cinnamon I don't think I know of anyone that doesn't value raising children........ except perhaps men from a certain era with issues about man/woman roles in the house.
I just feel that at the moment I'm doing half a job with my business and half a job with Jack. Not that I'm neglecting him at all ...... more that I spend so much time flapping around and stressing to get stuff organised when I wish I could just chill and play row-row-row your boat for longer or fix his cot bumper for him.

sassy everything Jack is in now is 12-18 months Shock he's top 1% for height Smile
I bet Isobel's clothes look tiny! [gorgeous emoticon] Grin

banana invite the people that will make it remain a happy day and not those who you'll be thinking about when they're there. We couldn't invite loads of people to our wedding but they still sent amazing good wishes and never made a comment to anyone about it. Or you could invite her and put super glue in her sandwich Blush Hmm

Beadit i still use my M&P MPX for Luy an will for as long as I can, DD2 still fits in it at almost 3. When we are out we use an OBaby stroller which I don't really like. I almost bought the Chicco stroller but the Obaby was a bit cheaper. I only use it for the car so not too often, I don't like the way she is only forward facing and low down.

Sassy Isobel must be tiny. Lucy is still in 6-9m but she is in her 9-12m as that is summery. all the arms are long and the legs go over her toes

bananacurry · 23/07/2011 19:58

Beadit Tobys still wearing some 12-18month clothes! He's only 27lb! He had a pair of Ollys 3-6 month trousers on the other day. They made fab crops!!! How Tall is Jack??

I'm too much of a people pleaser. I've caved. We're hiring the local village hall & inviting everyone!!! I'm going to combine it as a bit of a christening type party too cos as far as most people are aware they've not been christened!

cinnamongreyhound · 23/07/2011 20:14

That's good to hear beaditAli as I know lots! I felt like that when I was working part time and childminding part time and being a part time mum, it's horrible feeling like you are not doing a very good job in every aspect of your life (not suggesting you're not doing a good job just that I know what it's like to feel you're not).

If hiring a hall and inviting everyone will make you happy then thats the right thing to do bananacurry.

Some of Luke's 6-9month clothes are too small but most are fine and 9-12 are HUGE on him!

We had a lovely day today few errands this morning, then pizza hut for lunch with a friend and her little boy. Then we went blueberry picking, both boys love them and they charge £5/Kg! It was good fun and all three boys were very good. Then they slept which gave me a chance to clean the house, not fun but leaves tomorrow totally free for swimming. With both of them either being spotty or scabby we haven't been since our holiday!

beaditAli · 23/07/2011 20:29

I have to add that I have to carefully select 12-18 month clothes from certain shops as some hang off him but absolutely nobody's 9-12 month clothes fit him for length! It's so funny! He's a true 'Beanstalk'
banana I think he measured 75cms at his check at 9 months but I'll have to check.
The village hall will be lots of fun and a whole lot easier for you.

Sad news about Amy Whinehouse..... glad shes not leaving behind a little one without it's mummy.

cinnamon we reeeeeeeeally need to get to a swimming pool soon! Have fun tomorrow Grin

banana ..... thanks for the text re: mrr and egg allergy. I'll wait until he eventually has his allergy tests and then see what the advice is but having it in hospital seems the norm for non-eggers Grin

OP posts:
bananacurry · 23/07/2011 20:46

mrr??????? do they do it differently in yorkshire Wink Its cos the vaccine is grown on the egg shell so the chance of a reaction is pretty low cos egg isn't actually a component. Always better safe than sorry tho. especially with children!

Ollys 72cm at 11 months.

Tobys staying at his godparents tonight. he's stayed once before when he was 11 months but other than that has only ever stayed with family. I'm absolutely fine & trust them completely but just feel a bit odd. I can't really explain it, Its like he's suddenly grown up and is having adventures without us! I suppose I feel a bit lost!

bananacurry · 23/07/2011 20:56

On the subject of birthdays, the 1st is today! I've just had a look back out of curiosity as to what I'd posted a year ago & there was the 1st birth announcement!!! I know she doesn't post anymore but Happy Birthday to love2dances baby boy!!!!!!!

Dixiebell · 23/07/2011 22:18

That's crazy, banana, I remember it all started seeming more real once the LOs started popping out! Can't believe it's a whole year ago since the first one. One still seems a long way off to me, well Arlo is the youngest as he's 4/10 (due date was 25/9), but maybe I'm kidding myself, it is only a few weeks really!

Debs75 · 24/07/2011 08:23

Didn't lovetodances have an EMCS early?

I vaguely remember her posting about it being really rushed and thinking 'I hope that doesn't happen to me' then going to clinic a couple of weeks later and having to come back in for an induction 4 weeks earlySad
Have a happy birthday baby boy

Lucy is still in bed, as usual. When I took her up last night and put her in our bed she screamed so much she woke dd2 up. How am I going to 'train' her not to be such a light sleeper?

bananacurry · 24/07/2011 09:29

Yeah, The baby wasn't growing & there were problems with blood flow etc. He was only 3lb! Not sure how early.

