita · 22/11/2011 14:26

muffins
cake

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 22/11/2011 14:57

Mmm that cake looks good! Thanks!

Will have to wait though as I'm going to my friend's soon so don't have the hour and a quarter I'd need to make and cook it.

DesperateHousewife21 · 22/11/2011 16:31

chulita hope your future scans go ok must be quite worrying esp when they were talking amongst themselves about pre term labour Confused

I had a good day with my sister watched a film. D had an hours nap although had to re settle him in the middle of it but he's been happier for it. Then I took him to the park but had to come back as it started raining and it's pitch black. Could have stayed out a lot longer we were both having fun!

Woodlands · 22/11/2011 17:22

Poor you chulita, spd sounds so miserable.

I took J to the playground after nursery but he just lay on the ground and wailed till I put him back in the pushchair. I then took him round Sainsbury's and he was good as gold! strange child

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 22/11/2011 18:13

Forgot to say that, sorry chul, I hope you can get some help from the doctors.

E has taken a turn for the worse and is asleep in bed already Shock :(

Gracie123 · 22/11/2011 19:08

I know I'm probably too late with the recipes but I've made these before and they were delish.

Chulita sorry about your scan. I'll pray that everything is okay. I'm not sure if you remember but we were told all sorts with DD (even that she was unconscious) but she's absolutely fine.

SPD sucks. Can you get some good painkillers? Or are they being all rubbish about what you can have in pregnancy?

Gracie123 · 22/11/2011 19:09

Forgot to mention, I usually use dried fruit (it plumps up nicely whilst baking and doesn't make soggy patches in the muffin).

I've not tried it with fresh, but the recipe does say you can, so it might work?

WhatSheSaid · 22/11/2011 19:15

I might make those muffins later today with dd1..she's very into baking at the mo... we don't have frozen raspberries but I could use frozen blueberries instead.

chul sorry to hear about the spd and the scan stuff. Hope it all sorts itself out (well i know spd probably won't sort itself out but I hope you get some good drugs/treatment for it)

tsc pregnant? Wink

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 22/11/2011 19:34
Shock

Have you been enjoying 'free entertainment' for NoFunVember tsc Shock

Wink
Chulita · 22/11/2011 19:53

Grin mlisc I thought the same thing!

gracie was it you who mentioned the withdrawal thing with your ds? I'm a bit worried about that wrt painkillers but have a GP appt tomorrow so will try and get the ball rolling on something.

Gracie123 · 22/11/2011 20:42

Yes, but I was taking paracetamol, codeine and voltarol, at nearly four times the recommended dosage several times a day. As long as you don't get an incompetent dick for a consultant I'm sure he'll manage to prescribe something in a reasonable dose.

To be honest the tens machine helped a lot, but the best thing was bed rest; difficult with a one year old Sad

I'd also like to point out that DS was absolutely fine once they knew what was wrong, put him on morphine and weaned him off over 48 hours. It was because the consultant had given me medication without putting it on my notes that they couldn't work out what was wrong.

It was only because the paediatrician accused me of taking illegal drugs that I said 'I'm only taking what the consultant gave me!' and everyone looked confused. 'what has he given you?' empty my handbag to looks of horror on everyones faces.

It was horrible, but such a relief to know what was wrong.

They said there would be no lasting effects, but looking back I wander if that could have had an effect on his ASD? I really hope not Sad

viksam · 22/11/2011 21:02

chu I didnt fully understand the reason for your scan earlier? I have another scan on friday to check the placenta has moved enough, spd is horrid, im not sure thats what i have as the pain doesnt come on as quickly as that but boy do i know later on if i have over done it. As u say its a killer in bed, turning over and getting up, horrid, do u use anything special, pillow etc? This baby is currently pushing right up against my ribs, its mighty uncomfortable!
memph no name yet, Franklin seems to be the only one we semi agree on, its so hard, if it was a girl there would be no problem
tsc how far away does granny live? How u feeling now?
mylife poor E, lets hope he has a nice long sleep and feels better in the morning, hows babyboy?
cake stacur both quiet, everything ok?
dh sounds like u and D have had a lovely day!

Trudyla · 22/11/2011 21:11

Earlier today I sat on the sofa with F snoozing on me. M came on the sofa as well and snuggled up against me and kept kissing F. Awwwww.

viksam · 22/11/2011 21:20

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh thats sooooo sweet trudy, cant wait for moments like that! How do u feel in yourself, i was horrific for the first 6 weeks after D, is it as bad second time around.

memphis83 · 22/11/2011 22:11

viksam I love that name, my friend from school has just called her son that! If we have another boy I want to call him Ayrton, and DH agrees!
tsc hope next week goes ok, but cant wait to hear how it goes!
trudyla how are you getting on? that is so sweet about M kissing F!
chulita when is your next scan?
We have been painting tonight after L went to bed, he has acted up all day which isnt like him at all, just moaning and throwing his head back, he has shit for England today and has farted all day so im thinking now it was belly ache, he ate a whole plate of roast chicken dinner I made I was so pleased his eating has got so much better!

CakeandRoses · 23/11/2011 00:06

Oh chul will keep everything crossed for you that things turn out to be smooth sailing.

bloody crapola about the spd. hope you get some decent pain relief.

been busy today - worked in city then cinema (twilight) tonight. catch up properly tomo. night 'yall.

DesperateHousewife21 · 23/11/2011 08:46

Morning peeps

D slept til half 12 last night then woke at 5/6ish then got up at 7.

Ive got a funeral to go to today, it starts at 12 and takes around half an hour to get there but really dont know what to do about D's nap. He wont go to sleep much before 11 I dont think so he might have to nap in the car but it wont be a decent one. Can just see its going to be a day of trying to keep him amused and him being tired and whingy.
Ive got a bloody nice size 6 dress from River Island to wear though Wink

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 23/11/2011 09:06

So sick of this bloody virus. Will it ever leave us alone? :(
And now dh got up today feeling poorly. It's bad enough looking after two little ones when they're ill. God Help Me.

Woodlands · 23/11/2011 13:08

My friend who lives round the corner has posted on FB that she has flu. Should I offer to look after her DS (18 months) this afternoon? I have looked after them both before but only for half an hour and it was a bit stressy. Plus I wouldn't really be able to take them out without a double buggy, and how would I get him? I would like to offer to help but am a bit scared! I suppose I could put J in the backpack and her son in the buggy. Or he could walk with reins (would be too paranoid with someone else's kid without!).

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 23/11/2011 14:02

You don't have to take them anywhere woodlands. It would be kind of you to offer but only if you're comfortable doing it - she might appreciate you taking her/her ds something to eat later instead?

So many people say they have 'flu when they just have a cold/virus though. If she really honestly does have 'flu, she'll really be struggling if she has no family help

Woodlands · 23/11/2011 14:15

Not sure it is proper flu tbh - I had it once and it was awful. It was in the run up to my wedding and I remember the doorbell rang and I knew it was a delivery of something exciting, but I couldn't make myself get up to answer the door.

Anyway, I have offered and she says thanks but she's feeling a bit better now. Have reiterated the offer but am kinda glad!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 23/11/2011 14:25

Well there you go then, she hasn't got 'flu!
