xxx everyone

anyone know a spinner? I started trying to sell my scarves (see FB)...going to sell on Etsy soon, and was hoping to find a local spinner to work with...

ZuluWarrior · 21/10/2012 19:39

Hello everyone! Sorry Bebe, I don't know a spinner...

PuzzleRocks · 22/10/2012 07:32

Hello people.

I am wanting sympathy. I have a really bad stomach bug and tomorrow we were supposed to be going away for 2 nights sans children to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. Only my bottom keeps exploding. And I feel dreadful. Sad

We have theatre tickets and everything. Sad

I am very grumpy and actually told DS1 to fuck off and get over himself at one point today. Blush Yes, I out-teenaged the teenager. BlushBlush

BoffinMum · 24/10/2012 19:27

I also fell out with a very important politician publicly yesterday because he was being a total arse, and I felt ill, and didn't feel like taking any more of his ill-informed nonsense. Actually he came off worse than me in the exchange, but still ...

Bicnod · 25/10/2012 11:44

Boff sympathy, glass of flat coke and a big high-five for out teenaging the teenager all coming at you :)

Hope you feel better tomorrow - maybe (fingers crossed) it's a 24 hour bug?

Visiting schools for Oscar at the moment - feeling very tearful everytime I think about him going off in September :(

How's everyone? Schulte - can't wait to see you and the girls next week Grin

BoffinMum · 25/10/2012 18:53

Well I am still alive and what a wonderful place I have ended up in! Very fancy B and B with free millionaire's shortbread in the room and every little detail perfect. Feel a little pale but scoffing the shortbread is helping gradually rally WinkGrin

BoffinMum · 25/10/2012 18:55

Should probably have packed a scented candle for DH's benefit, though Grin

bebemoojem · 26/10/2012 12:51

Glad you made it to your date Boff :) You lead such an interesting life; please write a book.

bebemoojem · 26/10/2012 12:53

Hi everyone. Biscuit Brew

BoffinMum · 26/10/2012 23:01

I am not sure it would be that interesting a book!!!Wink

I had my first proper meal all week tonight, which was very nice.

Went around Shakespeare's birthplace today. Grander than I thought it would be.

ZuluWarrior · 29/10/2012 13:01

Sounds lovely Boff. Happy anniversary!

BoffinMum · 29/10/2012 22:42

Thank you!

Went around Shakespeare's final home as well as his daughter's marital home. The latter was my favourite, it has a lovely physick garden. Also saw his former classroom and sat in the teacher's chair! Grin Great trip away.

AuldAlliance · 30/10/2012 14:12

Bonjoooooour Warriors!

Life interrupts all too often, but I think of you at times and wonder how the April babies are doing.

A started "school" in Sept, and is doing great given the hellish long days (8:30-4:30). He only wobbles about having to eat at the canteen (no pasta or chicken, he says), but has made lots of friends and is settling in well. Relief all round. He is not a toddler any more but a real little boy, who loves jokes and rude words (caca boudin being his favourite), running, climbing, lego and books. His English is, erm, idiosyncratic, but coming along OK.

How's the Boffbot, Boff? All better? Your trip sounds lovely. DH took me to Paris for my birthday this weekend, 'twas very nice.

Hope everyone else is well!

PuzzleRocks · 30/10/2012 18:40

Determined to post when I get a spare minute (hollow laugh). Thinking of you all.

BoffBot is recovered, thank you

Last day at current workplace tomorrow, yippee! Grin

Bicnod · 30/10/2012 20:26

At the end of my tether with J's sleep - any thoughts here gratefully received :)

BoffinMum · 06/11/2012 15:27

Remind me again what you do when you are on leave????

AuldAlliance · 06/11/2012 22:20

Last time I was on leave I spent ages on the FW threads.
Other than that: cook food you don't have time for usually? read lots? watch daft films? renovate your bathroom?

Schulte · 09/11/2012 18:04

April ladies, hello! If anyone fancies discussing threadworms, please meet me on my thread in the 'health' topic... Grin

BoffinMum · 10/11/2012 12:09

Your wish is my command, Auld. I am indeed re-renovating the bathroom! Shower jacuzzi bath, sink and loo with cupboard underneath. You can come to try the jacuzzi when it's done, if you like!

AuldAlliance · 10/11/2012 17:59

I have never renovated a bathroom in my life. And you are re-renovating...
I'll come and try out the fruits of your labours, Boff, when I can.

Can I ask - in a whisper - how many of the April babies are dry at night?

BoffinMum · 11/11/2012 08:07

Good question. Felix was managing one accident a week until recently, when he relapsed to about 4 accidents, so he is back in pyjama pants now. He also relapsed on the poo front at the same time, during the day. Not sure what to do, actually.

AuldAlliance · 11/11/2012 20:03

Ah. Well, it's probably of little comfort, but Alex is still not dry at night. Nor during naps, which isn't a problem here, as he's given up napping at home (apart from yesterday, when I found he'd made a sort of nest of downies and pillows in my walk-in cupboard and was napping there alongside loads of soft toys and playmobils. v cute). But at school they all have a nap, and I have been handed a bag of wet garments on 3 occasions now.
DS1 just trained himself, we used to hear him groping his way onto the potty at all hours of the night. Alex, however, blithely sleeps through.
I don't know if it's just a question of his not being ready, or if we should be more actively doing sth...
