Hi,
Interesting talk of bed time routines and such like, i love to hear what everyone else does.
woods regarding J and the waking, i would do what it takes to make you feel comfortable and him sleep. D wakes some time between 3 and 4 and is usually awake on and off for over an hour, 3.40-5ish last night. Previously he wouldnt go back to sleep, he'd just get more and more agitated untill i got him up but the last week or so hes been dropping back off till 7ish or later. I go in to check for leaky nappy/dummy/muslin etc tell him good night its sleepy time and go out again. Last night after over an hour of lying there sooooo uncomfortable and listening to him crying out every few mins i did tell him very firmly to go to sleep and i covered him up with a blanket and he went off so maybe he was cold?? He has plenty on though so i doubt it.
Re missed/not documented periods, i didnt note when my last one was before i realised i hadnt had one for aaaaaggggges and thats when i did a test and found out i was pregnant again....................8 weeks pregnant in fact! I wasnt taking any precautions though so really shouldnt have been such a suprise should it!!
OMG my acid indigestion is horrific, it fels like its in my ears now and rennie dont really do much long term.

Dylthan · 24/11/2011 22:10

Sorry to disappoint you further gracie but my period has arrived so definently no fresh baby pics :o which I'm really glad about because If we do get the plot then we will be selling our house and moving on site and the thought of having a 5yr old, 2yr old and a newborn in a caravan was bringing me out in a cold sweat :o

mlisc and chulita I hope your two little ones are better able to make their minds up tomorrow.

vik I hated having heartburn when I was pg especially when people would see I was suffering and say all wise and knowingly "well you know what that means. Your baby is going to be born with lots of hair" why do people need to spout such crap although my two were both born with lots of hair

Well my appointment went well today I think.

CakeandRoses · 24/11/2011 22:43

i had no heartburn when pg with my two [no shit sherlock emoticon] Grin

glad to be of help woodlands

totally shattered as dh didn't get back til 9 so had to do another solo bedtime plus had a fucker of headache and raging sciatica so won't waffle any further now.

off to bruge tomo! night all.

CakeandRoses · 24/11/2011 22:44

really pleased your appt went well today dylth. did you feel it will help? how often will you be going?

viksam · 25/11/2011 07:14

Bruge cake how lovely, with children?? I didnt get much indigestion with D but last night was horrid. Hows the sciatica? Didnt know you suffered from that.
dylthan tell us more about ur app, if u want to of course! The plot was it on ur folks grounds? do u have a design? How exciting, how long will it take?
dh meant to say, sounds like u have developed a routine that u feel comfortable with, is D coming in to ur room at some point? Hes on a matress on the floor right, so if he gets out of bed does he get back in and cover himself back up?
Do many LO's have duvets/pillows now, i have been wondering if D would be happier with a duvet and pillow rather than a bag???
D slept from 7 till 5.40, when he chatted etc, i went in to resettle and he did drop off again for 20or so mins, we got up in the end at 6.40 so a successfull night here imo. He's walking around with eating an apple and trying to make the dog chase him atm, very cute and funny. Got friends coming round for lunch today, their son is two weeks younger than D and not walking yet, but i bet hes doing lots of other stuff that D isnt, it will be interesting to see.

DesperateHousewife21 · 25/11/2011 07:25

vik no he can't lay himself back down, he just sits up and cries for me. He has his own pillow and duvet. It's a double duvet atm because that's the only spare one we had but when he gets his new bed at Xmas he'll have a single one.

WhatSheSaid · 25/11/2011 08:10

G is still in a sleeping bag, won't put a duvet and pillow on till next June (winter)

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 25/11/2011 08:56

Baby is still in a sleeping bag. Got no intention of taking him out any time soon, he seems fine with it.

I had no heartburn with E and he was born with masses of hair (and it just kept growing!) but had horrific heartburn with W and ended up on prescription medication for it, and he was born with some hair, but I wouldn't say loads. Certainly didn't seem so compared to his brother

You feeling better now tsc?

Baby had quite a disturbed sleep from 4.30 til I woke him at 7.30. I went in three times but he was just lying on his pillow, in the same position, with his eyes shut, crying :( I tried to give him some ibuprofen as I was convinced his teeth were hurting, but he wouldn't take it. I got maybe 2.5 mls into him.

