viksam · 02/01/2012 05:33

OMG stac that's great news, so u could be next then! Do u mean when ur period comes next month? I know u had assistance last time, will u go for help this time?
F fed at at 12.50 and 4.50, brilliant, I've just settled him(hopefully) for another few hrs. I'm currently in the spare bed in his room and I'm afraid to say enjoying My space far too much, haven't slept on My own for years and i t's liberating, how bad is that! To My knowledge nothing from D yet tonight either so a rather successful night all round!

WhatSheSaid · 02/01/2012 06:56

Nice to see you back stac I bet a fiver you're pregnant

vik I always sleep best by myself, just having the whole bed to myself is lovely!

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/01/2012 08:09

stac we'll be preg buddies!! I stopped taking my pill 3 weeks ago so fingers crossed Grin

D slept solidly from 8-2 in his bed which is a huge improvement for him.

vik you must rest more, don't go lifting anything heavy again get dh to do it.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 02/01/2012 08:40

15 mins on Zumba, 15 mins on Just Dance and lots of bowling on the wii yesterday and my arse cheeks are killing Grin

My computer is doing what yours did a while ago chul and is taking froever to produce what I type on mn. FB is fine - it's just mn Confused What did you do to fix it? I can't be arsed posting atm as it takes too long

WhatSheSaid · 02/01/2012 08:43

MN is really slow loading pages for me at the moment too. Other sites seem fine.

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/01/2012 09:54

Lol mlisc your arse cheeks. Must have been quite a work out!

I think we're going to the zoo later after Ds nap, it's v sunny so should be a nice last day of dh being here.

MalibuStac · 02/01/2012 10:07

viks we where thinking we would just go with the flow this time and hope for the best. Yes when my period comes we'll start ttc. How you keeping? Don't blame you enjoying the bed to yourself I'd be happy for 1 night.

Yay ttc buddy dh fingers crossed for us both.

wss my friend thinks I might be but because I have pcos I'm trying (unsucessfully) not to get my hopes up. If I am I will gladly honour the fiver Grin

mlisc is it zumba on the wii? I'm ashamed to say I've used mine once but as you know I loved zumba, great exercise. Are you still shredding?

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 02/01/2012 10:10

The pages do take ages to load too, but when I type I watch the letters going...r e a l l y s l o w l y for minutes after I've finished actually typing. It's infuriating Angry Angry

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 02/01/2012 10:20

Yes stac, Zumba on the wii - I really like it! And at £20 for the disc it's much cheaper than going to the classes. No haven't shredded for ages

Chulita · 02/01/2012 11:02

I think I cleared the cache and restarted the web browser. It's so irritating though, deffo stopped me posting cos just cba to wait for it to pop up only to find a typo three words in...

stac good luck! I was just promising myself 'never again' last night, but hope it works out for you :)

viks I second dh on the resting, take it easy for a couple of weeks and you'll be doing yourself a big favour!

We had another awful night last night, S up twice before midnight and then L up for over an hour at 2.30 and both up at 6. DH and I are absolutely shattered, I went back to bed at half 7 for 2 hours but feel rough. Second day in a row we've not taken the children out and they're bouncing off the walls but neither of us have the energy to go anywhere. I think we'll go for a walk after naptime, we'll have to or someone's going to explode...

Chulita · 02/01/2012 11:02

New thread anyone? quick before spirael thinks of a rhyme Grin

viksam · 02/01/2012 14:51

I wana do Zumba when im fit enough. Theres a class by us but it clashes with DH's football night. I have just agreed that he can go play football tomorrow. He will be leaving at 5.30, i shall be picking D up from the cm at 6 (he's back there a day and a half a week from tomorrow) so will have an hour with both of them alone for the first time. Its gota be done, im sure it will be fine Hmm
mylife hope ur arse cheeks are better!
chu sounds exhausting, a walk might be just what you all need though, its nice and sunny down here is it nice up there?
U guys are right about resting, i do need to chill out a bit, its hard though as there are two baskets of washing that need putting away, floors need cleaning/vacing etc etc etc, if i dont do anything it will all mount up and get on top of me and make me miserable.
Gona take the tree and decs down tomorrow, cant wait actually they are a pain in the arse now. We need the space.
Just brought some turkey mince for D, he doesnt get any poultry at all as he doesnt like the texture of it, any ideas what i can do with it, thinking i'll just make something like cottage pie and he may not even notice the difference.

memphis83 · 02/01/2012 16:31

viksam what about making little patty/burgers for him? he could have it with a tomato sauce or with beans?cleaning can wait, these precious first few weekswonthappen again enjoy them, rest and ignore the washing or get your dh to do it?

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 02/01/2012 17:40

You've got a slow cooker haven't you vik? I hate chicken so can sympathise with him - what about doing some chicken peices in a stew in the slow cooker with a load of root vegetables/chopped tomatoes etc. It might help him get used to poultry

cba to write/wait any more :(

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/01/2012 17:51

Had a nice day at the zoo except D was really cold by the end so was crying.

