vik he does look small bless him. Well he stayed in his bed til 11pm but he woke about 4 times before that. He's def going back to sleep quicker whereas before he'd wake around half 9 and not re settle at all do it is progress, I've just got to bite the bullet now and keep him in his bed all night.

We're going to MILs today for food and a catch up with dh's side.

WhatSheSaid · 27/12/2011 08:04

Grin at the pirate photoframe memphis, that is pretty random! I didn't get any weird gifts - I got nice smellies (mainly from Lush), chocolates and books, so all quite normal. One of the books, from dh, I actually read about 7 years ago but I won't tell him that - it was nice of him to try to find some interesting novels for me as he knows that's what I like.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 27/12/2011 08:41

I didn't get anything weird either. ds1 did - a book named 'The Gas we Pass - the story of farts' and an England rugby top aged 5-6 years from one of dh's relatives Hmm Thoughtful. Not. I'll put the top away for approximately 3 years a while and the 'fart' book will go in the bin. Disgusting.

memphis83 · 27/12/2011 08:41

wss nice of your dh to try, my dh got me a dvd i had told him I had asked my sister for so I got 2 of those but he went and got me an extra cd too, my sil also got me some elmo pants!
cakes I got some Joules baking stuff and there wasa code for £10 off at Joules when you spend £50 the code is BOOTS, if your interested!

Think L is going to have a lot of nappies today, the day that dh is out and i want to attempt shopping!

Chulita · 27/12/2011 09:13

wss that's horrible for your sister, I just hope she can feel safe in her home despite that happening.

memphis a pirate photo frame? v strange! Take a cork with you on the shopping trip Wink

dh how's he taken to the bed? S recently moved into a cot bed but we've left the sides on, if they both wake up L will open the door and he'll be off downstairs so until he's trustworthy on those we'll leave him in the cot (even though it's getting harder for me to get him out!)

I feel huge, absolutely huge, and I've still got to get to March :( I'm so over being pregnant and in pain, the next 12 weeks are going to drag...

Chulita · 27/12/2011 09:15

mlisc what's with that book? Confused I mean children are all interested in farts and stuff but seriously, you'd have to read it to him!
My SIL always sends S stuff that's a good few years too big for him, clutters up the house and it's always secondhand Tesco's that's neither to my taste nor in very good condition.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 27/12/2011 09:34

I know chul, he's three ffs. It has a picture of two people in the bath and air bubbles going 'plip, plip, plip' out of the water and stuff, it's AWFUL. It's gone in the bin. Silly woman.

And her response re the top? 'Well he's a big lad'. Erm, no, actually. He's less than average height for his age Confused

viksam · 27/12/2011 10:17

I didnt get anything weird i dont think, i got some PJ's and some lip balm and an atomiser and a boots voucher from M&D, very thoughtfull bits and pieces i thought. dh gave me an kindle!! and a voucher for amazon to down load some stuff onto it. Im dead chuffed with it but havent been arsed to put anything on yet. Also some of my favourite perfume and some other bits and bobs.
D woke at 5.30 after going through the night which is great, but his cough kept him awake then, so i have put him down for half hour..........i think i shall regret it later but he was so tired. He refused cerial etc this morning again so i did some eggy bread and he ate 3/4 of a round so he must be hungry.
TMI alert, i have been having some very slightly discoloured discharge yesterday and this morning, could be the start of something, i hope so!!
mylife a fart book for a 3yo, silly.
dh did he go into ur bed at 11?
chu I can hardly reach the far side of the cot, i have to heave bump over the side and kind of dangle to tuck anything in, a drop side would have been most welcome. D is defo not ready to come out of the cotbed. I feel so bad for you re the pain, are you taking paracetamol? March will come around really quickly i bet.
cake ur pics are so lovely, A is always smiling, i must post of D, dh always seems to do it so i dont need to.
memphis pirate frame is odd, as is snow globe.
Feeling Very tired today, i got up with D in the end at 6.40 so im starting to crash now, crunchy nuts and coffee are on the way!

Trudyla · 27/12/2011 11:56

Happy belated Christmas all.

Just a quickie from me. Both babies are napping, so I should be getting on with some stuff.

Just wanted to quickly tell viks about my experience with M's behaviour and pregnancy and new baby. I can honestly say that M seems like a different child since F has been here. Of course she has the odd tantrum and scream, but it's just like any other child has. No more of the constant screaming and anger. It is so, so great, I love spending time with her, she is cute and smiley and interested in everything, loves her baby brother and no where near the angry little girl I'd grown used to.

So it was either an odd coincidence of 9 months or it was really related to my pregnancy. She noticed changed, didn't know what to expect and behaved horribly. Now she knows what's going on and can relax. So viks, don't despair, yours might be the same!

Had a lovely Christmas. F seems to be getting better and less screamy and not in so much pain. He gives us the cutest smiles and is just gorgeous.

