Thanks for asking, sassy - all going well here if tired in the evenings!

Aphra says 'pooo' rather plaintively when having her nappy changed - we thought at first it was an actual indicator of having pooed but no, she seems to do it when there's just wee too. She also says 'bapple' or 'bapu' which is obviously derived from apple but she applies it to any roughly spherical fruit or veg of the right sort of size!

We're getting really up close to the limit on this thread now so I'll use cinnamon's suggestion "Sept 2010- Another 6 months past, it's going too fast!" and create it now. Yay!

Oh but before I do - my friend's screaming baby has had a couple of acclimatisation sessions at the nursery that Aphra goes to and it seems to be going better, fingers crossed. Let's see what she does when there's a longer session!

Beadit Read cinnamons just under your post, an answer before you even asked! Could be like you said cold related. Cows milk produces mucus Ive been recommend to stay off it whilst with cold, so maybe your little man is just naturally in tune with this.

Argh....no timetocatchupproperlybut will do tomorrow hopefully. Just want to ask about milk.......
Jack has had the snots for a good ten days and has been a bit all over the place really but hasn't touched milk for 7 days. Do you think it's too early for him to have naturally weaned off it or possibly just a cold/faddy thing?
Will post properly soon but hope everyone had a fab Easter xxx

Some babies just aren't keen on milk sassy34264, wasn't suggesting you were a bad mother! My brother stopped drinking milk of any kind at 6 months and didn't start again until he was about 8 years! It's rubbish when you don't meet your targets even if you did well you know it's not what you wanted to do! My friend had shin splints when she used to run but doesn't run anymore. Well done on the fast mile though :)

im going in a minute- i promise! (im soaking in the bath)

debs isobel says yes and no to stuff, but always the same answer to a certain question. so if i say have you poo'd she always answers yes, 'do you love (insert anyones name) always gets a very earnest 'no'.
the only time she answers appropriately is to do with food and drink. Grin

jacob's yes was a caveman sound until a week ago- arrr. Grin he says it now, but only when he can be bothered. he's all for his dad and i dont think he cares if im there are not- which is quite upsetting at times. i think i lost him when i had eva. hopefully he will come back to me eventually. oh god, crying at this. definately bed now.

cinnamon umph just been to the gym again tonight and did crap. well. i did and i didnt. couldnt finish what i had planned cos i have shin splints! feck feck feck. they can be a bloody bugger to get rid of, esp someone like me who is impatient to get fit again. but i did manage to do 1 mile in my fatest time yet. 10 mins and 22 secs. going to have to have to rest a bit and then maybe lay off the running and do biking instead.

i like both running on a treadmill and running outdoors. treadmill is easier cos its flat (but you can put the gradient up) i also like it cos you can see miles and times and it makes it easier to sets goals etc. but i love running in general. i almost managed to do the full 3 miles (that i started to do before xmas) this sat. i just had to walk about 200 metres in the middle to ease the pain in my leg- which i now know is shin splints.

Nooooooo, not just giving her 1 breast fed and nothing else- im not that bad at being a mum am i? Smile
she has my breast milk plus 3 bottles of 8oz.

how are the pregnant ladies doing? im almost jealous! said to dp today 'shall we just try for one more before your vasectomy' he said yes!!!!!

i dont think i can though. its been hard work (understatement) but i would love another one in theory

Thank you sassy34264! And well done you for running so far, do you enjoy running on a treadmill as much as on the streets? I can't really afford to go to the gym but is an appealing idea! Are you bottle feeding Eva or has she cut her milk down to one feed a day?

That's cute Debs75! I ask Luke and he says yes and says there while pointing to his bum but if I say shall we change your nappy he then says no and runs off!

My new baby started today and he was very good although he did get very clingy in the afternoon. He is on a strict routine and I am already finding it strange! He hasn't cried for food or shown signs of being tired he's just been fed and put to bed. I'm not saying its wrong and he's very happy on it but its so alien to me, hoping it will all fit in ok once the kids are back to school and I'm doing school runs.

Eva is growing up so quickly Sassy and where did those 20 months go?

Newmum IU have been bitten by about every animal going, pigs do hurt but horse bites are horrid, they have such big teeth and it bled so much.

Lucy is telling me 'no' all the time now. IF she poos and I ask her if she has she runs and says no, it is a very cute dainty 'no'. She is also managing to say the other dc's names pretty well. I think we will get some prepoer conversation from her soon

cinnamon you do look really different. you look great. im surprised you've only gone down one dress size. have you tried any size 12's? you might find that it might only take a couple of more pounds and you will be there.

well done on the running. i have been using you to push me! I went to 5k (3.1 mile) again on the treadmill for the 2nd time this week and when i got there i decided to keep going to 4 miles and then i thought, i'll get to 4.5:miles and then when i got there, i only had 3 mins to run and i would make it to an hour, so i did. so got to 4.8 miles in 60 mins. i probably would have made it to 5 miles but the treadmill cuts off to warm down after 1 hr.
really felt like id had a break through. not concentrating on my diet yet (its crap!) but will do soon. got my nutrition exam on mon, so leaving it till after then (oh the irony)!

down to just a morning breast feed with eva. my decision which i feel a bit shit about, but i have had enough. she is up to 3 solids a day now. not a lot though. she has yoghurt at breakfast, fruit (apples, pears and mango so far) or veg (only carrot tried yet) for lunch and baby rice for dinner. she will be 6 months in 9 days!

the twins are 20months on friday.

Thanks newmum001! I feel different but when I look in the mirror I don't see any difference. I have only gone down from 16 to 14 which is a bit disappointing. Luke loved the farm park we went to, it's so lovely to see them enjoying animals. I was bitten by a pig when I was about 13 when on holiday with my dad and it really hurt! Basically the food ran out so she decided to take a chunk out of my finger.

Cinnamon I was looking at you're pics on fb yesterday and you're looking amazing! Can't believe you've lost so much!

Well dp is back in work today but my sister and mum are off for the week which will be nice.

We took grace to a petting farm on saturday and she loved it! I got bitten off a micro pig which hurt sooo much but it was my fault, I was holding the food wrong and it was too greedy. Hope everyone has had a lovely easter weekend. Also I'm not bothered about the new title, I have no imagination for these things so anything will be better than what I can come up with.

I don´t mind about the title just as long as it´s got "Sept 10" on, otherwise I tend to lose it (the thread that is!).

Finished lent today, ha ha choclate and a cuppa for me coming up Smile. Also gave up meat but didn´t really miss it tbh, except for DS´s birthday BBQ - that was quite a hard day.

Dp away for the week so Im heading in for an early night tonight to try and start the week off with some energy cause I know it´ll all be gone by the time he gets back on Friday night.

The little girl I mentioned before literally cried from drop off to pick up unless she was eating or sleeping for 2-3 weeks (was 3 days a week) but I knew her mum had to work so I got on with it an tried to play it down a bit, I don't think she'd have been any different in any other childcare situation but I suppose I could have seen it as not needing the hassle!

Damn, fat fingers! Screaming with rage, for two and a half hours non-stop, so loud that it could be heard on the other street. Also this CM normally works in pairs and therefore takes on more kids, but one of them is due to go on hols soon. And apparently they didn't charge for the time they've had my friend's DD so at least that's something.
