The carpet company sold me enough to recarpet the entire house, charged top dollar, and then when it developed a fault a month after fitting they refused to accept liability, so I was left with stained and flattened carpets full of manufacturing faults and told to get on with it. They ignored my first specialist report so I have commissioned another. We are currently in dispute and the ombudsman is dealing with it. War. Don't buy Westex Carpets.

Nice to hear from you all! Seems ages ago that we filled a thread a day. Hope everyone is well and the April kids are thriving.

During the charming phase, there was a bit of a paper aeroplane incident near the cooker and Auld was most tolerant.

I am actually too full of food to move now. She made me eat two slices of home made quiche, tomato salad, grated carrot, and raspberry tart for lunch and force fed me two glasses of red wine and some liqueur. Literally force fed, I was. If she brings one small wafer thin mint near me I am doomed.

I am like one of those foie gras geese, held hostage in Auld's elegant and historic town house.

DID YOU KNOW she has an authentic 19th century lavoir in her garden - an extensive stone laundry facility original from the time of building the house. Vair cool.

I want to be force fed in an elegant townhouse . Where are you now? I can't remember where you decamped to after Reunion.

Still in Provence.
I have sent Boff off to wander around Aix en Provence while I MN during test invigilation work hard.

I am joking, these are pictures of the Hotel de Caumont that I visited in Aix which is well posh and really lovely and well worth a detour. It is an art gallery and small stately home. It was so beautiful that I had to recover by having a small Haagen-Dasz nearby in the sunshine while everyone was doing the school run

Is there anything more wonderful than eating until bursting-point whilst in France? I am so envious!

That lady has greying curly hair and the tiles on that floor look like the ones in my house, but other than that neither has much in common with me or my home.

The threads we wrote were classic, many of them, very funny and very supportive. I flicked through before Boff arrived, as I remembered we did a daft Boff'n'Auld show post once, and there are some seriously funny, witty posts on there.
Sigh....
