Wow you are totally prepared aren't you tsc! I haven't even got sorted for ds1's birthday yet...

Glad you're feeling better memph. Whilst not moving or anything, I am sick of our house looking a bit...generic, so am trying to do/find/make bits to make the rooms a bit more personalised like Cake says. Starting with the boys' rooms.

I've also been sorting cake - dug out the extension/dogs' room again and moved it all round again. Every time I turn round there's more shit in there - dh's new hobby is homebrewing so I not have the barrells, bottles and associated gubbins from that in there. (I might mention that the biggest thing in the room is actually the dogs' bed which is a two seater leather couch) I was having a mental sort out in my head last night about what I'll do with the room when we no longer have dogs. It'll become the dining room. Not that I'm wishing they weren't here or anything...

Trudy I totally agree with chulita re labour. I had a pretty terrible labour with ds1. DS2's was a doddle in comparison. I used bio oil religiously with ds1 and got stretch marks so didn't bother with ds2 and got maybe one? But it wasn't really a new one, mpre an extension of an exixting one iyswim. (It now goes either side of my belly button instead of just one side

Chulita I hope you still get on well :)

is dd1's veggie phase over now tsc?

weight-wise, i'm pretty much back to before but my boobs are bigger as i'm bf and so it makes buying dresses awkward - have returned several for that reason in the last month (am trying to fill gaps in my wardrobe after the big clear-out). pre-DCs i was a size 10 and a c-cup, i'm now a d-cup and 10s often seem tight across the chest. i don't dare buy stuff hoping it'll be ok once i stop bf as god only knows what they'll be like after bf, probably concave Sad

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 17/10/2011 15:20

:(

DesperateHousewife21 · 17/10/2011 19:17

Thanks cake I think half the problem is I dont actually mind the bf to sleep or the co sleeping it's more that I feel like time is passing by so fast and I want my body back to make another baby and I'm worried there's going to be a huge gap between the dcs because D won't stop feeding.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 17/10/2011 19:30

You manage to find the time and energy for enough nooky to ensure that's no problem dh Wink

DesperateHousewife21 · 17/10/2011 19:53

Lol if I wasn't bfing and on the pill I think I'd be preg about 100 times already!

Well I'm going to stop taking my pill in a couple of months and see what happens.

CakeandRoses · 17/10/2011 20:04

how different is your bust mlic? i'm so so scared about seeing mine post-bf as i haven't seen them non-pg or bf for nearly 4 years.

and on that note dh - i wouldn't worry too much about getting pg while bf etc. i got pg again easily and then stopped bf F when i was about 2 months pg with A. it would have been nice to have given my body a bit of a break but it would have only been for a couple of months and not sure it would have made any difference really. can understand why you want to tho.

veggie meatballs with spaghetti and tomato sauce tonight. one of my faves.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 17/10/2011 20:21

I also had a fab tea - homemade quiche and oven chips with coleslaw. Mmmm

I was a lovely 34D pre kids. Now I'm a 34C but my boobs feel sort of empty now. I can't really describe it but they used to be nice and firm even up at the top of the boob, but now it's all skin iykwim - I want my nice firm, full boobs back :(

CakeandRoses · 17/10/2011 20:48

i never enjoy oven chips - they seem so dry compared to proper ones. i feel like i'm missing the oven chip gene Grin. if we have something requiring that type of thing then we'll always have wedges. poor dh went from having chips almost every day up in yorks to having wedges once a fortnight or so and proper chips from a chip shop even less. i think his mother thinks i'm treating him terribly.

they do sound like nice ones! mine were never my best feature - nothing wrong with them but not especially amazing either so maybe i'll miss them less than you with your wonders!

i miss my stupendous super-flat, toned tummy more. my current one is fine really - i ought to be pleased that i've escaped 2 pgs and c-secs with it still looking relatively flat and with barely visible scars but it's hard not to miss my enviable abs of yesteryear.

DesperateHousewife21 · 17/10/2011 20:52

News flash!!! D has gone to sleep without me feeding him! Ok so I had to cripple myself kneeling next to his bed with my mouth practically in his ear saying sshh it's sleep time etc whilst stroking his eyes shut BUT he did it without me feeding which is a huuuggeee step forward.

Now just need to sort out what I'm going to do when he wakes up in the night.

DesperateHousewife21 · 17/10/2011 22:04

He woke up half an hour later so I did the same thing and it worked!
Fingers crossed for a good night.

He actually did go in at the midnight waking so that was nice. He's more than happy to help it's just D wanted me the first time.

I'm hoping to do a bit of gradual withdrawing so each night I can be a little further away from him til I don't have to go in at all.

He won't at midnight, half 3 then 4:40 when he came in with us but in future I'm going to get dh to do that one. Early morning has always been tricky, takes D a long time to go back to sleep even when I'm feedin him.

DesperateHousewife21 · 18/10/2011 07:34

He woke*

Chulita · 18/10/2011 08:01

I hate oven chips too, too dry and 'orrible, if we have chips (about once in a blue moon) it'll be chippy ones.

On the subject of boobs I was a 34C pre L but haven't really had enough of a break since, one month between stopping bfing L and pg with S and I was pg with Frijolito whilst bfing S. For the 1st 3 months of pgcy though they were empty-saggy-bags-of-rice-pudding feeling - disgusting :( I can't wait to have all the babies I'm going to and then work at getting a semblance of my body back. I never had visible abs but my stomach was flattish and I had a waist...

