Excuse my typos. cba to pay attention tonight!

WhatSheSaid · 01/10/2011 21:52

Trudy wow, so near to the next baby being here!

tsc I didn't "get" your Clara in with him comment either, are her and F going to be sharing? Is she in her own room at mo? F is as well isn't he?

mlic nice beach photos, I'm the same with photos on Fb, I put up loads so that family/friends in the UK can see them - so I put up tons of photos of the girls, my friends are probably thinking "Not more photos of your kids!" - but really it's for the benefit of people who don't see them in real life.

I'm not that fussed on newborns and tiny babies tbh. They're cute but they're so tiring. I love the stage G is at now she is starting to say a few words and play with her sister etc, she is getting quite cheeky too. You know when people say "Well, I want another baby but do I want another toddler/child" etc. I always wanted the child, the person, the baby is not my main objective.

Went out to the waterfront here last night where they have big space for 12000 with giant screens and bars to watch the rugby. I couldn't care less about the rugby tbh but it was my friend's birthday so good to catch up with her and other friends and have a few beers. Dh got up at 5.30 with A so I got a lie in too.

Hi all, just jumping on before i jump in to my much needed bed. Weekends been ok so far with sis, she hasnt been too heavy, just overly concerned about what people think all the time which is a bit wearing. She did just announce that she didnt think i was going to make it to december with this baby????HUH!! I bloody hope i am! I asked he what she meant and she just said she didnt really know, she just doesnt think i will............nice.
I'll catch up tomorrow but hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.

Oh I love tiny newborns when they belong to someone else! I prefer D being this age too. His walkig is getting loads better he does it more than crawling now and it means he can do alot more.

He fell out the bed last night and hit the bedside table :( he's got a scratch from his right eye all the way across his forehead and hairline I feel really bad. We're def getting him his own bed soon, after out hol next week.

memphis83 · 02/10/2011 08:54

mlic I love pics when they are just doing their thing and not posing, got loads like that of L at the beach the other week, I put the pics on for friends that we rarely see then they arent so shocked when they see him and how much he has grown.
wss that sounds like a great day out, the screen sounds fab!
dh is he going into an actual bed? could you get a bed guard for your bed until he moves out?
My brothers baby is 3 months now and she is lovely but its taken me 3 months to say it, I just dont see babies as cute, now she is smiling she is, my friend is due this week and Im dreading having to pretend I think he is cute! Grin
dh is at work today, its glorious again, we are spending day with my mum, Ive pulled a muscle in my leg doing the dvd, but dh says he can already see a difference in my legs after 5 days!
Everytime L farts its wet and I have to change his nappy, on his third of the day already! his bum is still red raw :(

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/10/2011 10:37

Yeah he's in our bed still, I might get a bed guard because we'll need one when he gets his own bed anyway.

Going to my mums for a BBQ today :) all my family will be there and D will be in the paddling pool again!

The weather is shit here too - sounds the same as your neck of the woods. I'm gutted cos we're having a bbq at mam's and the kids won't be able to play int he garden now :( 7:30am sounds like a great night! My two slept through until ds2 woke at 6:30.

I didn't realise you meant an actual bed dh! Wow, that's early for a proper bed! ds2 would be on the floor every 5 minutes. When you say 'in his own bed' do you mean a bed tsc, or a cot? Just curious is all.

Nice one on your hard work paying off memphis. I am just getting over my pmt-feeding-frenzy and then I'll resume diet and exercise routine.

Chulita · 02/10/2011 12:17

tsc you can just add a bit of lemon juice to milk to curdle it rather than buying buttermilk. Why not just do a normal sponge?

S is driving me up the wall recently, he just whinges.all.day.long. He wakes up lovely for about 10 mins and then fusses all day. DH is working this weekend too so it's not been a break for any of us...

I might try S in a bed soon tbh, just cos cots irritate me (just his cot, it rattles every time he moves). I can't decide whether to try them in the same room again while he's in a cot or do it once he's in a bed...either way it's going to take a while to settle them both.

What did you decide about the cake dylthan?

memphis83 · 02/10/2011 19:29

My friends ds has been in his own bed since before one as he could get out of the cot by scaling the sides, L climbs into his cot by scaling the side but has never tried to get out, he likes it in there too much! He has books and a few toys at the foot of the bed so he likes to get in there!
Ive been with mum all day, L loves his baby cousin always kisses her but while visiting her he opened my wallet and saw pic of his daddy and started saying dad, daddy etc and then sat at the door crying for daddy :( he has gone bed without seeing him, dh wont be home til 9! We are going back to the farm we went to the other week tomorrow as the tea rooms looked so good and I will remember my camera this time!

Woodlands · 02/10/2011 19:44

hope everyone has had fun in the sun this weekend! we've been staying with my grandparents (my parents came too) which was lovely. They live in a big house in the country and I never quite know how much longer they'll be able to stay there (they are in their 80s) so it was lovely to get some nice photos of J playing in the garden there where I played as a toddler, and my mother before me! He wore himself out exploring all over the house and garden, going up and down the two staircases and round and round! Today we and my parents went for lunch in a pub where they had a family garden with a climbing frame, rabbits, chickens etc - it was great.

