x post - the floorplan of that house looks fab dylth!

And thanks girls Blush

viksam · 25/11/2011 20:05

dylthan That looks ace, really well designed, i really like the way the master bedroom is totally seperate from the other two, i also like the utility and the seating aea in the kitchen, great family home, whats the time scale do u think? What do u think about the outcome of ur meeting Was it what u expected?

Dylthan · 25/11/2011 20:13

The outcome of whether the plot goes to either my brother or me is still up in the air so it may not happen at all at present. Building that house also depends on how much we can sell our current house for and I have a nasty feeling that we are going to have to sell it for a lot less then we paid for it which will mean we will have to scale down our dream house.

WhatSheSaid · 25/11/2011 22:04

dylthan house looks good.

Taking A to a 4 hour long birthday party this afternoon (they are hiring a bouncy castle and the minimum hire was 4 hours so that's how long the party is for...). Going to vote on the way as it's general election day here.

Just heard Lily Allen had her baby safely, it's weird how just being a mum can make you really feel for someone you've never met - I'm so pleased for her.

memphis83 · 26/11/2011 02:06

wss also glad for Lily Allen poor woman has been through so much!
dylthan hope the house sells for more than you think
mlic glad you had a nice 'me' day you truely do deserve it!

well im back home safe had a great night, got 'approached' by a bloke! and the new barmaid is someone I know but hate she is on a trial at my local and she actual said at the end of the night ' do you ever shut the fuck up...' then back tracked and said 'not in a bad way but seriously do you ever shut up?' so ive complained to the barstaff and owners (who are friends) and looks like shes is a gonna (in an emplyoment term) my best friend said he was surprised I didnt nut her one!
had a great night now bed and probably die tomorrow until the return of dh and L!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 26/11/2011 07:43

Glad you had a good night memph you gobshite

W has been screaming in temper and flinging himself about for a solid 40 minutes. I'm already sick of today.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 26/11/2011 08:02

FINALLY stopped him screaming by giving him a bottle of warm milk! Thank God I didn't throw all the bottles out, I almost did on Thursday!

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/11/2011 08:46

Vik- he only had half an hour but he actually slept better at night, I honestly don't think he needs much sleep during the day. He's never been one for hours and hours in the day and now it's getting so short there won't be one at all soon. It didn't even affect his mood that much either.

I've read loads of supposedly true things about how to conceive a girl. How girl sperm lives longer so to have sex before ovulation. Eat fruit veg to change the acidity level in the vagina so the boy sperm can't survive. I don't know if it's really true or not but gives me hope! However I was saying to mum yesterday if I had another boy it really wouldn't be that bad as it'll give Dylan a playmate, one who will want to play rough and tumble so I don't mind :)

WhatSheSaid · 26/11/2011 08:58

The girl sperm thing has some truth in it (apparently), they swim slower but live longer so all the boy sperm get there but die off quickly then the girl sperm arrive later and one fertilises the egg.

It's all so random though, there's millions of the little buggers and one of them just gets there! I wasn't trying to conceive a particular gender either time, with my first girl I got pg when we'd been married 6 weeks and were extremely, um, active (tmi once or twice a day) and the second one was conceived when we were knackered and probably at it once a week!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 26/11/2011 09:08

wss is right, there is some truth to it. But let me assure you the girl I was talking about knew all of these things. And had 6 boys.

S'all I'm saying Wink

Actually wss it's same here - I was charting etc with ds1 and knew exactly waht I was doing. The month W was conceived we dtd once Blush Just lucky!

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/11/2011 13:58

I guess there is no definite way it's just luck. I'm happy to have a healthy baby of either gender.

D had a 40 min nap today, better than yesterday but still not great.
We're going round FILs house in half an hour. Got a rotten cold though and my period so don't feel v sociable.

Chulita · 26/11/2011 15:43

We were off at the parents' for the night yesterday which is why I've not been on.
L's birthday today but not done anything except drive home, she's not had her present from us yet and I'm going to make her cake tomorrow so might just save the present til then.
Very tired due to bad nights from S so I'm off for a bit.

memphis83 · 26/11/2011 15:54

chulita hope you get some sleep! and the SPD isnt too bad.
mlic hope you have a lovely night, you inspired me im having gels done next thursday!
dh my cousin had 5 boys and then number 6 was a girl, she was the only one they didnt try for a girl on, do you want to stop at 2? do you rent or own your flat would you have to move? I would prefer another boy over a girl I love the clothes for girls but wouldnt know what to do if I had a girly girl!
L was a good boy for my sister and slept really well, im shattered even though I slept til 10!
Remember on my birthday I went out with all the girlfriends and had a horrid time, well ive agreed to go out with them next week but im going to cancel, is this a bad thing to do? I feel guilty about it but it will be £30 for a taxi on my own whereas if I go out with my best friends taxi will be £2 each to a nearer town to us, I can only afford one night out before xmas

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/11/2011 17:14

memphis yeah 2 is the limit, dh doesn't want anymore plus we don't have the money/ room for more. We wouldn't have to move immediately but it would be nice to have 3 bedrooms one day so we can all have our own.

KFC for dinner tonight Grin

God where is everyone?? I came on here expecting loads of posts to read through.

