Luke was 25lb 5 a few weeks ago, has 14 teeth and is 5 1/2 G too. He knows all his body parts and tried to make a diamond when we sang twinkle twinkle little star for the first time today :). This is such a lovely age!

Debs75 · 26/02/2012 22:16

Right an update.
Lucy wakes most days between 5 and 7 for morning 'boobie' then will sleep up till 9.30 if I let her. She finally goes to bed at between 8 and 9.30 after I have put dd2 to bed.
When she comes down for breakfast she will tell me where she wants to sit, 'I want sit there' She usually has cheerios and toast but loves pancakes, scrambled egg and omelettes.
If she has pooed she will get us a nappy but she hates having her nappy changed. SHe likes to copy dd2 and sits on the potty. Last week we asked dd2 to do a wee and Lucy went to ge the potty and put it next to dd2 then pointed at it and said 'WEE'
By dinner time she has usually had about 3 more feeds off me and a nap.
She loves her babies and will ask for them and cuddle them and kiss them. My phone is the next best thing as there is a pic of her on it.
She absolutely adores DD1 and will often sit at the front window shouting Jadey, waioting for her to come home from school
She is a demon dancer and wriggles her bum to anything. She also likes ds's singing Elmo and when she gets it will sing 'la la la la'
In an afternoon she often has anouther nap and more feeds off me.(somedays she feeds more than a newborn)
She asks for boobie by tapping my boobs or by trying to lay on my knee.
She eats almost anything, I'm not sure why she isn't the size of a house but she only weighs 21K, her feet are a 3 1/2G and she is just sneaking into 18-24m clothes, partly due to the reusable nappies
She has 12 teeth
She seems to have loads of words I can understand but not many other people do.
She giggles loads and is very ticklish on her shoulders
On the whole she is absolutely adorable, very loving, cheeky, defiant and bossy. You'd think being my 4th that maybe I wouldn't notice the little things but you see it even more. Kind of 'that's what dd1 dis' or 'the others never did that. Being the youngest, and last I am drinking it all it as I know I won't do it again.
And I will miss her so much when I go to London tomorrow and am away for 36 whole hours

Thanks lumps I'll have a search for soccer tots. Dh will love it anyway! Jack's shoes are an f.... Slippers we got in a g and a month ago he was 23lbs 8oz.
Also.... For the pram addicts among us.... He travels in a Quinny Zapp these days.
Got him a duvet but he sleeps on top of it for now.
Feel I need to get finding us a venue for meet up so we can do all this in person! Grin

JParkson · 27/02/2012 10:40

Hi ladies!

Long time no type/read! lol

Hope everyone is well - I haven't done a major catchup, as I saw this in the 'most active list', but thought I'd stick my two-penneth in :o

Well, Mary is 17 months tomorrow, and weighing in at 22lbs 15oz as of last Tues. She's walking but not talking much apart from the odd hi, heyo, hiya. She also says ahhh for the dog, and insists on waving at him when she gets up from her nap. (we're down to one now, the Dal, as the terrier was very ill in the runup to Xmas) She understands us asking for kiss/cuddle, and she knows num num (food!) which gets a massive Oooooh response when I put the plate on the table! Very cute! She loves flicking through books, and usually has it the right way up, and turns the pages in the right direction.

And this morning I had a very proud moment when she put all her toys away properly - she has this Tomy egg box, and there are these chicks with lids on to make them like eggs. She can match the correct lid to the correct colour chick, but to date she hasn't managed to put the chicks away properly as they are each a different shape on the bottom. Usually she tips them out, I put them back and she puts the lids on before tipping them all out again. But this morning she put them all away and gave me the completed box, all done very quietly! I was so pleased!

JParkson · 27/02/2012 10:42

Oh, we stopped BF at 13 months - she stopped it by herself, as she was only taking feeds first thing in the morning, or for comfort after jabs and bumps. She literally stopped after her last set of jabs - took one look the next morning and turned her head away as if to say no thank you.

