No pain any more touch wood, just muffled hearing. Thanks for asking :)

It's hard to tell whether I'd have done something else or not. If he looked like he was hungry/trying to eat it but struggling maybe I would, but if he just didn't look bothered he's probably just not hungry. What about trying a bit of supper before bed - weetabix/toast/cereal or something?

viksam · 21/11/2011 18:08

Thanks woods I have always been a really bad speller.
I just couldnt tell if he wanted anything else or not, maybe i will try him with some toast before bed, you never know it just might be the magic solution!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 21/11/2011 18:42

I've just got the boys out of the bath and offered littlest one his bottle and he firmly shook his head, said no and walked off! I wonder if I can use this spate of illness to wean him off his last bottle?

Takeaway for tea. I'm in no fit state/mood to cook and clear up tonight

Chulita · 21/11/2011 19:34

Thanks woodlands it was making my teeth itch but I'm too polite to say Grin Reminds me that I need to get S some rains Wink too at some point.

Glad your ear's not turned into anything nasty mlisc.

viks I'd have offered weetabix but that's only because S wakes up hungry at 3am and cries forever!

Speaking of which, S is going through the pickiest phase wrt food. He doesn't eat anything at mo apart from shreddies, fruit loaf and weetabix. Everything else just gets spat out or a solid "no", he's been like this now for about 2 weeks and it's getting very boring. (He will eat fruit every now and then)

CakeandRoses · 21/11/2011 19:36

ha, that's funny as i think it was me who started the reigns thing and then realised and was wondering whether to say something. i've been really cringing as i'm usually a good speller and a pedant too.

viksam · 21/11/2011 19:38

Shit mylife i feel the same about cooking, but skint so just something shit for tea for me as dh is still out. D did have some toast but as bedtime approached he got more and more ansy untill full blown cry out, i really think its that premolar still trying to break through but who really knows. I just hope he doesnt get poorly again, i could REALLY do without that.
This baby is moving around so sooooo much and i feel a bit stomach crampy like i need the loo, sorry tmi! I think i might just have toast for tea.
Regarding weaning babyboy off his last bottle, whats the deal there, do u think its time to do that as D has only been having three or four oz for a while now, if that really and i have also been wondering if i should bother but obviously im very paranoid about night time fall out if he doesnt have anything.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 21/11/2011 20:02

I offered dh a meal that I could whip up quickly and he said he didn't fancy it so I got the pizza menu out Wink

Although it still hasn't bloody turned up so I'm almost finished the pint of homebrew I got out ready [classy bird emoticon]

Vik I won't push the matter, I'm not arsed either way tbh. But if it becomes convenient to drop it and it's his decision I'll happily go with it.

DesperateHousewife21 · 21/11/2011 20:08

woodlands I've been spelling it both ways because I wasn't sure which was the right one, thanks for clearing it up though!

vik D will sometimes turn his nose up at dinner, if he doesn't want it for whatever reason he will just drop it on the floor. I did sausage casserole with new pots and green beans and he gulped down the pots and had a few bits of sausage but that was it. I know he was hungry because he'd been whinging for food for an hour before. If he doesn't eat much dinner I give him yog/ fruit and hope for the best. I don't think he wakes up hungry though because he will go back to sleep without me having to give him anything. Hope that makes sense!

viksam · 21/11/2011 20:10

Its been 8 whole hrs since i ate, i think i over hungry and therefore not able to detect that i am actually hungry, everything i think about turns my stomach.
Hope ur pizza is nice mylife and it has turned up by now.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 21/11/2011 21:06

Hope you've had something decent to eat vik. It's not good for you or the baby to skip meals.

viksam · 21/11/2011 21:19

I had beans on toast................its something i suppose. To bed for me, heres to a good night for everyone xx

Dylthan · 21/11/2011 21:45

Sorry to hear there are so many poorly people on the thread :( I hope everyone is feeling better soon. X

I've finally got my appointment through with the psychiatrist. It's going to be on Thursday. I know I need and really want the help but I'm so nervous now its come round and feel like I don't want to go.

Gracie123 · 21/11/2011 22:32

Dylthan - you'll be fine. I've been seeing psychiatrist and psychologist for well over a year now and they are both lovely except when they try to discuss sex with me [repressed emoticon] Grin

I tripped and landed on the blade of my Magimix which I was carrying today. I'm VERY squeamish with blood and cuts etc... So was trying not to pass out whilst cleaning and steri stripping it before putting a bandage on. Managed all this before collapsing on kitchen floor.

DS very deliberately took a packet of biscuits off the table and started grinding them into the floor one by one. Angry

I know, he was scared and just wanted to make me get up, but I really couldn't, so I let him. When he'd finished he asked if he should sit on the naughty step so I nodded.

It was over 10 minutes before DH got home and found him still sitting there and DD sat next to him in a dirty diaper sad]

Feel like the worst mum ever.

Woodlands · 21/11/2011 22:39

oh gracie, how horrid for you! aww your ds sounds so cute.

is it a bad cut? you poor thing.

Gracie123 · 21/11/2011 22:49

As I stood up the blade was still in my hand. I had to pull it out.

Weirdly the blood stopped quite quickly after I stuck it together. It's deep, but a testimony of how am sharp the blades are as it's clean.

DS is ASD and has a strange way of showing that he cares...

DesperateHousewife21 · 22/11/2011 07:15

Sounds really nasty gracie bless your ds though knowing he'd done something naughty.

