phew re his foot mlic hope the rest of your stay is uneventful
dh has asked for flying lessons too. should i be worried (in terms of future costs and flying lesson-widowism - i don't mean in the properly dead sense!)?
he's not even keen on flying anyway so i have no idea why he wants them - i'd probably enjoy them more!
how's things there today tsc? agree with the others, sounds like a fricking stalling tactic. you just need an answer about how he's going to pay towards his daughter's costs. should be a no brainer and nothing to discuss. hope you're not getting too stressed with the muppet.
working today but A is really bunged up and chesty (not sleeping at all either) so will try to get a docs appt for her later altho she won't like being picked up and then dropped back to nursery.
F is really making me laugh with his turn of phrase lately. This morning whilst cuddling a xmas Hamleys talking teddy 'This bear was mine when i was a tiny baby' erm, no. Then 'I'm going to take him to nursery' No. 'Just a tiny little bit please?' [puppy dog eyes] (what like an arm?) erm no!
oh and he's randomly learnt to spell 'Santa' altho no-one has taught him which has really puzzled me
it was actually a bit spooky to go into the shower after him and see 'santa' (he has those foam letters that cling to wet surfaces) along with his own name and 'dgo' (dog)
. was quite pleased he didn't do similar at Halloween and randomly spell 'Devil' or something!
dh is off for a three day training course tomo so away thurs and fri night. am praying A will be sleeping better.
some really lovely posts on the MN xmas roundup. really liked these two:
The children unwrap little stocking pressies, all covered in separate Santa paper, with messages on the cards, such as 'For working hard on your maths' or 'For being kind to Nanny'. And then potatoes, wrapped too, with messages like 'For getting stroppy with your brother again'! ajandjjmum
When we are tidying away the decorations, we write a little note to put in with them, saying what we hope for in the year ahead. It is lovely when you open the decorations box the next year and see what you have written. sunnytimer
Champagne, presents, a lovely walk, church (if I can remember the service time). Enormous and jolly dinner, homemade crackers. Raising a glass to absent friends, phone calls with family miles apart, enormous feeling of how exceptionally blessed we are. Love it, love it, LOVE IT. Sallyallyally
feeling very xmassy now!
