Yes, but I was taking paracetamol, codeine and voltarol, at nearly four times the recommended dosage several times a day. As long as you don't get an incompetent dick for a consultant I'm sure he'll manage to prescribe something in a reasonable dose.
To be honest the tens machine helped a lot, but the best thing was bed rest; difficult with a one year old 
I'd also like to point out that DS was absolutely fine once they knew what was wrong, put him on morphine and weaned him off over 48 hours. It was because the consultant had given me medication without putting it on my notes that they couldn't work out what was wrong.
It was only because the paediatrician accused me of taking illegal drugs that I said 'I'm only taking what the consultant gave me!' and everyone looked confused. 'what has he given you?' empty my handbag to looks of horror on everyones faces.
It was horrible, but such a relief to know what was wrong.
They said there would be no lasting effects, but looking back I wander if that could have had an effect on his ASD? I really hope not
