mlic yes it does serve you right, I hope you learn from this mistake and eat a full bag next time!
trudyla I agree with mlic, she wont remember screaming without you being there, who ever looks after her needs to be prepared for her screaming and then they know its normal for her, I could imagine giving birth without DH and he wouldnt miss it unless he wasnt here because of work and missed it my accident.

Last night was the worst night in L's sleeping history, he started crying at midnight, by 2 I felt really sorry for him and nothing I did soothed him, so I gave him a bottle, then he started again before 4 didnt settle til I gave him another bottle about 6, then he screamed at 7, He looks shattered so I lay him down again, put on his lullaby again and he slept til 9! I never normally give him bottles in the night but I know he isnt right, his teeth look ready to pop today the gums are beetroot red and then white on the edges.

It is scorching here, got volunteer coming shortly then lifestyle coach then after lunch may take him for a long walk to a big park a few miles away.

Morning all! Sorry to hear there have been bad nights and troubles all around. :( It might well be something in the air or a full moon, as even M has had a couple of not-bad-but-unsettled-for-her nights! (As in she woke once in the early hours, and went straight back to sleep after a brief cuddle.)

Personally, I'm suspecting it's the warmth and humidity, it's very sticky to try and sleep at the moment. Her room has been 26C at bedtime for the past few days!

Been a bit slow with posting again, things have all gone manicrazy here! The house we looked around on Friday was absolutely perfect for what we need to tide us through 1 or 2 more children arriving before we can emmigrate. We put an offer in on Saturday, which has been provisionally accepted. Grin

Provisionally, because we have to sell our house first. Confused So we've been running around all weekend getting the house prepped to sell. Estate agents are coming around to finalise everything and get some keys this afternoon, as we're then off on holiday tomorrow for a week. Shock

I really hope we can sell quickly and buy the bigger house. It's literally round the corner from where we live now, but much more modern and with four large bedrooms instead of our tiny 2.5 bedrooms. The garden is twice as big too! For the price, I think it's a bit of a steal. I'm just worried other potential buyers might think so too! [chews nails]

spirael wow hope it all works out ok and you have a great holiday, where are you going?
tsc I got a unit from Ikea its for 8 deep square shelves then you can buy the baskets to go in each hole so all toys arent in one big box. Glad to hear Frankie is getting better.

I've got the same as memphis I think, Ikea wooden frames with plastic boxes in.
mlic I honestly don't know why you bother! Think of the more fun/important things you could be doing rather than ironing.
There's something I'm itching to get for L from Ikea but the nearest one is 3 hours' drive away so I don't know when that'll get bought!
spirael fingers crossed for you, that sounds almost too good to be true! Am very Envy of 4 bedrooms!

This is the 3rd day in a row I've dropped S's morning nap, and the 3rd day he's only slept 40 mins the whole day, from 5.15am til 7pm. Instead of making him sleep later, he's waking the same but sleeping less at nap time :( I'm going back to morning naps tomorrow, I can't handle this. He's shattered, whingy, fussy and to top it all off today L hasn't napped so they're both getting on my nerves and it's a looooooooooooooong time til bed.

Am having shit time too. Not enjoying work (atmosphere awful and everyone jumping ship) up since 1.30 btwn both children and L cried from getting up at 5.30 to leaving the house for nursery at 7.50. No food in house and his knows when will get any as didn't get children to sleep til nearly 9 last night. Hope not more if same tonight :(

mellissa how awful, bad enough for no sleep for then to go to work in a shitty environment, hope all settles down for you tonight.
mlic our dog seems to leave the patio sets alone never even sniffs around them, could you get some of the dog reppelant spray in and spray the bottom of the legs of the set when you get it?

Im bored stiff, ive cleaned the house downstairs, L's room is a tip and got all the ironing in there, so cant do that, ive even weeded garden and put all my cd's and ice scraper and what not in the car, L has been asleep since 12! dont want to do anything upstairs to disturb him as I know he must really need it after last night.

tsc oh no what's happened?

