We are not high but we may have consumed some wine between us. Auld is attempting to prevent her youngest from seeing the vagina monologue bridal dresses (which are fab, by the way) and I am on her sofa with more wine. Glad to have you all back. GrinGrinGrin

By the way, we are moving into a commune in France with you all. Auld and I saw it in an estate agent's window today.

It.
Has.
A.
Pool.

Get packing.

BoffinMum · 17/10/2015 20:14

BTW I think Kate Middleton should have worn the vagina dress for her wedding. The impact of that on 9 billion viewers internationally would have been tremendous.

ZuluWarrior · 17/10/2015 20:37

Testing

BoffinMum · 17/10/2015 20:37

Where has everyone gone?!
There was once a time when we filled a thread in a day.
This one has taken 4 years 3 months and is not full yet.
Have you all gone and GOT A LIFE? Shock

ZuluWarrior · 17/10/2015 20:38

Oh! I seem to be back. I've always wanted a vagina dress.

BoffinMum · 17/10/2015 20:45

Zulu! High Five!

Springymajig · 17/10/2015 20:53

A life? What's one of those? What is everyone up to these days? Besides lesbian affairs and pool boy exploitation? (Fairly standard fare for the FWs, surely...)

ZuluWarrior · 17/10/2015 20:55

I thought about having a lesbian affair but I couldn't be arsed. Working and child herding mostly. A bit of running and drinking in between. You?

Springymajig · 17/10/2015 21:03

I've started trying to take up running a few times but always quit before it gets easier. I used to be able to run for miles but now I'm just a wobbly coach potato. I admire those of you who have the stamina and willpower to stick with these things. The main thing in my life is that I'm currently in the first week of our first round of IVF injections. Pressurised work and a high needs DS too, but the IVF is the most consuming thing at the moment... If it ever works, I'm not sure I'll feel as at home on another antenatal board as I did on the FW ones! Smile

ZuluWarrior · 17/10/2015 21:08

Have watched a couple of friends do ivf and all I can say is: respect. Hope it works and high needs boy takes it easy on you. My first, fanjo warriors boy also requires a lot of, er, patience (which I am sadly short of) so I can only imagine what your life is like! Xx

mathshoneybunny27 · 17/10/2015 21:16

Hi! Grin

Springymajig · 17/10/2015 21:23

IVF isn't too bad yet because it's only early days. I'll get back to you in a few weeks Grin

I have a theory that maybe FW children are just trouble? Too much MNing sent mischief through the placenta or something? That's how science works, surely...

& helloooo! Reassembling the crew, slowly but surely!

PuzzleRocks · 17/10/2015 21:28

Sorry, posted some vags and ran. I am trying to catch up on some work so I don't have to do anything over half term. We are taking the girls to Paris for four days and I want to be a chilled as possible. I do miss our old chats though. I'll try and post a bit more soon.
And I'll seriously ponder the question of who's the laydee!

Oh my fucking god, I just saw Springy's messages. All the best to you lovely.

No need for a fem.... Just be who you are and fuck the stereotypes... :)

BoffinMum · 17/10/2015 21:33

Best of luck, Springs Old Girl, although there is a certain irony in the IVF situation given George's enthusiastic appearance into the world.

Puzzle, 'posted some tags and ran'. Not every day you can say that phrase. Grin

Ah, the joys of MN.

BoffinMum · 17/10/2015 21:33

VAGS

Fucking spellcheck

Springymajig · 17/10/2015 21:40

Thanks Puzz Smile The Paris trip sounds amazing - what a lovely idea. I always find the Eiffel Tower to be strangely grounding. I went to Paris by myself after I separated from Dickhead and spent a lot of time just sitting near it, feeling all zen. I keep thinking that we should take DS at some point, so you'll have to let me know how you find it / hints and tips!

Springymajig · 17/10/2015 21:43

Haha, Boff, I started typing a whole thing about the irony but thought that I was already being overly chatty so deleted it! But yes, quite... It isn't even just DH though - I've now been diagnosed with PCOS and hormonal imbalances, etc. between the two of us, natural conception is virtually impossible. On the plus side, we'll never have to interrupt the moment for condoms ever again! Every cloud!

BoffinMum · 17/10/2015 21:49

You say that Springy but that is how you are likely to conceive your twins by accident at the age of 40. Trust me. WinkGrin

Now, speaking of multiple births, it's Barbarella I would like to track down. Triplets being 6 now means SURELY she must have a bit of time to update us? Hm?

BoffinMum · 17/10/2015 21:51

BTW Springy, can I recommend Zombies! Run! which is a great 0-5k running app for phones and very motivating.

Did I tell you I went on a pain management course and have got a lot better, SPD-wise? Still not perfect but much more in control?

Springymajig · 17/10/2015 21:55

God, the idea of 3 x DS is just terrifying. Poor Barbarella Shock It would definitely be nice to have a catch up though; it would put a lot of things into perspective!

What have you been up to?

Springymajig · 17/10/2015 21:57

Ooh, I might have a look at that, thanks.

I'm so pleased that you've got it more under control now. It must have been so totally demoralising - you're not a woman who is well suited to being limited in such a way!

BoffinMum · 17/10/2015 22:20

New and better job a couple of years back.
A few family crises that I can't go into here.
Made over the house and had a big fight with a carpet company.
Grew a fibroid called Brian.
Learned to ski.

That kind of thing.
Currently staying with Auld and having a Very Nice Time.

Springymajig · 17/10/2015 23:17

Well, that all sounds very intriguing! How is Brian doing? And what did the carpet company do to offend?
