Saoirse that is soooo funny! I've been in some states in my time but thank god I've never ended up looking like that! Sounds like he had a good night tho!! A drunk girl walked passed my house in that kind of state the other week and fell over and her boyfriend just stood there and waited for her to get up he didn't even attempt to help her up. She ended up grabbing hold of the knocker on someones door to haul herself up. It was very funny even more so cause I kind of know her and she is very stuck up so it was kind of satisfying seeing her like that!

I've never been that bad either. Although to be fair I don't think many people have! Hmm He's also refused to see a doctor or nurse about it. When I arrived he sent me straight out to the warehouse to buy some stuff he needed because he wouldn't leave the pub. And we didn't open until an hour and a half after we normally do because we were taking down the Christmas decorations and he didn't want to risk being seen. What an idiot!

sassy34264 · 07/01/2012 23:27

speaking of the meet up- it doesnt matter to me now it is going to be in manchester or leeds, but for those travelling a bit (cinnamon, debs75, etc) it would be best to organise something asap, so they dont pay a fortune in train tickets.
do we want to meet in term time or school hols? or a weekend? if school hols, we could arrange something for either easter hols are the school hols in june? i should imagine mammyg is the hardest to fit around, so maybe she could see when the next cheap flights are and we could work around that?
how about you patio any chance you are coming and then we could try around you too?
i bet it would be easier to organise an army in battle thinking about it!

sassy34264 · 08/01/2012 15:05

cinnamon weighed myself today and im 14 stone 10.

managed to run today with only a slight twinge too.

newmum001 · 08/01/2012 17:38

I'm back in on the weigh ins too, weighed myself today and I'm 14st 12lb. Weighed grace too cause I'm crap and can't be arse going to the weighing clinic and she's 28 and a quarter pounds!

cinnamongreyhound · 08/01/2012 19:02

Thanks ladies, I'm 85.5Kg/13st 9.5lb. I did the first run of week 2 today and it went well, who knows I could become a runner.

Luke is 11.2kg newmum001 which is 25lbs puts him slightly below 75th centile. Ds1 is going to be weighed and measured at school as part of the government scheme, they weigh all reception and year 6 children to check who's at risk of obesity. He loves the scales and was 20.3Kg yesterday which means he's dropped a centile. The hv made me feel so guilty about his weight once I started weaning him having been so supportive while I was ebf that I am paranoid about it but he is a healthy weight and a happy little man. Luke's eating has slowed down today so I think it may have been a growth spurt.

sassy34264 I think Debs75 would find it easier term time but not sure, as long as I have enough notice I can make it anytime really.

comixminx · 08/01/2012 20:37

Think Aphra is also having a growth spurt, cinnamon - she has been eating like nothing on earth and has gone back to having 2 naps a day! Luxury, I tell you... Good to hear the run went well, too.

Debs75 · 08/01/2012 21:44

Yep term time would be easier for me. I will start looking and see how much a train will cost.
It could do to be after Easter for me as I have a lot going on before then with saving for dd1s 16th.

Lucy is doing better with the early wakings but she is still awake now and looks full of it. We can't really rely on the car now she is in a fixed seat as she wakes up as soon as she is moved. We will get there in the end. Going to get her weighed this week sometime, I have no idea how heavy she is but I don't think it will be much

MammyG · 08/01/2012 21:56

Count me in on the weigh ins! DH is in sorting out the 'gym' as I type!! He was so seriously fit til about oct and determined to get back in shape and drag me with him! My brother has had to quit running for various reasons so he has lent us his treadmill - you should see the room - real man heaven!! Have to get my ass in gear tho - 160lbs and need to be 145 to fit back into my clothes! The problem in the more DH tries to be 'encouraging' the more I just want to slap him! Grin Im the type that would drive over you to get to chocolate if you told me not to have it!!!
We had a great night out on friday night. In Ireland 6th of january is known as little xmas or womens xmas and its really celebrated in my area so the town restaurants/pubs and night clubs were just full of women on a night out. 20 of us for dinner then bevvies. Great music too as generally its women from there late 20s up. a proper night off after all the xmas work. Good fun - still recovering!
Back to work tomorrow and strangely looking forward to routine. Been all go since we moved back and only one day without visitors so looking forward to going at our own pace for a while. Had a lovely xmas - kids were a joy. Phoebe is chatting and saying 'allo to all and sundry. A couple of days ago I said 'say I love you Dada' and she actually said 'I lo lo dada!'keeps saying it and it is adorable - she is also saying Harry (DS1) so he is chuffed.