That's great dh! He'll get there, sounds like you're doing it in a very gentle way :)

S woke at 5am. I wish he'd get over this cold, needless to say he won't be having his mmr today.

Trudyla · 18/10/2011 08:18

Morning

Wow dh that is big progress. I'm so pleased for you.

I like oven chips with lots of mayonnaise

I hate to think about post breastfeeding/pregnancy bust. I was never quite happy with my body but always thought thems [hgrin] were my best feature. Well I can already tell that those days are gone [hsad]

I know chulita and mlic, I shouldn't panic, I've done it all before, but that somehow makes it worse.
Had another big panic attack last night. Seems to get worse as soon as it gets dark. Got a big telling off by midwife and DP. Feeling in control now, but we'll see what happens when darkness falls upon us... I hate, hate, hate darkness and long nights.

I'm 38+2 today, which was when M came [hhmm]

Sorry for turning this thread into ante-natal.

For some reason M has always, always refused to even try grapes. I kept giving them to her cos I knew she would love them. Today she tried one and then couldn't get enough [hgrin] Why don't they just accept that mummy knows best?

Not much planned for today. What are you all up to?

Chulita · 18/10/2011 08:36

I wish my two wouldn't eat grapes, they can't stop eating them but it gives them full-on gut rot! They'd live on fruit and nothing else given half the chance.

We're off to stay and play once S has his nap, I might have a bath while L watches Shaun the Sheep, I'm cold this morning.

CakeandRoses · 18/10/2011 08:38

trudy my dear - have you tried speaking to your counsellor again about your panic attacks?

did he/she give you any calming techniques such as self-hypnosis, visualisation or breathing exercises?

i used to get almighty panic attacks and horrific stress-related facial nerve pain (following being badly beaten up and sexually assaulted and then put thru a ridiculous farce of an investigation by the inept police - but that's a whole nuver thread) and i had to relearn how to deal with stress by not going into fight or flight mode again. i haven't had one in years now and rarely get properly stressed these days even tho it's my personality type to react that way, iyswim? it's had the bonus knock-on effect of making me much better at dealing with maffis pressure at work.

sorry to waffle on about me - just trying to say that it is possible to completely change your response to situations (as you already know from your last counselling sessions)

that's not going to help you.

dh nice one - really good work!

off to the city today so no time to post more til later

CakeandRoses · 18/10/2011 08:41

re grapes - my two aren't too fussed about fruit in general except the ubiquitous banana but i'm not worried as they eat masses of veg which has the slight edge nutritionally. they will eat other fruit but will never ask for it whereas F's fave food is carrots and he asks for them at every meal Hmm

i'm the same - love veg but find fruit a bit meh

memphis83 · 18/10/2011 08:44

cakes I fould some really nice curtains that were duckegg at the top and floral naffery at the bottom I loved them and showed DH and he said you are kidding arent you! he thought they were disgusting so I also took a pic of sone nice cream with different shades of blues spots that would look nice he like them, they are 3 times the price and we will need 2 of the biggest pairs they do so I told him he can buy them!
chulita L's room in the new house is an awful, its so bad it has to be changed before we move!

Dont hate me but my boobs are exactly the same as they were before, no change what so ever, a 34 D-DD, Im surprised they didnt sag as they went so maffis when pg, My sis bf and had 36c boobs and now has 34AA at a push, hers actually fitting into kids bras!

I spent all day in L's room emptying the giant wardrobes and I have re filled it with boxes all packed, thrown out 4 black bags and 3 to charity! dh pained 2 walls in our room last night but now have no packing boxes left! My friend is going to have our house, we gave her the landlords number and they are meeting her here at 11 today, what i think is awful is they havent warned me they have planned this, if they think they can show her around my house they can think again!

DesperateHousewife21 · 18/10/2011 08:48

I much prefer the gentler approach and so does he it suits us.

D also loves grapes and apples he'd eat them all day long if I let him.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 18/10/2011 09:07

Stop dissing the chips! Thanks for the support trude Wink I am the opposite, I hate chip shop chips. Grease, bleurghh. I have toyed with getting one of those fryers that only uses a tablespoon of oil as they're supposed to be good, but they're abour £120 Shock

Sounds like progress dh, well done

Trudy, I think the sooner this baby arives the better! The anticipation of the 'what if's is always worse than the reality. As soon as it's all over and you have your lo in your arms you will wonder what on earth you were worried about :) And don't worry about 'turning the thread into ante-natal' we all love hearing from you pregnant ones!

wrt fruit, my two are complete opposites. ds1 would live off fruit given a chance. He has already had a banana and some pineapple this morning as well as his breakfast. He loves all fruit, whereas ds2 will only eat bananas and satsumas Confused He won't entertain anything else. But the turkey and root veg casserole that was completely refused by both of them last week got demolished last night for their tea with mash and broccoli. Just goes to show that you have to keep trying, babies and toddlers will refuse something one minute and eat it the next, and vice versa!

SOunds like you're doing really well on the moving front memph. Are you totally recovered now?

Check me out - little miss 'I never go out' is going out Friday and Saturday this weekend Shock

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 18/10/2011 09:14

Oh and kk, those pics that your friend put on fb look like you had a great time!