BangWentMyTriangle · 27/02/2012 11:40

Oh wow! So exciting jparkson are we allowed more info? Massive congrats!
We have that egg box too but Jack only knows how to chuck them all over the room in different directions. All his girlfriends are much, much more gentle and can organise them so quickly..... Then he comes along and destroys the lot! Grin
These updates always make me realise that I haven't filled Jack's baby book in for months!
Sounds like we have a lot of tall little people on our thread. Flynn, Jack and Luke are all tall and I think Grace too.....? Is she newmum or have I made that up?

with excitement for latest bump Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 27/02/2012 12:28

Luke is still in 12-18 months clothes and even has some 9-12 month trousers that still fit! But yes he is tall, was 81cm in November so at 13 1/2 months.

Hi JParkson! Good to see you back, we have those chicks/eggs in a box somewhere, might have to find them out! Hoping Luke will stop bfing like that, at the moment he has a huge paddy if I take him out of bed and put him on the floor instead of sitting in my nursing chair with him. Are you finding out what you are having? So exciting, I love pregnancy news and a bit Envy

Is anyone still friends with, I think it was I'mnotperfect or notperfectmum, something like that on fb? She had a little girl on Saturday, she had Samson on this thread (I think!).

ItsMyLastOne · 27/02/2012 16:08

Wow, there are so many pregnancies! Congratulations JParkson! Grin

lumpylumps · 27/02/2012 19:13

Ollys just going into age 9-12 mths! When we meet up he's going to look like a dwarf. Toby will fit in better! He's in 18-24mths! his feet are a 3E!

patito · 28/02/2012 21:04

Hi

Love the catch up too.
Maia is tall and weighs about 11kgs (24llbs). She has most of her teeth but no hair still. Her favourite thing by far is big brother who she calls Mama (She also calls me mama.Confused.) She sleeps OK ish generally goes to bed around 9pm, wakes (on a good night) at 5:30 for a feed and will then sleep on til 8am. She has 1 afternoon nap for about an hour. Eats like a horse, and regualry tops up with a BF.
She says lots of things, her latest is "gracias", she´s spent the last two days picking daisies handing them out and saying "gracias" as she does. She loves puzzles and the clasp´s on the pushchair/carseat, will sit there for ages just doing and undoing them.
Oh and she doesn´t like the sledging!

Helloo melly

patito · 28/02/2012 21:04

Jparker Congratulations, how many months (or weeks) are you?

Debs75 · 28/02/2012 21:33

Yes Lumpy 21lbs not kilosBlush

I survived my 36 hours with no children. TBH it was harder surviving mum for 36 hours. When I cam back Lucy was very excited and told everyone 'mummy, mummy there' and then after 15mins asked for boobie so back to normal in our household

lumpylumps · 28/02/2012 21:45

I've spent the last 3 hours copying and pasting all my posts from all the threads! I'm up to 5th december 2010!!!!! I started last night! I decided that its like a diary of the last 2 years of my life & the boys. Gonna print it & keep it forever! When I finally get it all done!

Hello patito Smile

mellymooks · 28/02/2012 22:19

lumpy that is a lovely idea

cinnamongreyhound · 29/02/2012 12:52

I really hate hormones!! I have been in a much better mood since I've been running but today I have my period and all I want to do is cry! Why do they do this too use, so stupid. It makes me feel frustrated which makes me more likely to cry! We went to see the vow last night and I sobbed my heart out, was such a lovely film but a lot of :( bits.

Luke has been listening so much more since he's been better it's lovely, he's actually doing what he's told without me having to physically going and stopping him.

JParkson · 29/02/2012 15:13

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't posted back sooner - I completely forgot to check back... Yup, baby brain has well and truly taken me hostage (again!) Wink :o

I'm 17+3, and, hmm, this is going to sound a bit ungrateful/bad/judgy, but it's not as nice a pg as Mary's!

I think because there was such a gap between Mary and DS, Mary almost felt like a first-time pg, and I enjoyed it so much. I'm just not getting the same comforting and cosy vibes this time. It almost doesn't feel real yet?! Hmm

Ah well, I hope it'll change as the pg progresses - I'm hardly feeling Pickle move at the moment, maybe that'll make it feel more 'real'

Also, I lost twins in the late spring/early summer last year - one in early May, and one undiagnosed ectopic in late June (I nearly died thanks to the hospital misdiagnosing it not once but 3 times, despite various BTs and scans Hmm ).