sassy34264 · 08/01/2012 23:03

loving the womans xmas mammyg . what a fabulous idea. wished they did that here.

on saying that though, i didnt do anything for christmas dinner apart from peel pototoes and sprouts. dp did it all!!! he didnt flap or get stressed or impatient even and he didnt even ask for help. was a bit impressed to be truthful. been a long time since he impressed me. (was for 6 adults and 4 kids too)

newmum001 · 09/01/2012 07:45

Morning all, bloody knackered and I can't even blame grace. She had 2 really bad nights last week including a 3.30am get up. Then had 2 bad nights where dp's snoring kept me awake and another night where I just couldn't sleep and I'm really feeling it now! I want a womans xmas!!!

I'm going to spend the day with my friend who had a moicarriage tomorrow or wednesday. She was admitted to hospital yesterday. I haven't know anyone who's had a miscarriage before but imo the hospital have handled it really badly. She went to a&e on 28th december cause she was bleeding, they booked her in for a scan on 31st dec which showed that the baby had stopped bleeding 4 weeks before and had no heart beat. She was sent home with another scan booked for 6th jan but started bleeding really heavily on 3rd jan so she assumed the scan would show that everything had come away but it didn't. It showed that the sac was still growing but again no heartbeat, they sent her home with another date for another scan next sat. However she was in agony and her bf called an ambulace at 6am on sunday morning as she was screaming in pain. They gave her gas and air in the ambulance and when they tried to take it off her when they arrived at the hospital she broke down crying cause of the pain at which point they gave her morphine. The hospital then tried to send her home again!! In the end they admitted her and gave her a tablet to speed up the process. Like I said I've never known anyone that's been through this before but surely it shouldn't be allowed to get that bad?
Sorry for the depressing post 1st thing on a monday morning! Hope everyone has a great week!

newmum001 · 09/01/2012 07:47

The baby had stopped growing not bleeding!

sassy34264 · 09/01/2012 14:29

thats terrible newmum my best friends 1st miscarriage was similar to that. she made an official complaint and the head of the hospital invited her to a meeting, so it didnt happen again. they left her in the reception area in agony and bleeding all over the floor in front of all the people in the waiting room. a man in there started shouting at the nurses and docs to do something. there was other things that are too personal to say, but it was horrendous.
i would go with chocs, vodka and big hugs.

took j&i to playgroup today for the 2nd time. they loved it, but its been a nightmare ever since. thought they were exhausted, but think they are hungrier too. cried for sleep and woke up screaming for food, esp isobel. she has started of tantruming. just spent the last 10mins trying to console her, but there was no having it. ended up in tears myself- it was heart breaking. walked off in the end and left her in her chair with a sandwich. shed had the sandwich in front of her for 5 mins but wouldnt let me give it to her. gawd help me when eva is 2 and they're 3!!!! its gonna be a pigging nightmare. Smile

newmum001 · 09/01/2012 15:33

On the bright side eva slept for 13 hours last night so at least you were refreshed :p grace has been having tantrums for a while now but nothing like that she can usually be distracted with a toy or food. I do tend to just walk away and leave her to it though if it's a bit of a bad one cause the attention makes her worse.

newmum that's awful. The thing is, it's so awful you can't really say anything to make it better. Sad How many weeks was she? I had a mc before falling pregnant with orlaith. I didn't know I was pregnant and still don't know many weeks I was. I woke up in loads of pain having contractions and bleeding loads. I just sat on the toilet bleeding while DP sat next to me and stopped me from banging my head when I kept fainting. It only lasted for 5 hours and then I went to sleep. We were in Cuba and it was a 3 hour drive to the nearest town so I just didn't bother doing anything about it. I think it is normal to have so much pain and bleeding but it doesn't mean she should just be left to it. Poor woman!