Don't really have time to respond to everyone so I hope a quick wave will do. I will catch up soon and then will name tag.

Laters.

viksam · 27/12/2011 14:17

Oh trudy thats great to hear, how lovely that you are seeing a different side to M. F sounds like hes coming through it and M sounds like a delight, Thank you for that, it does make a huge differance to hear how someone else in the same boat is doing. It is a worry how things will unfold but my immediate concern is when will i go into labour and how will D handle being farmed out. Now we have got through xmas day im not as worried as i was but its still unsettling. I have a hospital appointement on 29th (which im still hoping i wont make!) for a streach and scrape............MMmmmmmmmmmmm nice! hopefully that will start things off.

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/12/2011 16:31

chul vik yes he came in my bed at 11 because I just wanted the sleep last night even tho I feel knackered now. Tonight I'm going to keep him in his bed all night. It's now or never because dh is off work.

mlisc that book sounds horrible I'd bin it too.

I didn't get many presents as we just do presents for kids but step MIL always gets me things. A book called 'how to teach your baby to read' I have no intention of reading and nail files. Also a babyliss big hair which I'll prob attempt once and then wont be bothered again. Also some rubber wristwatches where u can take the watch face out so u can swap it to another coloured strap. Tbh I don't think I'll get any use out of any of them. I'm not being ungrateful I'd honestly prefer nothing and just Dylan having things.

memphis83 · 27/12/2011 19:53

dh I would love a big hair, everyone seems to rave about them on MN!but the watch soulds a bit odd.The year we stop getting gifts for adults in this family is the year I cancel christmas! I like being spoilt! Grin
mlic book sounds v odd!
viksam I really hope it does start you off, how long was labour with D?

Well it seems I got the strangest of presents then! I opened all of Ls presents today I was sick of them hanging around and he hasnt opened one present all xmas, when is everyone taking the decorations down? I want to take them down tomorrow as its officially over for us with dh back at work thursday, is this me being a Scrooge?

L keeps holding his wrist out like its hurt and wincing but he lets me touch it, not sure whats wrong, he has such fat wrists that if they were swollen i wouldnt tell! any ideas?

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 27/12/2011 21:24

After my lo's incident I would maybe get it checked out memph. I swear to you, he wasn't acting like a baby with a broken arm...he was using it, playing, letting me touch it. If you're worried then get him checked.

I love having my tree up ut am getting sick of not being able to put toys out of sight. I'll probably take it all down ust after New Year though, it's too early now.

viksam · 27/12/2011 22:46

Guys,
I think i might have to say............see you on the other side!!
Contracting every 10 or so mins so im thinking im in early labour. Got my TENS on and had some paracetamol and a nice shower, might try and go to bed.......Hmmmmm. D is coughing his guts up poor boy! Must go to him!! Bad timing!

WhatSheSaid · 27/12/2011 23:07

Omg vik how exciting!

Are you still at home? It can be quicker second time (apparently).

memphis we keep our decorations up till the 6th, I think that's the traditional date to take them down (12th night after Christmas or something)

WhatSheSaid · 28/12/2011 07:02

OMG vik that was QUICK! (Though it probably didn't feel that quick to you at the time).

CONGRATULATIONS. Fantastic news. Grin

WhatSheSaid · 28/12/2011 07:19

Come on everyone, WAKE UP, vik's had a baby!

Trudyla · 28/12/2011 07:47

Hooray - Congratulations viks I'm so pleased for you. And what a fantastic short labour. Xmas Envy

Now come on girl, give us some photos Xmas Grin

What a good boy, waiting till after Christmas but not too long. Well done.

Have you got a name yet? Where was D and how did he do?

Thinking of you (and fully expecting you having better things to do than answering all my questions)

Chulita · 28/12/2011 07:56

viksam congratulations! Grin that was bloody quick! Have a good rest, get your feet up and then upload some photos Wink well done!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 28/12/2011 08:15

Yaaaaaaaaaaaay Grin Thanks Grin Thanks

Congratulations vik!!!! Over the moon for you. How was the labour? Assuming is was relatively straight forward as it was so quick?

Big love xxx

viksam · 28/12/2011 08:25

Oh man, u don't know what it means to have u guys rooting for me and caring, having no family here is tough at these times. All was very straight forward, just gas and air. Small tear but not bad, baby's coughing up loads of mucus, D didn't do that. Don't know how D did, he did cry when we left him and I was broken hearted, just like I knew I would be. I shall await to hear off dh about D. Baby is absolutly amazingly wonderfully, I feel head over heals in love already, just gota sort the feeding out and all should be OK. Hoping to go home today, just gona see how things go though.
Hope ur all fine, guess my Decs will have to come down before the 28th in future.
Oh yeah he was 6lb 15oz. Bigger than his bro but still a tinker. Xx