Have a great weekend cake!

Woodlands · 25/11/2011 08:59

Mmm, I really want to go to Bruges for the weekend once we can leave J with grandparents - I guess that's my incentive to stop BFing at some point!

J is still in a sleeping bag, am planning to keep him in them until he goes into a bed I guess, which won't be for another year at least, I imagine. WIll see how it goes.

Spirael · 25/11/2011 09:00

Augh... I'm afraid this is a self-indulgant rant, so you might want to skip this post!

Nightmare night here, the worst M has ever had, and the day isn't improving. M cried from 9pm to 4:30am before finally going back to sleep. In that time we tried everything imaginable - nappy/food/water/milk/medicine/warmer/colder/our bed/her bed/etc.

When we did all finally get to sleep, it was then for a mighty 2 hours before having to get up to go to work/nursery! Then my bus was incredibly late, so beyond crowded and hit the heavier traffic, so I was ridiculously late for work and (due to being on flexi-time) need to stay late.

So it's still another 8 hours until hometime... Sad I might just go to bed at the same time as M later. (Assuming she will sleep tonight and doesn't catch up by napping all day at nursery then be wide awake later!)

Was going to cook gnocchi for tea, but I suspect I may just stop at the fish and chip shop instead. There goes the diet!

OP posts:
MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 25/11/2011 09:15

Oh no spirael - that sounds awful :( Sod the diet, I say

Speaking of gnocchi I found this recipe and might try it tonight

Woodlands · 25/11/2011 09:21

God how awful, spirael! In your shoes I would probably have been tempted to call in sick!

Hope you manage to survive the day. Definitely go for fish and chips for tea!

DesperateHousewife21 · 25/11/2011 13:12

Oh spirael what a rubbish night. Really hope shes better for you tonight.

D has just gone down for a nap, hoping he'll sleep longer as its later than usual. I'm at my mums and he's in her bed, he seems to like it in there.

We're going out for a walk after, starting to wish is brought a thicker coat its sunny but not v warm!

memphis83 · 25/11/2011 13:25

spirael how awful! that was worse than the night we had wednesday where he was up from 3am! hope the day goes ok.
dh you have a 3 hr window to take the pill, if you miss that window you may as well not take it, im like the contraceptive nerd, was the only one out of my friends never to have a scare, I even used to have an alarm to take it! this was until a stupid doc didnt look at my med notes and put me on the wrong pill so I got pg with L!
L used to go to bed at 7 but we have made it half 7 now, this morning I was so tired after the awful night the night before and with work I brought L into my room and put the tv on I dozed back off and got woke up to L smashing my glass over my head full whack! L is having a late nap now (i dont care if he sleeps tonight he is staying with my sister!) then im dropping him off with her then im going to get very drunk on wine and rum and wobble home alone as dh is away tonight, im worried I fall into a ditch and no one will know if im home safe though Grin I once got so drunk (not so long ago) I fell into a friends garden at 3am and she looked out her window and saw me 'swimming in her garden as i was too drunk to right myself, lets hop I dont repeat this!'

Woodlands · 25/11/2011 13:29

dh if you're on Cerazette like me you actually have a 12 hour window, not 3, thank goodness!

DesperateHousewife21 · 25/11/2011 13:31

Haha memphis I have images of you swimming in a garden now! At least you've told us your plans so we can put together a nationwide search for you if we haven't heard from you. We will not let you sleep in a ditch!
Many times I have taken the pill 4, 5, 6 even 12 hours late so Im v surprised to not be pregnant really. Maybe I should just stop taking it altogether and let nature decide.
(even though I desperately want a girl and was planning it down to the day of conception and a change in diet to up my chances of having one!)

woodlands the one DH is on should be taken at same time everyday so its a smaller window, cerazette was the one I fell pg on so im back on the injection.
dh its down to the man to pick the sex not you so its you dh's diet he needs to change. thaanks for thinking about the search party! when I went on first date with dh (we were set up by a mutual friend) I went down the pub and said where we were meeting and if I didnt return to dredge the river, months later a friend met dh and said see I told you her wouldnt chop you up and throw you in the river, dh just looe Shock and didnt know what to say!