sassy orlaith doesn't really have major tantrums but shouts really loudly when she's frustrated/tired/hungry sometimes. She did it today when we were shopping. Shouting at me saying "bottle, bag, bottle, bag" (meaning I know there's an emergency bottle in your bag and I want it NOW!". So embarrassing and I struggle to distract her when it comes to her wanting bottles. It's always been that she wants a bottle when she's tired bit now she asks for them randomly, but only ever when we're out. Confused

BangWentMyTriangle · 09/01/2012 19:54

Hi Mammy...... nice to hear from you after not posting for a while Grin

Newmum so sad for your friend. It is hideous how incapable hospitals can be! I'm sure i'm still not over what happened when Jack was born but can't imagine feeling that loss. Hope she is on the mend soon...... physically and emotionally.
My friend went for her 20 week scan a week before Christmas and was told there was no heart beat. She was induced and delivered quickly. Her DH is an angel and so are her folks (known her since childhood) so she is being really brave and has a lot of shoulders if she needs them.

I can't believe how awful the OBEM program makes LGI seem. DH said to me "would you be filmed like that for a program?" I shocked myself and immediately said "yes.... at least I'd have a **ing midwife or 2!" Grin how come there's always a room full of staff and they all get their own private room?? Envy

Did a test yesterday but was BFN...... was way too soon to test but am ever hopeful! Grin

Ok..... on to the medical ???s..... Jack was totally off his food and sleeping a lot a few days ago..... got 8 spots on his back but wasn't too whingy and no major fever but now the spots have crusted over. All contained to his back but should I be worried? If they were viral would they still be there/crusty??

Lumps how was your trip to Center Parks? We want piccies! Grin

newmum001 · 09/01/2012 20:07

Have I missed something beadit, are you trying for a baby now? I'd take jack to the drs if I was you just to rule anything out. Grace gets spots when she has a virus but she's also got very sensitive skin so lots of things cause her to get a rash!

Saoirse my friend was 12 weeks, the baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks though. She's just txt and everything went well in hospital last night and she's only having mild cramps now and feeling a lot better!

saoirse86 · 09/01/2012 20:31

I hope she's ok. Sad

Yes beadit/bang is trying now. We'll start again in a few weeks I think. We might actually put some proper effort into it now. I think I'll even have to do that ovulation testing malarky because I can't work it out at the moment.

How are you getting on comix?

cinnamongreyhound · 09/01/2012 20:47

I have no experience newmum001 but I would not be happy to be sent home so many times but I suppose if it's never happened to you before you trust the medical staff.

saoirse86 Luke is similar if he knows something he wants is in my bag although he doesn't have the words yet!

Sorry to hear about your tantrum sassy34264, Luke is terrible with eating when he's tired! Sounds like Isobel is learning from her brother Wink

Bangwentmytriangle I had my own room in delivery suite which is all they show in OBEM I think and had midwives when I needed them. With ds1 because I was on a drip I had a consultant, a trainee dr of some kind and 2 midwives. With Luke I had 2 and at one point 3 midwives but I was only in labour whilst at hospital for 2hrs and then almost totally alone until we went home 4 hours later. Maybe I was lucky or perhaps you were very unlucky!!! I would say if they have scabbed the spots could be chicken pox, they don't always get lots. Get jack checked out if you're worried. Are you seriously trying or is it a if it happens you'll be happy?

Luke's chatting is becoming so much more like conversation now although he has no new words, he's just such a joy at the moment. I'm really starting to enjoy his company now iyswim. Anyone who is joining the weigh ins with me may want to try my fitness pal, excellent for tracking calories and I have it as an app on my phone.

cinnamongreyhound · 09/01/2012 20:49

Sorry x-posts saoirse86, best thing to do is have sex every other day for the whole month Grin

BangWentMyTriangle · 09/01/2012 21:01

cinnamon he only has them on his back Confused I maybe should go and get them seen or maybe I'll think he's never had the pox when actually he did Blush

We are trying but it is a case of if it happens as I'm not one for going by calender dates or checking my temperature...... though maybe if I'm still without a bump in the summer I'll start being more serious about it. We're not being careful but have only had the energy once since Christmas so it might take a while! Wink