Don't want to go back to normal tomo it's been nice having dh here to help out and talk to.

Hope D has another good night tonight. His nap was just under an hour so not too bad.

memphis83 · 02/01/2012 18:53

dh I will be glad to go back to normal tomorrow, when dh is at work im less inclined to eat rubbish, he is doing his HGV licence for the next week so wont be hellishly early mornings!

L is being so good recently, he is teething with his furthest back molars (eventhough still only 2 at the front bottom!) his cheeks are bright red and he is pulling his ears constantly he is sleeping better than ever (watch him not sleep after I have said that!) and is still so happy.

The first day of my health kick today, I went out and refused chips with my omlette! and I have been shopping and filled my fridge with veg and fish to steam, wholemeal pasta and rice, I have to lose weight I have never ever weighed this, I was only 4 pound heavier than this at 40 weeks pg, made worse by my wii telling me I had lost weight and weighed 9.7 stone (i knew it was lying I would be a size 8 if I weighed that) then I got on the scales at boots and weighed 10 stone fucking 12 pounds!! so by the 28th of Jan I will weigh a max of 10.5 I mean business this time, I bought a dress that is too small and I will wear it in a months time!

WhatSheSaid · 02/01/2012 19:08

Dh isn't back till the 10th! Which is quite normal here as it's the summer holidays too so loads of people take extended breaks over Christmas/new year. He is away Sat-Tue though as he has a friend over from the UK he is showing the sights to for a few days.

I'm on a health kick too memphis. I'm going walking every day for about 40 mins (separate from walking anywhere with the dcs which I'm doing too). I'm doing a vague eat-fewer-carbs-especially-sugar thing as well.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 02/01/2012 19:59

I've resorted to writing on my phone it's quicker! so excuse typos please, it's really small writing so I might miss one or two!

Memph if it's any consolation you certainly don't look 10st 12lbs! I am currently weighing in at 10st 1lb which is within healthy bmi (I'm only 5' 4") but I would like to tone up massively and get down to between 9st & 9st 7lbs. I'm not going to do anything drastic diet-wise except cut out crisps and increase activity. I did a workout on 'active' on the wii this morning and have been bowling on it this afternoon.

I can't bloody wait to get back to normal - I love my husband very much but he has been ill since boxing day and has therefore barely left the house. I have had no breaks from the kids at all (except getting to stay in bed one morning which was nice) and quite frankly I'm looking forward to actually doing things again. And I'm eager to establish my new routine of ds1 starting pre school - that's going to take a little while to get used to!

Hope they sleep better for you tonight chul.

Glad your ceiling stayed put tsc!

When you home cake?

memphis83 · 02/01/2012 20:42

mlic for my health I need to be below 10, I am convinced after talking to my mum that the pain in my back is actually my kidneys as the blood disorder affects my kidneys at times but not made better by extra weight, im not going to actually 'diet' but im not eating huge amounts of chocolates between meals, i make a meal for 4 plus at least one garlic baguette for the two of us every night and 2 donuts everyday for brekkie, I bought just dance 3 as I have 2 and read a review that you are more active with that than on zumba ive just done the equivilent of an hours swimming on it and had a fuck awful stir fry followed by some juice, the big thing for me is I drink less than half a litre a day, please keep me strong!!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 02/01/2012 21:31

this looks lush - looks nicer than stir fry

Woodlands · 02/01/2012 23:22

First day of my healthy plan today - I don't normally do this in the new year as I think it's a depressing time of year, but am sick of not fitting into my size 12s any more. I got quite slim last summer what with all the BFing and also doing lots of exercise on mat leave, but since being back at work and with the dark evenings I don't get so much exercise.

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/01/2012 07:59

The most exercise I've done this whole hol is walking round the zoo yesterday. We got rid of our wii, dh traded it in with a load of other things do he could upgrade to the newest Xbox but I kind of miss it now.

I pledge to do more walking just as soon as the weather improves a bit.

D woke at half 10 and half 11 last night, prob because of the tornado strong wind outside, he faffed around between 4 and half 6 so not a great night.

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/01/2012 12:06

D has been asleep for about 2 hours Confused hope he's ok, he's on the sofa under a throw, v unlike him to go to sleep at 10. Hope he's not ill or anything.

Woodlands · 03/01/2012 12:55

I find they just surprise us sometimes with their sleep - the Friday before Christmas J had had a perfectly normal night's sleep and nap, but all afternoon from when he woke he just wanted to snuggle on our laps which is totally unlike him, and then he fell asleep on my lap at about 5.30ish. I was sure he must be coming down with something. Woke him at 6.15 and he went to bed at 8ish and slept fine and was fine the next day! Weird.