D is now in the pattern of waking every 3 hours in the night, to the minute.
We're going to a Xmas fair at a little castle today, it's a bit gloomy today so it'll get us out.

viksam · 27/11/2011 13:14

Afternoon,
TSC how was ur night?
chu hope ur feeling better, are u going to do anything today for L's birthday? Hows the spd? My back/legs/pelvice have been very very painfull the last two days, its not to bad right now but yesterday it was awfull, im gona make an appointement asap tomorrow. How was ur night?
mylife what did you do last night?
dh Maybe he just doesnt need much sleep in the day, if it doesnt effect his mood it doesnt matter does it? It just that you dont get much of a break in the day though. What does he do when he wakes in the night? Is he in his bed all night now? Sounds nice what ur doing today, its a lovely day here but i really just want to veg and rest LOADS, the baby feels very low down and heavy and walking is really really uncomfortable, must be the way hes lying atm.
I went the the NCT second hand sale yesterday, it wasnt that good really, i got some books and some peppa pig stuff that im gona keep back till the baby comes so D has some new stuff. I was hoping to get some warm new baby clothes but the clothes wernt that good really.
Anyhow, yeah where is everybody???????

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/11/2011 13:51

vik get lots of rest, you're entitled to it! D had nearly an hours nap today because I put him down at the exact right moment.
When he wakes in the night he either sits there and cries or comes into our room to get us. Each time I put him back in bed til he goes back to sleep.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 27/11/2011 17:27

Aw happy 3rd birthday to L! Wow, seems strange to think when we first started talking on the antenatal thread, E and L will have been younger than W and S are now! And now she's 3!!! Hope you've had a lovely weekend.

We went for a meal with friends Vik. But dh wasn't/isn't well so was off his food and only had 2 pints. And later in one of the pubs some bloke was annoying me and my friends and dh got angry...so I had a good night but have defo had better!

Spirael · 27/11/2011 18:22

It is very quiet in here this weekend! Where is everyone? Shock

Thanks for the kind words on Friday. Smile It helped me keep my sanity when things got worse...

We got back from work to find the kitchen under water. Confused The radiator we only fitted 5 years ago had failed and soaked the dining area. The actual radiator itself had split, rather than our DIY plumbing having issues. Naturally, the radiator is out of warranty.

All the wrapped and organised Christmas presents were in that area too, but I fortunately had recently organised them into a plastic Tesco crate, so they were safe!! [cries in relief]

DH and I debated poking the insurance, but they'd likely have just given us some money to hire a heater dry the carpet out (since it was wet but not stained) and then tripled our premiums next year.

Instead we've bitten the bullet and sold our souls to go ahead and get a new kitchen installed, replacing the radiator with under-plinth heating and changing the carpet to tiles. Since the house isn't selling the way it is and one of the major problems is likely to be that the kitchen is falling off the walls a little old.

So I get a shiny new kitchen in January! After we've been without one and had intermittent gas/electricity/water for two weeks beforehand. Eek!

Weekend wasn't great for M either, she's fortunately slept reasonably well for the last two nights, but was quite feverish and lethargic on Saturday. I was quite worried for a bit, but she perked up after some Calpol brought her temperature down again. Two new teeth to show for it though, she's now got a mighty eight!

I'm the other way round with genders, DH! Wink Like Memphis I was worried about having a girly-girl and would have, in some ways, preferred a boy. Though M's lovely and I wouldn't change her for the world and will just ban pink from my house. :) I'd secretly like a boy next time but realise I will end up with three girly-girl daughters.

Love that house layout, Dylthan! I really want to build my own house, someday. Grin Have you found a plot for it?

WhatSheSaid · 27/11/2011 18:39

I'm here but just getting the kids ready for the walk to pre-school.

Happy birthday to L chul

Eeek about the radiator etc spirael. Glad the pressies are ok though.

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/11/2011 19:01

spirael bad news about the radiator but nice that you're getting a new kitchen. I actually held my breath when I read about the presents but when you said they were ok I was relieved! That would have been disastrous.

D was so good earlier, played with his blocks in his room (obv being a flat he can access his room easily and we're in the front room next door) all by himself for a fair while only coming back in when he got peckish! He's had a bath and he's in his pjs watching ITNG very nicely.

Chulita · 27/11/2011 20:04

L had a very happy birthday weekend, thanks for the wishes :) I baked her a cake and DH decorated it as a pink monster, she's been going on about a pink monster cake for about 5 weeks!
For the record, I'm not very girly and used to dress L in stuff I liked but since she's got older she wants everything pink and sparkly. My Dsis is the least girly woman I have ever met in my whole life and she's got 2 very pink fluffy girls at the moment. I think a lot of girls go through a pink stage at some point!

spirael glad the presents were safe and good stuff on the kitchen, under floor heating is the way we want to go when we redo the kitchen in our proper house.

viks sorry you're so uncomfortable, nearly there! Make sure you do rest as much as you need to, no point in overdoing it or you'll feel worse.

mlisc it's so true, I forget just how long we've all been chatting, but yea, L would have just turned 1 most likely when I found you all!

dh it's lovely when they play on their own!

tsc I hope you get a good night tonight and that F is okay.

I'm so frustrated, I need to do the weekly shop but I can't push a trolley cos it's too painful. I'm going to have to get it delivered but I don't have that much to get Angry I feel like everyday I'm able to do less and less and it's really pissing me off, especially cos I've still got...erm...16-ish weeks to go.

Hope eh is better soon tsc.

We've had a busy day, A at pre-school then the beach this pm, I've put some photos up on Fb of them in the water.

G is "having crazy time" as A calls it (running round with the dog squealing with delight and him barking like mad). A is cooking with dh. 30 mins till bedtime!