Gracie123 · 25/11/2011 16:26

Memphis, when you wrote DH without bold I thought you meant darling husband!
Reminded me of a girl at a pg crisis centre who told me her boyfriend was on the pill so she couldn't understand how she was pg.
Thought I was going to have to explain contraception to you Grin

memphis83 · 25/11/2011 17:07

gracie I didnt realise, L was bashing the keys as I types so I was swatting him away! that poor girl though, some girls believe everything their boyfriends say I bet there are a lot of girls who get told their bf's are on the pill just to get sex!
tsc why not just go to the CSA? or just humiliate him on fb bombarding his page so all his mates know what a knob he is?
DH has tried saying as soon as the male contraceptive injection comes in he will have it as a way of trying to get out of the snip, but it wont wash with me as soon as I pop number 2 out he is being booked in! Grin
L has now gone to my sisters, I have had to send him there with a packed lunch with instructions to not feed him anything else after she told be he had a bag of wotsits, a grab bag to himself! I cant even eat that many crisps!
Whats everyone got planned for the weekend? And anyone doing anything amazing for xmas? I wish we were going on holiday, im cooking for 10!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 25/11/2011 18:09

'I can't eat that many crips' Confused - that's an alien concept to me Grin

Although Wotsits aren't crips imo so yeah actually, I couldn't eat any of them, nevermind lots

Bit jealous that people have places their child/children can sleep out. Makes me feel a bit :( that there isn't a person in the world I could trust to have them other than us :(

I have had a lovely day. Felt like a real lady of leisure for the first time in...years! I had my hair done this morning, my nails done (with this gel stuff so they won't chip and will last 2-3 weeks) and had a shoulder, back and neck massage. Then went shopping and got myself a dress and shoe-boots for tomorrow night. And fake tan. And some spanks.

DH - I personally think all that's bollocks - in fact I was talking to someone just today whilst getting my nails done and a family member of hers was so desperate for a girl she kept on trying. She gave up after 6 boys. Agree with memph - it is out of your control so don't stress about it.

Only plans for the weekend memph is to get trollied tomorrow night! It's our wedding anniversary and we're out with friends. Hence the new outfit and the nails :)

viksam · 25/11/2011 19:31

mylife sounds like a fab day and you blumin well deserve it too!
My scan was good today, saw a little face and tiny fists, ace, all is well babys estimated weight is 5lb 13 oz, seen as though i seem to have only put on 7lb its clearly all baby. The placents is well out of the way, which is good news, so its just all about getting rady now.
dh did D sleep longer today? I cut out D's morning nap about three weeks ago, it was a struggle to begin with but i moved his afternoon nap forwards to 1ish and this seems to work for him he has an hour and a half generally.
My dh refuses to have the snip so i guess after this one id better not mess up any contraception that i go on!!
My pelvice is KILLING me, really really painfull, im gona have some paracetamol after dinner, i have tried to stay away from any drugs but i have to have something!
chu how are u? When was ur next scan?
tsc hope ur feeling better.
memph u asked if anyone is doing anything amazing at xmas, im just gona say 'yes' and leave it at that!

Dylthan · 25/11/2011 19:39

cake How is Bruge?

Memphis I hope you have a good night and get home safely. You're also a braver women than me to be cooking for 10 at Christmas.

tsc I'm glad you're feeling a little bit better.

spirael how was work? I think I would of been tempted to phone in sick as well. Defiantly go for fish and chips this evening you deserve it :)

vik The appointment was actually an assessment they think I might have aspergers. The psychiatrist agrees I do have some aspergers like traits so the next step is to get as many family members as I can to write him a letter about what I was like as a child and while growing up and then there will be a big family meeting with the psychiatrist to discuss things before he is able to come up with a diagnosis.

this is the house we want to build. :)

Dylthan · 25/11/2011 19:46

mlisc That does sound like a lovely day and you most definently deserve it.

vik I'm glad you're scan went well. Sorry that your pelvis is giving you such pain :(

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 25/11/2011 19:55

Grin vik. 'Yes' is a good answer [very excited for you emoticon]

Didn't realise you had a scan today - ah how lovely. Glad the placenta has moved. Yes chul, when is your next scan? Have you managed to rearrange the mw appt you missed?