Our night wasn't too bad, he woke at 9ish but then went til 3:15 then 5:45 I think he was thirsty, then we got up at 6:45.

My sister is coming over today with her youngest who is 4 months. We're going to try watch a film.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 22/11/2011 07:57

Morning all

:( Gracie what a horrible afternoon for you. You are not a bad mother - you couldn't have done anything differently so don't beat yourself up. Hope you feel better about it this morning.

Dylth I know exactly what you mean, but the anticipation is often worse than the reality. Get the first appointment 'under your belt' and the rest will be fine.

I kept having coughing fits last night which I thought very unfair for dh, so I slept on the couch from 11.30pm until ds1 got up crying at 4.20am. Gave him paracetamol and got him back to bed (but not without a fight) then went back to bed myself.

So, ds1 still seems poorly but not as bad. Ds2 seems a bit better. I feel better than I did yesterday. Fingers crossed we're on the mend at last!

memphis83 · 22/11/2011 08:16

gracie I think you did amazingly well! I wouldnt have been able to clean up and bandage myself I would have rang dh in tears probably screaming too!
mlic hope your feeling better!
viksam nothing wrong with beans on toast every now and then, we are totally unpacked apart from my shoes and bags, and one box of stuff that doesnt have a home (the clutter drawer stuff and the last bits that didnt have a home) we arent decorating the living room or our bedroom until the new year, I have decorated both toilets. they downstairs one is a tiny toilet it was vile, all in yellow pine, loo seat, shelf, towel ring, miror, roll holder and blind and 3 pictures! there were 24 screws in the wall of it it made my teeth itch going in there so I had to sort it! the kitchen will take a week or so, as its silk paint its taking 3 coats to cover the peach walls

I feel so tired I spoke too soon with L sleeping well, I actually had to get him out the cot and cuddle him to calm him last night, think its teeth and the fact that there are no street lights here after 11 it is so dark, he has never had sucha dark house at night!

Gracie123 · 22/11/2011 09:05

Thanks all. Hand just feels very bruised. No toddler groups for us today as I can't push the buggy Sad

Memphis - I have three large boxes of crap useful items that we still haven't unpacked from our house move in the beginning of august. Everyone has it! Wink

viksam · 22/11/2011 11:17

Regarding the bad spelling, I just followed everyone else! That's my excuse anyhow, haha!
D wasn't as bad as he could have been last night, he woke at around 3ish didn't take much settling, then woke on and off for the rest of the night but I was so tired I desperately wanted to stay asleep so I pretty much did. He woke at 7.20 in the end, I was up for work before him!
Work is knackering today, after a week off I'm not used to being on my feet for as long or doing so much, really need to take it easy now, only two weeks left here so not too bad.
I have decided to take D's bottle away, he drank out of his dodie cup this morning and had lots of milk on his cereal so I shall give him the cup again tonight. I hope it's the right thing to do, just don't want him to associate bottle with himself when the baby comes, no matter how I choose to feed I'm definitely going to introduce a bottle immediately so dh can feed him too.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 22/11/2011 12:45

Anyone got a nice muffin/cake recipe which uses natural yogurt? I have a 500ml pot which will have to go in the bin if I don't use it today. I have a few rasperries in the fridge and a single banana in the fruit bowl but no other fruit. I have dark chocolate in the cupboard but no cocoa.

Can anyone help?

Chulita · 22/11/2011 13:07

I'll go and have a look mlisc, I've made them before so I must have. I was going to tell you off for sleeping on the couch last night but then thought that it's exactly the sort of thing I'd do rather than kick healthy DH out of bed.

gracie sorry to hear about your blade incident yesterday, sounded horrible. I've sliced myself many a time washing those things up, they're lethal! Hope it heals up quickly.

viks make sure you eat little and often or you'll get low blood sugar and be even more knackered! Good luck removing the bottle!

I'm really pissed off, my SPD is flaring up already and I'm only 23+5 :( I walked to the shops yesterday and I was in so much pain by the time I got home, then all evening and all night. The last two nights have been agony in bed everytime I roll over I nearly squeak it hurts so much and last night I was up with s 4 times so each time I got up it was awful. I'm going to see a GP and try and get referred to someone cos I can't keep this up knowing it's only going to get worse...

In other news I had another growth scan today to check the placental lakes/bleeds and his growth and I've now got 3 bigger areas rather than the 2 smaller ones so I've got another scan booked in for supposedly 28 weeks although it's going to be 30ish when they can fit me in. I'm a bit worried though cos they started bandying around terms like pre-term labour and the like Confused

memphis83 · 22/11/2011 13:12

mlic I cant help, adding natural yoghurt to a cake recipe surely makes it remotely healthy Grin but what are rasperries?
gracie good to know you still have these boxes, I have a spare cupboard and drawer in the kitchen that I dont want to fill yet (hopes for a food processor after xmas) but I will not decant the junk into here!
viksam only 2 weeks left at work? time has really flown! Are you decided on a name (obviously if it has been discussed recently I wouldnt have seen it!)
Im so tired, L would nap this morning, he has filled 6 stinky nappies and now gone down, after ive dosed myself up on coffee so I have no hope of a nap, DH wants to go into the city and see the christmas lights tonight but im so tired.

Chulita · 22/11/2011 13:14

Dried cherry muffins (chocolate chips if no cherries) or yoghurt and honey muffins I've got mlisc