How can I train Olly not to wake at 5.30 every morning?! Debs what does your dd2 do when she gets woken up??

sassy34264 · 24/07/2011 09:55

i think she was 6/7 months ish. didnt the midwifeell her to go in for a scan on the fri cos she hadnt felt him move but she wanted to wait till the mon cos of work commitments and i think the midwife very bluntly told her she might have a dead baby by then. think sometimes its best to tell it like it is. his name is raphael.

well dp's situation is getting worse. there was a plane cancelled on thurs, so now there is a back log. instead of him coming back on the 28th plane he's now been told he'll have to try the 1st aug and thats not guaranteed. his only hope is that the commanders may try to slot him on due to his nan's situation but it's not looking promising. Sad

cinnamongreyhound · 24/07/2011 10:02

Was just going to post that sassy34264, I loved the name but not sure I'd have been brave enough to go for something so different!

Amazing really that from due dates in September we spanned July-October!

Is there anyway to edit the thread title beaditAli? I just remember someone a while ago finding us and saying it was tricky to find us without Sept2010 in the title, wouldn't want others to be looking for us and failing.

Lovely sunny morning but not very warm. Right off to bath the boys and walk dog before dh gets home from work!

cinnamongreyhound · 24/07/2011 10:03

Meant to say sorry about your dp too sassy34264 but forgot before I got to the end! Really hope he mananges to get back to say goodbye to his nan.

Debs75 · 24/07/2011 10:50

Banana she gets into bed with me and Lucy. Usually she wakes between 5 and 6am and gets in and goes to sleep. Getting in at 11pm was a bit uncomfortable

JodeyBogeyPicker · 24/07/2011 13:30

Afternoon ladies.

Re: sizes! Harlyn is in 12-18 too. Last wk he weighed 2 stone and half a pound. Not had him measured for a while but he does still look in proprtion. I can't find my red book since the move. It's driving me insane.

Harlyn stood on his own for about 4 seconds today. I can't believe how quickly he is developing and becoming mobile. He's currently very snotty and has a cough! Still going swimming today though ashes ok within himself.

Also, what s beeeeeaautiful day! Loving the sunshine.

Oh yeah, I'm too thinking about the smart trijet thing for harlyn's birthday. Where has the time gone!!!!

beaditAli · 24/07/2011 18:17

Cinnamon I'm not sure?? We could start a thread called "September 2010... we are here!" and add a link to our latest thread each time we start a new one???

OP posts:
bananacurry · 24/07/2011 19:03

I don't get why people struggled to find us tho cos the link to the new thread has always been at the end of the last!

beaditAli · 24/07/2011 19:50

I did think that too banana but might be a good idea to put Sept 2010 on the next thread title?? You on fbook tonight?

OP posts:
bananacurry · 24/07/2011 20:50

I'm there but you've gone!!!! Too busy with Elmo & chelles too busy having a massage!!!

JodeyBogeyPicker · 25/07/2011 07:49

I really should preview my posts for typos! Soz! Will have plenty of time to do that now I'm off work for 6 weeks! So so happy! I'm going to appreciate every single second!

newmum001 · 25/07/2011 07:59

Grace has started cruising and yesterday she walked for about 20 seconds holding onto her little toddle truck thing! I can't believe how fast this is all happening!

After 3 nights of blissful uninterupted sleep last night was a bit of a nightmare. She woke up twice and the 4am wake up she was very difficult to settle! It's deffinately her teeth this time though. From the looks of it she's got about 4 coming through at the back and sides poor sod. I shall be giving regular calpol today to see if that helps!

sassy34264 · 25/07/2011 08:16

ARGH! Dp managed to get on the plane last night and they had to cancel it! Angry Sad
so now he has to try again tonight with all the people from yesterday and all the people who are meant to be going today. ffs. i asked how he had managed that, but he said dont ask. he said something about beg, steal and borrow. very determined is dp. fingers crossed. spoke to the care home and his nan is hanging on.
isobel has teeth coming through to newmum she bit jacob's face yesterday Sad. he was crying his eyes out, came running from the kitchen and he had teeth marks top and bottom of his chin and a bit of blood, it was awful. had to really tell her off and she was crying her eyes out. i turned my back on her as well while i comforted jacob and she spent the next 5 mins trying to get my attention and smiling at me while tears and snot where running down her face. i ended up crying it was so heartbreaking cos shes so gorgeous. im not use to her being naughty. i know why she has done it though, jacob will have taken something off her- he wont let her have anything.......little sod.

cinnamongreyhound · 25/07/2011 09:34

I'm not very familiar with mn and I wouldn't know how to find our old threads without searching through chat beaditAli and bananacurry so wouldn't be able to easily find the threads. Whereas if it had sept2010 in the title it would be easily found in postnatal threads, and someone did mention it. Perhaps if you're more comfortable with mn it's very easy Blush

I know it's really scary newmum001, Luke is taking a few steps every day but always falls over straight after so I wouldn't call it walking but he can cruise very easily and stand for ages without holding on (except when I have my camera!).

:( for your dp and biting episode sassy34264, I had a minded little boy who bit and it was always ds1 he bit. I was very sad because it was very typical in that it was when he got very emotional- sad, angry, excited and took a good 6 months to finally stop him.

So nice having no school runs and got my baby at home with me all day!! Grin Luke was up at 6 today though so no lay in for me :(

beaditAli · 25/07/2011 11:27

cinnamon why not just start a new thread then? I'm sure we'd all know how to find the next one and then if you name the title our missing mners can too! Grin
3 days with no Jack at the end of this week so looking forward to it but also gonna miss him madly!
Everyone have a good weekend?

sassy hope you get your man back soon! xx