Storage wise I just seem to have baskets everywhere our house is a new build so there is no actual storage . I would love to get a carpenter in to build me some proper cupboards and things. I have never been to an IKEA but I would love if one came up here. Their storage things look great but I would like to see them in the flesh rather then just a picture on their website it I was going to buy something big.

spireal fingers crossed you sell your house quickly. The new house sounds like a dream. We would love a bigger house preferably more in the country but there's already 5 houses for sale around our way. So I really don't think ours would sell Sad

We have thought about maybe renting out our house and buying some land and then living in a caravan on said land until the housing market picks up and then selling our house and building the house of our dreams. But I'm not a slumming in in a caravan type of gal Wink and it probably wouldn't work out anyway would it.

Melissa sorry that work is shit at the moment. :( I hope things improve for you soon.

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/08/2011 16:46

trudy hes in our bed so its probably the heat, its 25C in our room at night.

I was coming home on the park and ride bus earlier and D in the buggy was in the little area for buggies/wheelchairs and I was sat in front so we were facing each other and the bus came to an abrupt stop and the buggy went flying over backwards! D was most surprised, he didnt cry though, I was so emabarassed Blush Grin

memphis83 · 02/08/2011 16:55

Sorry you're feeling shit tsc, hope you get some solutions soon.

D is being a fucking nightmare, he just wont settle, even in my bed with me feeding him. He keeps kicking me and pinching me and getting up onto his knees. Ive attempted to get him to sleep 3 times tonight. I gave up in the end, DH is in there with him. Ive got a headache and cant deal with it anymore.

memphis83 · 02/08/2011 21:00

tsc no wonder you walked out, hope dp gets a bit of time off to help you out.
dh what does he do when you put him in the cot and close the door? I havent settled L to sleep in months he used to cry but generally goes off quickly now.
DH is now away til Thursday, in gutted, I just know that I wont get any sleep tonight with L's teething and them probably not tomorrow after his MMR, Im getting myself all worked up about them already!

Hope the house stuff all works out spireal I'm also Envy of 5 bedrooms, I would be happy with 3.

memphis R was fine after the mmr a bit grumpy but calpol sorted it. She is being a bugger just now but I really think its a mixture of everything. Can someone go with you? Do you still see your support woman?

Hope everyones lo's sleep/settle/are less grumpy for us all.

kkfairybrains · 02/08/2011 21:40

Hey everyone! God everyone is having a crap time of it lately :( E has been ok today but has been a bit unsettled since mmr but nothing major memphis so hopefully L will be the same. You'l cope fine and it'll be thursday before you know it!
Tsc you sound completely exhausted you poor thing. Try and get to bed early to squeeze in all the sleep you can. Could dp take a sickie tomorrow?
Chul god it must be hard with the sickness and two kids :(
Melissa how are you now?
Cakes how did it feel to be back at work?

memphis83 · 02/08/2011 22:04

mlic you are the tough love queen! Grin But I wont take any shit from L, I am the boss!! Yesterday he tried to snatch a pen off me and it was a war of wills and when I looked at him all serious and said You Will Not Win Lyndon he let go and toddled off! Grin I also put him in his cot and leave him in the day if heis tired and gets all angry, He cries for 2 mins then dozes off.
stac I still see her she was here today but I just chat to her, I dont use her to help with L as it doesnt feel right saying oh you look after him while I go iron. There is no one who can come with me as if dh cant come sil comes but with the kids of school she cant.
Just been outside its still so warm, so glad our house is cool!

Woodlands · 02/08/2011 22:18

it is blinking boiling! I am desperate to have a go of a paddling pool - I have bought one but our flat is upstairs and we have no outside tap, and the hose doesn't fit on the kitchen tap anyway. I have been hinting at all my friends for an invite to someone's garden but we keep meeting up in the park instead!

I have to take J for his jabs tomorrow - haven't yet decided whether to get his MMR at the same time as the 12 month ones. I'll see what the nurse says. Am veering towards getting it all over with at once TBH.