I have the nagging suspicion that I'm struggling to bond with this one partly because I'm terrified I could still lose it. It never crossed my mind before how easily LOs can be lost.

comixminx · 29/02/2012 21:56

Hi JP, sorry to hear your current pg is not as "nice" as with Mary. I'm currently in week 16 but I haven't got the exact days to hand unlike with Aphra! I'm sure that once your Pickle moves more - not long now - as you say things will all feel more real. And not surprising that it's all a bit harder with your sad stuff that happened earlier - very sorry to hear that. Blimey, an undiagnosed ectopic, really scary.

patito, Aphra is also really keen on undoing and doing up the catches on the highchair and suchlike! She's had fun with my bike helmet today and yesterday, which has the same sort of catch on it.

sassy34264 · 01/03/2012 10:05

hi.

cinnamon i know you asked a while ago.........the canal walk was good. walked for an hour and then turned around. i was physically exhausted by the time i got home. needed dp to help bring the pram in.
well done on the running. i use to think, i wish i could run. and it is hard at first but then suddenly, you can just run for ever. well ok, maybe not forever but for a long time. i got up to 13 miles at my most and it took me 2 hours 10 mins. the secret is interval training- like what you are doing- run a bit, walk a bit, or run fast for x mins and slow for x mins.

found out what is wrong with the top of my leg- it begins with i and is basically a groin injury. had a run last week and it was worse than ever. rested for a week and joined a gym, so i can exercise without straining it, ie, bike, cross trainer, rower etc. went for the 1st time on mon and said to dp phone me if eva is crying bad. no phonecall, thoroughly enjoyed myself- came home beaming- and eva is making these whimpering sounds in her sleep on dp's chest. turns out she had cried for nearly the whole time. never seen the others in that state. so then im crying at the bloody state of her and feel like screaming at dp, but he looks like he's just had the worst hr and a half of his life, so i didnt. that will teach me to have some fun me time!

with regards to an update:

isobel- is 24lbs and about 74cm. she is still in 9-12months clothes. she is soooo sweet, but very whiney. particularly when jacob takes things off her, ie, hourly! she can throw quite the strop! and she trumps alot! ha.
she is really good at animal noises. i love her cat. she doesnt say meow. she justs says the m and the ending -mow. prounced like now but with an m-iyswim.
she is an absolute hard as nails dare devil and will not hesitate to fling herself down the biggest slide going. i took jacob down one the other day, that isobel had climbed up when i werent looking and just flung herself down and i gulped at the size of it! she will only go down on her tummy, so she either goes feet first and cant see where she's going or head first with her arms out in front of her. she is crazy. she runs and acts like a crazy person too!

jacob- is 28lbs and about 77cms and in 12-18months. he is totally besotted with his dad. especially now he is here all the time. he can be a lovely little boy, but he can be a little sod too. he just cant seem to help himself. its like he's frustrated or the urge to do what you are telling him not to, is too strong. i think he needs a lot of stimulation.
he is not a dare devil and isnt so keen on the big slides! which is prob quite normal for his age but isobel makes him look soft Grin

they both love love books and if i tell them its bedtime they run -no exaggeration- to the gate in the hall to go to bed. all because i keep their favourite book for bedtime. its called snappy little pets and its a pop up. it says its sold 10 million world wide and i can see why. they go crazy for it and all i do is describe all the animals, make the animal sounds, say whats on the page, and point to ears, eyes, teeth etc and then ask them to show me theirs. so it can last a while.

sorry its long. hope everyone is well.

i did congratulate you on fb jessmy but i'll say it again- congratulations. x

cinnamongreyhound · 01/03/2012 12:12

I felt similar with Luke JParkson, I had wanted to be pregnant for a long time but dh didn't and we hadn't planned him so I felt he wasn't meant to be. Can't imagine how you must feel after what you went through but I think you feel more relaxe once you feel baby regularly and hopefully you can enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!

Glad all is well with you comixminx, I don't think anyone is as obsessive up to date with everything with a secod pregnancy.

That's exactly what dh suggested sassy34264, I am covering 4.5k in 40 mins (inc 5 min each warm up and down) at the moment. Would like to increase pace a bit but don't feel I want to/can dedicate more time than that to it, might perhaps try a longer run at the weekend. Thinks sound good with you at the moment, glad you're able to get out more now.