MalibuStac · 02/10/2011 21:54

Hi ladies, sorry I've not been around although I'm sure you'll have saw me waffling on fb. How are you all?

trudy you sound so positive its lovely to see. Can't believe your lo will be here soon.

viks the course is great but a lot of hard work. I'm waiting to start placement in a primary school which will be fab. How you keeping? Do you not get on with your sis?

memphis how exciting about the move, hope dh loves it so you don't have to sulk till 2015 (why then)

tsc would a reward system work with C? Do you think dd1 is being complacent cos she did well in her exams? My cuz says her homework is phenomenal since going into 5th year (sixth form).

mlisc did you still have a a bbq today?

dythlan how was the christening?

Need a bit of advice I start placement in a primary school soon and I don't have a clue what I need to buy to wear, any ideas? It would be like a classroom assistant.

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/10/2011 08:15

Yeah it is quite early for a proper bed but there's no point trying to get him in his cot now we were always going to get him his own bed around Xmas time. I'll put a bed guard on it so I'm hoping it'll be the same as him sleeping in our bed (which he can't get off on his own)
I reckon it'll be at least a month before it happens so he'll be about 16 months.

Dh got him to sleep last night, took him 45 mins til 8:45 and he was in a foul mood all eve afterwards because that is how D makes you feel after trying to get him to sleep for so long. He still woke at 11 then again at 5 ish so I dont think it makes much difference how he goes to sleep.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 03/10/2011 08:24

Stac just any old 'office wear'
Ie trousers/shirt sorts of stuff. Whatever you're comfortable in so long as it's smart.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 03/10/2011 08:25

Oh and no, it was tanking down so mam did a roast instead :)

Diet resumes today. I'll do one of my dvds at lunchtime when ds2 naps if I can be arsed

Woodlands · 03/10/2011 08:32

Stac I agree with MLISC but bear in mind you will get dirty so don't wear anything that isn't easy to wash!

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/10/2011 10:03

D is refusing his morning nap so I'll try again in a bit, he's got into an annoying routine of having a late nap in the morning so he's tired again by 3 which is why we have such trouble at bedtime. I might get him to hold out til 11ish and keep him up til bedtime.

viksam · 03/10/2011 10:31

dh i just got my D up after him being up there for half hour rolling around and banging his legs, he seems a bit brighter for some down time, i think hes coming out of needing his morning nap but i will put him down after lunch and hopefully he will have one and a half to two hours. Last night ws a mare, he slept soundly untill 3.45 then was crying out what seemed like every 10 mins, every time we started to drop off he would cry out again. I have no idea what could have been wrong, he had his dummy and wasnt too hot or cold, he obviously wasnt in pain as he would have cried properly, so i really dont know. Hes as good as gold right now, playing with the duplo, weird.
He had a cup of milk rather than a bottle for the first time this morning, i know it doesnt mean much but its a big step......for me, didnt bother him at all!
Got 28wk midwife app this week, just had a look at my notes and realized i should have booked a 25 week app too, oh well! looks like it will be every three weeks from now on.
I have to say im feeling huge! we looked at a pic of my belly two weeks before i had D and we recon im about the same size so im gona be maffis!!!
D has been saying hair today and touching mine or his, to me thats his first proper word but its a bit of a weird one!

tsc that would piss me off and does piss me off. I also scrap around for dosh as dh fills the garage with excersize equipment etc! Also hes just announced that hes not sure he can put any extra in the bank for when i potentially go back to work so we can put the children(!) into nursery!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.......the stone roses have just come onto the radio as i write to you, very apt me thinks!!!!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 03/10/2011 13:05

I know, I was Shock when dh told me yesterday it cost £50 to enter the Great North Run!

So; you don't have a job and he does, yet you have bought all those things and he's skint? Can't he see how ridiculous that is?

Sometimes they just have nights like that don't they vik, it's weird isn't it.

I have been re-motivated by miss memphis into doing my dvd today. I did the abs one rather than the shred - it certainly gets me sweating! So, small bowl of homemade parsnip soup for lunch and fish, roasted veg and cous cous for tea. Back. On. Track. Going to a wedding at the end of this month and haven't got a clue what to wear.

I've had a lovely morning, went to the park with a friend and her two, and whilst there my friend's dh turned up with their two too! So all the kids had great fun.

How did it go keeping him up to 11ish dh? Did he/you manage? Ds2 has been in bed since 12noon (hence being able to do dvd, just had ds1's whicging to endure throughout)

Oooo my latest copy of 'easycook' has just arrived so off to read it

viksam · 03/10/2011 14:28

'easycook' that sounds right up my street mylife!! I currently have cottage pie in the slow cooker! How good am i!! Ur excersize dvd sounds good but im sat here with choc cake and cup of tea whilst D is asleep! I love my days off!!

Yes he eventually went to sleep just after 11 and slept for an hour. He woke up without crying which is always good, he was just sitting on the bed playing with a car- bless! That's the only nap he's had today so maybe he only needs one now?
